Chapter 938: Section 616: Return (1)_2

In this era, Malin didn’t know what his future would be like, but seeing his daughter named Nuoqi, Malin still reached out to embrace her: "Let’s go, we’re going home to see your mother, how about that."

Then, holding his daughter, Malin opened a teleportation portal and took the child back to the Mage Tower where Rewo was.

In the tower, there was only a little girl. When she saw Malin, she stuttered her smile, but somehow managed to tell him that Rewo was upstairs. After leaving the hall, Nuoqi mentioned she recognized the girl. In her own time, she was called Aunt Misha and was her mother’s assistant.

Malin nodded—indeed the girl was called Misha, it seemed his daughter really was from his own timeline.

With this thought, Malin saw Rewo, and this silly girl, seeing the child in Malin’s arms, huffed at first: "You, isn’t having us sisters enough for you?"

Malin rolled his eyes—your dense gaze really is hopeless: "Are you even jealous of your own daughter?"

Malin asked this question with a smile, hence Rewo first froze, then turned to look at the girl in Malin’s arms. Nuoqi smiled, signaling to Malin to let her down, and Malin complied.

Thus, their daughter walked up to Rewo, reaching out and embracing her: "Mommy."

"You are..." Domestic Fairies can recognize each other through scent, Rewo sniffed at Nuoqi’s neck, then her smile began to bloom uncontrollably, extending her arms: "Really my daughter, the familiar scent of Malin and me... how did you come here?"

Because Malin had told Rewo the latest stories, she wasn’t too fearful or wary of this daughter who came from the future.

"I came to see Daddy, I wanted to know who Daddy is; I have found him." Nuoqi stated her wish.

An answer that made Rewo cry, Malin watched the mother and daughter embracing and crying, feeling a bit uneasy he moved to the window, though he didn’t smoke—just wanting to forever remember this reunion in his own mind.

When Rewo and Nuoqi were no longer sad, they turned to look at Malin. As a mother, Rewo beckoned, and so Malin walked over, one arm around each of them in an embrace.

"This child has found you, she has learned the secret that belongs to you, and maybe she will soon return to her own timeline. Let’s make her a lunch meal, this may be the only thing we can do for her, in a Domestic Fairy family, for a family to sit together for a meal, is the most natural thing in the world."

Malin nodded emphatically: "My daughter, I will make a delicious meal with your mother, just say what you’d like to eat."

Rewo was right, and not just Domestic Fairies would think so, he thought the same.

"Anything is fine, as long as it’s not those synthesized nutrient pastes." The child’s response made Malin feel even more remorse.

......

In order to prepare a sumptuous and delicious lunch for his daughter, Malin could be said to have pulled out all the stops for the first time; Domestic Fairies liked a variety of thick soups, and as Half-bloods, Rewo and Nuoqi also enjoyed grilled meats with sauces.

Malin prepared four dishes and two soups for the small family of three.

Sweet sauce grilled meat, fried chicken breast, pepper steak, creamy lobster with meat sauce, mushroom soup, and carrot and pork sliver soup.

Rewo ate a little, soon putting down her knife and fork, and sat at the small table watching Malin and Nuoqi devour their food.

Until the end, when Malin fed the last piece of chicken breast to Nuoqi, the little girl happily declared she was full.

Malin asked the young branches to take away the utensils for cleaning, then carried the two little girls to the roof. The weather in Farole was much better than in the North, and spring had sprung. Looking out, the city was brimming with life.

"So this is Rongma, I’ve never been here, and now I’ve finally seen it." Nuoqi, sitting in Malin’s arms, looked down at the city beneath the tower.

"My daughter, in your time, the entire human world should be getting better and better." Malin said while looking at the city before him.

"Yes, that should be right." Nuoqi sighed. Her little head started to droop, as if tired, or perhaps her time was coming to an end.

Malin put Rewo down and then sat down on a chair beside her, holding their daughter that he had with Rewo. Meanwhile, Rewo reached out to embrace her daughter: "Be careful on the journey of life, my daughter. Maybe your future mom will forget all this, but you must live well. It’s a beautiful world, do not let it down."

"Mhm, goodbye mom." The child smiled and kissed Rewo. But when she turned to look at Malin, the girl finally closed her eyes. In the next second, her body turned to ashes, blown away by the wind from Malin’s embrace.

With a tight grip, Rewo clutched Malin’s fingers: "Our daughter, she has gone back, hasn’t she."

"Yes, she has gone back." Malin smiled and hugged Rewo, comforted her as they went downstairs, and tucked her into bed.

After leaving the Mage Tower, Malin took out a small note from his pocket, which Nuo had stuffed into it before leaving.

It simply read... Dad, to this moment, I still can’t remember your face. When they say your name, I can’t hear it... I dare not tell anyone that I came here and saw you, but in the end, I can’t even remember your name. I’m sorry.

In silence, Malin ignited the note with Spiritual Energy, the father sitting on a bench by the side of the road.

· I thought my daughter would remember what I looked like.

Malin lit a cigarette for himself and meanwhile questioned in his heart.

The Goddess of Fate is truly a very cruel and wretched woman. At this point, Malin found himself increasingly hating the so-called deities that feed on faith, those who never do anything for humanity. If there ever comes a day when he can stand before the Goddess of Fate... Malin swore, he would certainly put an end to all Fate.

He has to enable everyone to have their own unique past and future.

With that thought, Malin took another drag of his cigarette.

And then, he quietly finished smoking the cigarette in his hand.

As he was about to return to the Mage Tower, Malin saw Rewo standing at the entrance of the Mage Tower, the girl just looking at Malin.

Feeling somewhat guilty, Malin stood up and walked over wanting to embrace Rewo.

"What did our daughter write? You look so distraught." Rewo asked Malin this way, her eyes already filled with tears without asking directly.

She wasn’t making any guesses, instead waiting for an answer.

Malin smiled and picked up Rewo: "It’s a love letter our daughter wrote to me."

Malin’s answer couldn’t make Rewo laugh, but the girl didn’t cry either, just clung tightly to Malin’s neck.

"She must have been unable to remember your name, that silly girl, she has already hugged you, why can’t she remember your name even now." Rewo whispered crying.

Malin comforted the girl: "But at the very least, she had the most fulfilling meal of her life. Rewo, think of it this way, among your children so far, Nuo is the only one who has had a meal with me."

Maybe such comfort was too straightforward, or maybe Rewo just didn’t want to hear Malin’s explanations, the girl, tearing Malin’s collar, cried until her makeup was smeared.

After much effort to console her, Malin had to tell the girl a cruel reality: "The makeup is smeared."

"Then will you hate me?" Rewo asked back.

"No, even if it’s smeared, you’re still my Rewo." Malin looked at the girl in front of him and said: "She said she has an older brother ahead, wait until you give birth to this silly boy, and then let’s try again to make this silly girl."

"They are kids, not robots." Rewo’s face turned a bit red.

"But we are the workers who create them." Malin said, patting her back: "Let’s change the world with our hard work."
