Chapter 903: Section 599: Trial (Part 3)

Not bad.

That was Malin’s praise for his offspring, who seemed to have completed the absorption and utilization of the Legendary nano-enhancer, the Disguiser. If it weren’t for Malin’s ability to directly observe the soul fluctuations of everyone, even he wouldn’t have been able to see through what that little Leopard Girl in the red shoes really was.

There was also some melancholy—for such a lovely girl to actually be that guy Mars in disguise; yet she was quite adorable during the fight. Pity it was his own little cub in disguise.

With that thought, Malin took a step back to avoid the slashing dagger, at the same time noticing the twin blood grooves on the blade—a standard weapon from the Eastern human kingdoms. To think that these people were still using these weapons after two thousand years; were the Easterners that impoverished over the millennia?

With such a sigh, Malin took another step back, reached out with his index finger and thumb to catch a bullet flying towards him, and then sent it right back where it came from, hitting the gunner’s head and knocking the ambusher to the ground, revealing flaxen long hair, round ears fluffy with white fur, and a face somewhat similar to Maya’s.

As for that bullet, after it bounced off, it also knocked another Gnome lurking in the shadows to the ground, who clutched his face as teeth flew out from his mouth when he was shaking his head.

This girl... is my offspring.

Done playing.

Thinking that, Malin slapped a Half-human who jumped at him attempting to stab him with a sleeve dagger, pinning him against the wall. Looking at the small Assassin’s Guild insignia on their chests, Malin looked up: "Mars! Get your ass down here!"

Less than ten seconds later, the little Leopard Girl in red shoes came down from the Bell Tower, looking innocently at Malin: "You recognize me?"

This answer was not surprising to Malin, who nodded: "Yes, I do recognize you, since you were six years old."

The little brat was chased for the first time at that age, so when Malin mentioned it, Mars’s face changed color, scratching his head: "All these things you’re mentioning... about that night, you should remember, but were you surprised when the guy chasing you disappeared without a trace?"

As Malin spoke, he turned his head to the Half-human still prepared to stab him. The latter was frozen in place by Spiritual Energy next to Malin, his sleeve dagger mere centimeters from Malin’s head.

"Which Brotherhood are you from?" Malin’s question caught the elf wielding the short sword by surprise: "Who are you, and how do you know the Ancient Elvish language?"

"Ancient Elvish Language, what’s that?" the big chap walking into the alley asked his buddy.

The latter glanced at him annoyed as if to say, oh dear old friend, your identity as Half-blood giant has indeed done great damage to your intelligence.

Meanwhile, Malin noticed Mars’s confusion and disbelief, the latter looking at Malin: "How do you know all this?"

"Because Fate had me see you on that day, child. Let’s not talk about our business just yet; I want to know what’s going on here among you. Why are the Brotherhoods confronting each other?" As he said this, Malin made a gesture on his own chest—a setting he wrote for the Brotherhood in his book.

"They are the lapdogs of the false deities, blindly following those so-called gods that have long perished even after two millennia." The elf girl was the first to kneel before Malin: "Greetings to you, Grand Tutor sir."

"Clover, he’s definitely not the Grand Tutor. No Grand Tutor would ever be as young as he is; he has to be a monster that broke through the Crystal Barrier System!" the Half-human roared.

"You faithless fool, someone who can restrain you this much and catch bullets with bare hands, you still dare to call him a fake? Where do you get your courage from?" retorted the Half-human who was with the big guy.

"Damn, what kind of monster has shown up here?" the gnome with a broken forehead sat up, holding his head: "Enough, Dot, we’re no match for him. He is actually able to chat with us while keeping you in check. Ayla, are you all right?"

He looked towards the Leopard Girl, letting Malin finally know the name of this clumsy girl. Out of care for his own offspring, he reached out, and the silly lass at the back loading her Revolver was dragged towards Malin by the gun, screaming all the way.

Everyone watched as the silly Leopard Girl was dragged in front of Malin.

Mars smacked his forehead while the big guy and the Half-human smiled helplessly.

The old Gnome sighed: "What are you waiting for, Dot? Waiting for this Legendary sir to lose his patience?"

The struggling Half-human eventually stepped back. It was only then he realized that he actually could move, and this revelation made him move aside: "Greetings to your hierarchy, Legendary sir."

"Tell me about your Brotherhood, why are you turning blades against each other?"

Malin lifted his hand, and the bricks beneath him transformed into a chair that he sat down on, looking at the old Gnome: "Who among you and the elf is the oldest?"

"Of course, it’s me, sir. I’ve lived nearly two hundred years, though I’m only a lowly Tier 3 with nothing to show for it, but at least I’ve lived longer than this silly elf girl. Your question dates back over seventeen hundred years."
