Chapter 679: Section 472: New Future (Part 3)_2

&"You bring all the action personnel with you," the Sect Hierarch said, pulling out a firearm from beneath her robe and handing it over to Casaman with the handle facing him.

Casaman took the firearm and turned, leading the action personnel towards the basement.

Watching them descend the stairs, Hills looked at the Sect Hierarch, "Your Excellency, what do you think?"

"Casaman is indeed trustworthy. If he were a mole, we would already be in the Farolians’ dungeons by now," the Sect Hierarch replied, getting up and heading to the basement with three high-ranking individuals who lacked combat abilities.

"Of course, Your Wisdom," Hills said, watching everyone leave. He then exited the room, closing the main gate behind him.

The Rongma gentleman walked through the autumn breeze and at the crossroads, he jumped onto a carriage that had stopped before him.

In the carriage, a young girl sat unsmiling.

"Your Highness, the fish have taken the bait. How shall we explain this to Lord Malin?"

"There’s no need to tell him. A Prince is best remaining a prince and not meddling too much in public safety matters. My royal brother is too kind to him," Princess Mowish glanced at her subordinate before leaning back in her seat, "When it’s time to pull the net, those people led by Casaman are bound to be cleaned out. Their crimes ensure their certain death. As for Casaman, his good fortune will continue. He will take a few small fish and escape from the transfer center’s trap before meeting with that waste of a Sect Hierarch and fleeing Rongma."

"Yes, Your Highness," Hills Lawrence, a special agent from the Sydney Public Security Bureau, bowed his head.

While Clovis and Rewo were calculating Larraya’s Sequence, Malin sat to one side, watching his lovers chatting with Miss Four-Leaf Clover. Anyone could smell the sour stench of their affair—even a blind man could sniff it out, and Nova saw right through the elf girl’s problem—she was pregnant.

So, she received better treatment. Malin, lacking emotional intelligence, was sent away while Nova, with her wisdom, tried everything to cheer the elf girl up.

As they said, if any other girl had walked a path of fear with Larraya, she might have gone mad long ago. Hence, seeing such a girl with a remarkably sturdy mentality, they were extremely fond of her. The so-called match made in heaven was practically personified by these two.

Bored, Malin decided to check on the Bunny Girl and the Domestic Fairy’s calculations, noticing that Larraya had stepped down from the testing platform and was staring blankly at the alchemy equipment on the table.

According to the boy, he had suddenly acquired his Transcendent Sequence very abruptly, without any forewarning.

Malin thus approached Clovis to hear an expert’s opinion.

&"Can you believe it, Larraya has absolutely no Spell Talent. I’ve calculated his talent; the highest score is strength, a mere three," Bunny Girl said nonchalantly, her attention on a potion bottle boiling before her without turning back.

&"His Spell Formation is more like a Transcendent ability, not ignited by Spiritual Energy, because he lacks the talent for Spiritual Energy as well. Thus, this Transcendent ability uses something that can substitute for Spiritual Energy—life force," Rewo explained, turning to look at Larraya, "I’m very sorry, Larraya, we’ve uncovered a very harsh truth about you. Even if you stop using your power from today onwards, it’s unlikely you’ll live past thirty."

&"Does Four-Leaf Clover know?" Larraya asked, his face etched with sorrow.

&"She doesn’t know. She and my lovers are chatting in the hall," Malin replied.

&"...I’ll tell her when the time comes," Larraya said, the struggle evident on his face, yet the young man spoke of his inner sorrow with a fearless smile, "I...I can no longer accompany her through life, perhaps it’s time for me to leave her."

&"Here, drink this potion; let us see what’s truly special about your Sequence," Clovis handed over the freshly-made potion to Larraya.

The young man drank the potion, and a six-pointed star soon appeared on his chest.

&"The Supreme Sequence, no wonder, no wonder you possess all this..." Clovis’s eyes widened in surprise.

&"What’s going on?" Malin asked curiously.

&"The Supreme Sequence can ascend to the highest level. It’s the only one of its kind. Larraya is probably at stage three or four now, and he’s already very powerful. He can even morph his body, altering his physiological age and gender."

&"Gender?" Malin looked at Larraya in surprise.

&"Yes, sometimes I have to do it. Mostly, it’s used when Four-Leaf Clover and I need to evade capture. A human girl and an elf girl is the safest combo," Larraya’s response made Malin nod in agreement.

Indeed, just as he said, when a person can even fake their gender, not even the greatest detective could find them—because everything about them has vanished: height, weight, shape, gender, everything but their DNA.

But when Malin learned that Larraya could freely change even his eye color, teeth size, nails, skin tone, he had no confidence left that DNA could help Detective find Larraya at all.
