Chapter 183: Chapter 137: Boiling Point (IX)
```
"Damn it! Chaos has come this way too!" Following the Apprentice of Pamir’s warning, Faye had to rise and charge to the second floor overlooking the street with her companions. Some Apprentices holding guns stayed on the second floor, while Faye and Maya ascended to the third, where there was a semi-open window. From here, the girls could have a panoramic view of the street: "There’s Chaos on the east side of the street too, coming out of the alleyways from the south, at least forty people!"
Maya leaned down and communicated with another Apprentice girl, who was also a little leopard, using sign language.
"Chaos is appearing on the east side of the street, emerging from the southern alleyways, at least forty people!"
"People are coming from both sides! Damn it! Let’s head downstairs!" The male Apprentices on the second floor rose from behind cover and rushed down the stairs to join the ranks of the defense guards.
"Wait! Don’t open the door!" Jessica on the second floor saw a different situation and shouted loudly, "The two groups of Chaos don’t seem to be the same batch!"
"Right! The ones coming from the southeast have cysts on them! The ones from the west don’t!" Another half-elf Apprentice, who had night vision, yelled out.
Then, before the eyes of the Apprentices on the second floor, those Chaotic beings did not care for the enemies inside the church and instead collided very affectionately into everything.
"It seems there’s nothing for us to do until they sort out the winners and losers," said the Assistant Priest who had come upstairs, shaking his head after a glance at the brawling Chaos on the street, "These lunatics."
"Thank goodness they are lunatics," a quiet voice among the Apprentices said.
"The ones on the third floor are saying more Chaos is showing up!" the little leopard Apprentice shouted.
What was displayed before all the Apprentices and the Assistant Priest was an entire street turned into a frolicking sea, where cystic humanoid figures and those resembling madmen slaughtered each other, while reinforcements continuously joined them from behind.
The male Apprentices returned to the second floor, marveling at the battle on the street.
"I always thought Chaos was all on the same side," said a freshman looking at his companion.
"As with our world, the Deities differ, so do the Chaos beings in their worship of different Evil Gods. This knowledge will be taught to you guys in the second grade, fellas," said the Assistant Priest with a clap of his hands. "Boys, continue preparing downstairs, but you can relax a bit. After all, they probably won’t have time for us until the followers of Nagoth and the Mimicking Bird decide the winner."
"Tutor, you mentioned that name!" a second-year student said with a face full of horror.
"Ah, you mean Nagoth? According to our intelligence, this Evil God has been appearing in our world’s history since the second era, and every major plague has been associated with it. It was a very dangerous Evil God, but ever since the God of Justice appeared, most of Nagoth’s influence on our world has been blocked. Think about it, since the arrival of the God of Justice, has our world seen any large-scale pandemics?"
The Apprentices all shook their heads.
"Right, the plague is no longer a scourge that can sweep across entire nations, so you do not need to worry about mentioning the name Nagoth," the Assistant Priest said with a smile, patting the second-grader’s head. "Of course, it’s also good for you kids not to invoke the names of Evil Gods. Remember, better safe than sorry."
"Assistant Priest sir, I’ve also heard the Bishop mention a name that should not be mentioned," asked an older student.
"Sinspawn, right?" the Assistant Priest made the sign of the Holy Emblem on his chest before he asked.
"Yes, sir."
"Before humanity rids itself of our current way of procreation, it’s a name we can’t avoid. So, just make sure you don’t worship it, remember we are humans, not monsters controlled by desires," said the Assistant Priest before coughing twice. "You little brats remember, whoever is so capable that they summon that one, I will personally snip off that thing of yours."
The boys all covered their groins while the girls laughed uncontrollably.
......
"What’s so funny," Faye rolled her eyes.
"So, Sister Faye, have you done it with your brother?" Maya asked.
"We are gentlemen and ladies, it’s too early for that kind of thing!" Having said that, Faye narrowed her eyes, "Who taught you this?"
She had already decided to take out whoever had taught Maya these things.
If she couldn’t do it, she would find someone who could.
Whoever dared to teach Maya wrong, be prepared to face the deepest malice from her brother and sister!
"The teachers at Carterburg taught it during open class," Maya replied, somewhat surprised. "Didn’t you learn about it three months ago, Sister Faye?"
"I..." Faye thought for a moment, then realized something, "I think I took a day off."
Ah yes, she had not attended class that day because she had gone to see a doctor.
"Sister Faye, were you sick," Maya narrowed her eyes this time.
"Yes, I didn’t rest well and got a cold at that time," Faye raised her eyebrows, then looked out the window, "Tell the others downstairs, more cyst-bearing guys are coming from the east."
"Okay!" Maya switched into serious mode.
Faye frowned and ultimately sighed in her heart.
Everyone can choose their own path, but not who their parents are.
How tragic for someone of the immortal kind.
......
Decapitating the Chaos Prince’s head from his neck took no effort, and with that head, the corpulent believers in the eastern part of the city became like wild dogs with their spines broken, losing their will to fight. They began to flee. But as the Mages confirmed the location of the Array, they covered that area with a Spell Formation. After destroying the Array, all that was left was to clean up the aftermath.
