Chapter 92: Green Family Patriarch
Chapter 92: Green Family Patriarch
Wansu City only looked peaceful on the surface.
There were still many things that happened below that many people didn’t dare to say and always kept to themselves in fear that it would affect the overall situation of Wansu City.
But they knew that these four magic families and many other smaller families were actually not very peaceful.
With Yun being so close with them...
Yun’s father sighed.
"Yun, I hope you can be careful when you do missions." Yun’s father suddenly said after they finished eating. "And I want you to practice harder during this period of time. You only have one year before you have to start doing missions outside of Wansu City."
When Yun was in Wansu City, her safety would be more or less guaranteed.
But after she went out...
Yun’s father couldn’t say the same and he was naturally very worried.
He didn’t want anything to happen to his daughter.
Yun looked at her father and smiled faintly. "Father, you don’t have to worry about me. I can take care of myself and I will not get hurt so easily."
Yun’s father saw his daughter’s expression and sighed in his heart.
He felt that his daughter might not understand the implication of someone who would stay close to the patriarch’s children.
He could only hope that no one would scheme against these children when they were still within Wansu City. Otherwise, things would turn messy when they turned their heads against each other openly.
...
The Green Family Patriarch went back to his home and found his wife, Melia, was already waiting for him. It seemed that she had heard about what happened during the day.
"You’re back." Melia looked at the Green Family Patriarch with a worried look.
"Don’t worry, nothing will happen," the Green Family Patriarch said with a faint smile.
"Don’t say that... come inside first." Melia frowned and pulled the Green Family Patriarch inside. Her son, Keita, had already gone to bed and Melia didn’t want that brat to hear what she was about to say to her husband.
It was not right for him to know about this matter so quickly.
"Ok." the Green Family Patriarch could only listen to Melia’s words and the two of them headed to their bedroom. Once they were inside, the Green Family Patriarch infused mana to the tool beside the door frame and looked at his wife. "What do you want to ask?"
"Did you involve Nelia’s students?" Melia asked worriedly.
When she first heard that there would be students who graduated early after the sudden examination, she was surprised. This was because there were already students who graduated early before the last semester ended. Those were the students who were qualified and had long planned to graduate early.
And now...
Melia felt that these students who were forced to graduate should be students who didn’t have any plan to graduate early before.
After the news came to the Green Family Residence, Melia was sure that she was right.
The youngest were the children from the patriarchs’ families and they were actually one year away from their real graduation year. But because of this matter, they were forced to graduate early.
Even though Melia knew that the situation in Wansu City was quite tense, she didn’t expect the children would be involved.
This made her think about her own son.
If Keita was of age... would he also be forced to graduate early?
Thinking about this made Melia feel bad.
She didn’t want her son to face such a thing.
So after the Green Family Patriarch came back, Melia dragged her husband to have a long talk with her to discuss about this matter.
But before he could come back home, Melia found out that the teacher arranged for these children was actually Nelia’s student.
"Yes." the Green Family Patriarch looked at Melia and scratched the back of his head. "You don’t have to worry about this matter. The Black Family Patriarch has agreed."
Melia rolled her eyes. "Don’t you know that boy’s embarrassing situation in the Black Family?"
While the Black Family didn’t seem to be mistreating Silas, she knew very well that this teenager had to work hard to earn enough money for his mother’s medication and so on. Without him working hard and taking countless missions... there was no way he could pay for the medicines his mother needed.
The Black Family didn’t care about him.
Ever since he graduated, he had to work hard by himself.
And because of the war before, Silas almost didn’t spend much time in the academy and was forced to to the frontline.
It was really distressing.
"I know." the Green Family Patriarch sighed. "But this is Teacher’s decision."
Hearing this, Melia took a deep breath.
She knew better than anyone that her husband still respected the Fourth Head of Wansu City. Because he’s the Green Family Patriarch’s direct master.
He couldn’t possibly fight his master openly.
It’s not right.
