Chapter 191: Care
Chapter 191: Care
"Don’t worry, they didn’t do anything excessive," Silas said with a comforting tone.
Nothing excessive?
Aya blinked her eyes and her eyes moved towards Silas’s left hand that was folded back unnaturally. Her eyes narrowed slightly because she could sense a special magic there. As a formation master, she was naturally very familiar with this.
From a distance, Aya didn’t sense anything, but when Silas was right in front of her, she naturally sensed it.
"Now that I’m here, let’s start our classes."
"Eh?"
"Tell us about what happened first, Brother Silas!"
"Yes!"
"We want to know what happened to you!"
"Don’t try to tell any lies to us!"
They immediately protested. Not being able to know what happened to Silas was really bad and these students refused to start their lesson for the day without having any knowledge of what had happened.
Anyway, they would keep protesting!
Silas looked at Leon helplessly. "What do you know so far?"
"That there’s a spy and your mother is also helping the spy," Leon replied with some hesitation. He was not sure that Silas would be fine with this matter.
"That’s it." Silas nodded.
"So..."
"So you don’t have to think too much and just train." Silas smiled. "I’m fine."
The children looked in Silas’s direction and pursed their lips.
Would he truly be fine if his own mother betrayed the city and their family?
But they didn’t ask for more.
Since Silas had already said this, they couldn’t really bring themselves to ask more to Silas. After all, they all came from big families and had learned the art of seeing people and reading other people’s expressions. Silas’s expression clearly told them that he would not tell them anything more.
Rather than asking more questions and making Silas annoyed, it would be better for them to start training first.
"Let’s start with the knowledge of formation..."
"Ahh, wait, I don’t know!"
"Ugh, did you not read the books, Dean?"
"... What is this formation? I don’t think I have ever seen it."
"Hahaha, Leon, this time I’ll win!"
"B*stard!"
"I know these!"
"Yun, we know that you’re the best! Don’t compete with us!"
"That’s right, let me be the best amongst the boys this time!"
"True!"
"Ahhh!"
One way or another, the afternoon passed by with the children still clamoring with each other. After it was done, they all went back to their respective houses.
Well, except for Leon and Aya.
Leon crossed his arms and looked at Silas with the look of, ’I won’t leave if you don’t explain to me.’
He didn’t want to know nothing, so he could only pester Silas.
Silas saw Leon’s look and sighed. "You can ask your father. He knows everything and I can’t tell you more than what your father told you."
"Why?"
"Because it’s still too early for you."
"I’m 12 years old!" Leon protested. He had his birthday not long ago and already turned 12 years old! For him, this age was not that young anymore.
However, Silas was firm and refused to tell Leon anything.
Leon could only give up and left.
After that, Silas turned to look at Aya and sighed. "You’re not planning to ask me about what happened in the past few days, right?"
"No." Aya shook her head.
She could guess what happened to Silas without him telling her. What she wanted to do was something else that was different.
Swish!
With a swift movement, Aya was already beside Silas and grabbed his left hand. She rolled his long sleeve and showed his left arm, which was covered in dark marks. These marks looked like tattoos but at the same time, they were emitting terrifying marks.
Curse marks.
These are the curse marks.
Another type of magic that was a branch of the dark magic but with a completely different application from the shadow magic. A curse magic was a type of magic that could last for a long time and various types of spells were sealed inside the curse marks that will affect those who were cast this.
And looking at the dense runes in front of her, Aya knew that there were at least 10 different suppression and supervision magic sealed into Silas’s hand. Once he used magic with his left hand, it would also activate these runes and let them know what he was doing.
"Don’t look at it." Silas tried to pull his sleeve back to cover up the marks, but Aya didn’t let go. "How did you find this?"
The magic fluctuation from the curse marks were very low and usually would not be found unless one was more powerful or more sensitive.
The White Family was not exactly known to be a sensory type of magic warrior.
They shouldn’t be able to do this.
Aya didn’t answer and silently took out a bottle from her storage scroll and poured the content on Silas’s arm.
*mhh*
Silas grunted and frowned as he looked at the runes on his arms fading and along with the pain in his arm, the restriction that had been hindering his mana on his left hand slowly subsided.
A magic warrior could use both of their hands for magic, but to be more effective, one would use both arms.
After all, they would be able to cast magic from their left and right side, which would make them more powerful and able to cope up with various situations.
The restriction magic on Silas’s arm had effectively lowered his combat ability.
And if the one who casted the curse marks activated it, there was a high chance that he could make Silas’s entire arm crippled.
Having a curse marks pasted on one’s body was the same as letting a weakness on their body.
"A magic warrior’s body is very important and any strange marks that could interfere with one’s mana should not be made," Aya said slowly. She looked at Silas in front of her and said, "Teacher Silas should know this better than anyone."
