Chapter 511: Chapter 347: So Small (Part 1)
Malin had already decided, if there wasn’t an answer within three minutes, he would truly cleave the guy before him alive.
Yet, it hadn’t even been thirty seconds before their chief crawled out from the portal, and with an outstretched hand, delivered a slap to the kid, then came before Malin, "I apologize, your excellency, my subordinates have not heard of your renown, please forgive them by all means."
Upon hearing those words, what anger could Malin hold? Such a giant character was so humble, and although being a giant he didn’t smack the young man to death with an ear slap, considering he was facing another giant, Malin decided to turn a blind eye and just deal with it.
You can’t really have him actually kill the kid.
"With those words from you, I can forgive your subordinates. Which faction does this child belong to? Tell me," Malin said softly, looking down at the child.
The Bishop from the Church of the God of Justice, who had poked his head out of the portal, saw that the situation seemed under control and then withdrew again.
The chief, Mr. Chief, drew out a handkerchief, something big enough to serve as Malin’s bath towel, and wiped the sweat from his face, appearing somewhat comical, "This is... somewhat troublesome."
"What trouble?" Malin prodded the head with the tip of his foot, "Written in Sydney script, very neat, not misspelled... do you understand Sydney language?"
"I understand it, Mr. Malin."
"Then how long do you intend to deceive me, a foreigner?"
The other remained silent, merely wiping away sweat beads in silence.
Malin sighed deeply, "Mr. Chief, I know you don’t have time to travel to Sydney and that you are renowned in the City of Galicano, but have you ever considered that me, a foreigner, was asking these kids to grab some trivial information for me? I was going to pay them; I knew he was from a faction, but I thought as a distinguished person, it’s only normal to spend a little money to have them do a bit for me."
Having said that, Malin squatted down, smoothed the wide-open eyelids of the child with his hand, and then grabbed his arm to fiercely slap it across Mr. Chief’s face.
"Mr. Chief, what did I do to deserve such disrespect from such a faction?"
"I know, your Excellency, please calm your anger, I can’t speak of it," the giant trembled, but still did not answer Malin’s question.
"I am now giving you two choices: one, tell who it is that makes you so fearful. Two, in two minutes, your bastard in The Capital will have his head in my hands."
Having finished speaking, a blank journal arrived in front of its master, and with pen and paper in harmony, they completed the writing of a note, which Milani then carried into the small portal.
"You have one minute and fifty seconds left, sir, I am waiting for your answer." Malin finished speaking, then struck his face again with his arm, "Beneath your feet lies a child who has been executed by his faction, yet instead of finding his killer, you stand here fearing the faction, Mr. Chief. I am very angry, do you understand? I have never suffered such an insult. A faction that could even give you the courage to confront me."
Right then, a small portal opened, and a tiny skeletal dog ran out, glanced around, then dropped the note, and was about to leave when Malin called it back.
"Ails, have you got a moment?"
"I am a dog now," the portal expanded a bit, and Ails poked out a small part of his head.
Malin chuckled twice, "How can I summon the Holy Legion from the Semi-Plane?"
"You are considering joining us?" Ails’ head emerged a bit more, then looked around, "Why is it that every time I can run into a local legend of yours?"
"One minute left, speak faster."
"Have your World Tree Sapling open a portal, they will heed your call, but I must say, after all this is the realm of living beings, why don’t you seek Nameless..." "Not all who live on this earth are human, and those wielding the Blade of Judgment need not necessarily be human either."
Finished speaking, Malin waved his hand, and the letter automatically flew before him, taking a glance at it.
"You got a new home?"
"Yeah, I gave you my old home, so I went to ask an old friend to let me stay a few days. Such a pity, he was unfortunately sacrificed in the recent action, so now I have a new home. Visit when you’re free." Having said that, he dove into the portal with his little dog.
"Anything else you wish to say?" Malin looked at the giant.
The latter had soaked his shirt with sweat but still shook his head.
"I am truly curious. When I find the killer, I will be sure to recount your deeds to him, how very loyal you are to him." Malin laughed, picking up the combination of Fio and Blood Roar.
A portal opened beside him, and a squad of guards from the Church of the War God pushed out a young man.
"Your Excellency, the person you requested is here." The guards finished speaking, then retreated silently back into the portal.
"Child, your name," Malin looked at the young man.
"Darwin, Darwin Hilo," the child said.
"Welcome back, this is your execution ground," Malin said with a smile, and before the young man could react, the World Tree Saplings dragged him to Malin’s feet.
"Please, he is just a child!" the giant cried out tremblingly.
