Chapter 1106: Section 690: Wish (Part Three)
The girl opened her eyes, looking up at the sky. The spiral arms of the Milky Way stretched across the heavens, and ominous stars flickered in the deep night sky.
An elderly woman sat beside her, knitting a sweater in the chilly yard, where younglings of Wraiths laughed and ran around.
The endpoint of the yarn ball in her hand led to a broken thread, while a burning and shortening thread pointed westward in the distance.
"Fate has shown the King an extraordinary future, I wonder what he will do this time."
She handed the yarn ball to the elderly woman beside her, who smiled kindly, "Susu, when is Malin coming back?"
"Soon, Grandma, soon."
As she spoke those last words, the girl sighed with a smile.
Fate isn’t just about being invaded; this elderly woman comes from a world after a nuclear war, where no one truly won, there existed only a world full of scorn and lives whose minds had been destroyed by radiation.
Then Chaos invaded, everything was decimated, leaving only this small world for the girl to have found.
After witnessing so much destruction, the girl had felt discouraged more than once, yet being fate herself, she knew deep down there would always be a glimmer of hope, and that there certainly would be a chance for change to transform this world.
Thus, Malin had ultimately arrived in this world.
Let’s see if you can change everything, such as the King destined to morph into the Great Demon.

Goethe sat in the chair as something called an advertisement played on the screen. Though Goethe couldn’t understand the contents of the screen’s advertisement, the phrase—Big Bird Spin Entertainment Center serves each guest stuck in a spiritual winter, along with something that seemed like a restaurant, made Goethe think of something.
He was hungry.
So, he memorized the address of 1705 Royal Avenue and stood up. Although he had no money in his pockets, looking at this bizarre world, there would undoubtedly be someplace to scrounge some money.
At that thought, he noticed a few clearly thuggish characters approaching on the opposite side of the street, carrying multiple items that seemed to be wallets.
They passed by Goethe, completely indifferent to the sight of a middle-aged man who appeared to have come out of a domestic abuse situation and his eagerness for what they held in their hands.
Watching them walk towards the alley, Goethe stood up, sensing his opportunity had come.
Following them into the alley, Goethe caught them just as they were dividing those paper money — definitely paper money, Goethe thought to himself, while scanning the thugs.
A man in a leather jacket with large earrings on his ears, red hair, probably dyed, a gun holster at his waist.
Another woman wearing a skirt, squatting on the ground, looking as if she wasn’t human at all, with green hair, probably dyed as well, and a face full of freckles.
Shirtless on top, wearing leather pants below, with a metal arm that could handle banknotes like human hands, this man noticed Goethe, so he lifted his head.
Greeting him was Goethe’s big foot. As the money-counting guy dropped to the ground simultaneously, Goethe grabbed the object that sprang from the woman’s chest, unaware of what this long metal thing was but didn’t hinder using it to crack her head open.
Finally, the last thug, his holster had a buckle, thus when Goethe reached him, he was still absorbed in trying to draw his gun.
Ultimately, he was punched in the face and fell to the ground.
Goethe bent down, grabbed the money, and then noticed himself on the bills.
Good gracious, have I become a historical celebrity already?
Goethe sighed while counting the denominations: fifteen pieces with a value of 50, seven pieces of 100, and two pieces of 500.
Not bad.
At this thought, Goethe also took the thug’s waist-gun and flipped open the woman’s damaged top, observing her hollow chest and the gleaming metal within... shaking his head slightly.
When did Machine Souls become so human-like?
Carrying his doubts, Goethe walked out of the alley.
After a short walk, Goethe noticed on the roadside a small clearing where two individuals resembling Thanan people were selling clothes. Looking at his pajamas, Goethe decided to change his attire—at least not to get kicked out by the restaurant’s security.
He turned into the clearing where there were already several customers; this small clothing market seemed self-serve, selling clothes fit for the current season. Goethe quickly chose for himself a light brown checkered shirt, grey bell-bottoms that suited his leg shape, and a pair of sharp-toed leather shoes matching the current Regensburg fashion trend.
Ah, speaking of which, it’s a pity Anna didn’t come, and couldn’t leave her outfit here, otherwise, he would surely show Anna the flashy appearance of her husband.
Checking in the mirror, Goethe took out the money and let the Southerner choose for himself.
The guy spoke a sentence Goethe didn’t understand, could only shake his head.
Unexpectedly, they would say it in Sydney language: "Thank you for your patronage." After speaking, the sun-browned man reached out, pulling a 100-value paper bill from Goethe’s hand.
Only 100 to pay?
Goethe frowned in surprise and then noticed the guy was even giving him some change.
Looking over, there was even ten units of change.
