Chapter 764: Section 520: Scenery of Light (Part 3)
The Thanan girl who walked out of the portal followed behind her father’s envoy, noticing that nearby people were paying attention to her attire, which she somewhat took for granted—not every Thanan could ignore the cold and snow.
As a Thanan wizard, she wore the simple battle robes of a Thanan War Witch, with neither wide sleeves nor a hem dragging on the ground, all replaced by pants that suited her.
Her arms were covered in tattoos, and her porcelain skin did not change with the cold.
"Meng, while Father and the members of the envoy will go to meet His Majesty Manheim of the Northern Kingdom, you’ll go meet your friend, right?" Her father approached.
"Yes, we’ve been in touch, Lulu is in this city. After I find her, I will stay there, and I can’t be bothered with adult affairs." The girl said with a smile.
"Alright, but remember to stay safe. I heard the Tide of the Dead in the Western Human World is coming sooner, and I don’t want my daughter kidnapped by the Chaos Cult."
"Don’t worry, Father."
The father-daughter conversation ended there, and they had already walked out of the portal center with the envoy. When she pushed open the door, the girl frowned: "It’s quite chilly here."
"This is not Farole, do you need to change clothes?" Her father asked.
"No, I have an Endurance Spell." After saying this, the girl cast a spell on herself, which made her feel much better.
She smiled, bid her father goodbye, and then took out a map, looking at the streets on it.
She planned to find Lulu, to see her good friend, but also to lay eyes on Sir Malin Gaiate and see if he really possessed the unparalleled might of legend, that of a being with three heads and six arms.
......
Upon stepping out of the portal, Elsa Quaser saw her Daniel Wallace.
"My dear, you’ve finally arrived." He embraced his nominal lover with the same eagerness as always.
"Yes, I’m here." Elsa said as she hugged her nominal lover and after they exchanged light kisses on each other’s cheeks, they parted.
"Sorry, Copenhagen has been problematic lately, and my uncle didn’t even have the time to feign illness." Daniel said with furrowed brows as he walked Elsa out of the portal center.
"What exactly is going on? I remember that Copenhagen has never had an active subspace area." As Elsa and Daniel walked out of the door and he opened the umbrella, she noticed the Thanan girl standing nearby.
"She’s wearing so little." The brother commented.
"She’s really quite tall." That was the sister’s viewpoint.
Then the siblings exchanged a glance, and with an unspoken smile, they took to the street. A carriage stopped next to them, and Daniel helped his sister into the carriage first before he folded the umbrella and entered as well.
"Why are you still the Crown Prince, when your uncle’s young son is already of age?" Elsa expressed her confusion about the succession to the throne in the Northern Kingdom.
In her opinion, it was legally tenable for a member of the royal family to be established as Crown Prince when there was no heir to the King, but with the King’s young son now six years old, it was a mystery why Daniel remained the Crown Prince.
"Here’s a new piece of information I overheard, they said I was born in the Purple Chamber, and my unfortunate brother was not." Daniel replied, "I’ve been carefully searching for a room called the Purple Chamber, but I’m sure, aside from the fifth and sixth floors where my uncle stays that I haven’t been to, there’s no place called the Purple Chamber on the other four floors or the two underground."
Elsa glanced at her brother, "Born in the Purple Chamber, what does that mean? Can that room give you an advantage stronger than bloodline, enough for your uncle to choose you as the next king instead of his son?"
"I’m just as puzzled, but I believe that if we can find this place, we will definitely solve the mystery of our origins." Daniel caught his breath, "By the way, the Thanan envoy arrived today, and that young lady must be with the envoy. My dear sister, for my sake, please don’t harm her."
"Am I that indiscriminate?" Elsa looked at her brother with a face full of righteous indignation.
"I believe we have differing viewpoints on being indiscriminate, but I do feel, sister, that you are indeed a very thirsty person." Daniel nodded solemnly, looking at his sister, "Also, Miss Lulu is here, but she is already Sir Malin Gaiate’s betrothed. On any account, don’t provoke her. I don’t want to deal with the jigsaw puzzle of picking my sister up from the ground and putting her back together again."
"Daniel, my brother, I am very saddened. In your eyes, is your sister really so preposterous?" Elsa held her heart, a look of sorrow on her face.
"Yes, sister, ever since you flirted with my little maid the first time you saw me, I’ve understood what kind of person you are." Daniel leaned against the carriage door, his right hand propping his cheek, his face full of reminiscence.
"Shut up, you toad!" The infuriated sister unleashed the Romanticism Ninth Level Physical Technique—Waist Meat Flip Kill.
"Ugh ahhhh!!" The brother’s agonized screams echoed within the carriage, silenced by the Soundproof Spell.
