Chapter 1032: Section 658: The Madness After the Year 2000 (Part 2)_2

Well, excuse me, even though I no longer know Malin... Thinking this, Malin looked at the wallet in his hand. Finding only a few coins inside, the victim had thrown the wallet at the head of the little punk who wanted to play a kidnapping scheme. The punk kept muttering something, and even though Malin could have used a language spell to understand it, he simply couldn’t be bothered.

You all want free benefits without risking your lives—how sickeningly annoying.

With a swift kick, Malin sent the guy sprawling onto the bodies of his accomplices. Turning his head toward the exit of the alleyway, he happened to spot a counterterrorism assault vehicle parked at the street corner.

Counterterrorism assault vehicle?

Malin looked at the small figure leaping off the vehicle. She carried a gun and was examining the situation within the alley alongside her team.

Eventually, she took the communicator from her teammate: "This is the Peru Assault Squad. Someone just reported a robbery along Gandhi Avenue. Did the caller mention whether the robbers were acting alone or as a group?"

The scene froze for a moment, and Malin, along with the other officers, burst into uncontrollable laughter.

After finally getting himself under control, Malin turned around and slapped the laughing middle-aged Fatty to the ground. "Did I give you permission to laugh?"

The atmosphere grew tense again, but the Peru girl simply nodded, then put away the communicator. "The center said it’s suspected abduction. Seems like my perps hit a wall. Sir, you’re free to go."

"Alright, Miss Peru Haus Hagelberry," Malin said, casually smacking the shoulder of the middle-aged man who had just gotten up. Because this guy was their leader, Malin made sure to give him special attention.

The man collapsed again, immediately shrieking, babbling nonsense, and pointing at Malin.

"Hey, you, don’t leave, hold up," Malin’s little Peru called out.

Since it was the girl speaking, Malin paused, turning to watch her approach. He noted her outfit—oddly unchanged from the first time he’d met her nearly a decade ago. Thinking about it, that must have been ten years past, and now this girl was roughly... uh, better not dwell on a woman’s age—especially when nature has already done its best in certain areas.

Don’t expose what’s obvious.

"Officer! He hit me!" The burly man sat up, activating a small device on his neck. To Malin’s surprise, the man started speaking in Thainan.

Malin stuffed his hands in his pockets, ready to enjoy the drama as if it were his own entertainment.

Meanwhile, he committed the guy’s face to memory—As long as I’m still here, you’ll never have a decent day again.

Then Malin saw his descendant smash the butt of her gun into the man’s head, flooring him once more, before she began pounding him with the gun stock. Her teammates unsurprisingly began dispersing the onlookers.

Once she’d had enough of bludgeoning, she signaled for her team to drag the middle-aged man up. Drawing the pistol holstered at her waist, she single-handedly pulled the slide to check the ammunition chamber, flipped off the safety, and pressed the barrel against the man’s forehead. "I’ve been working here three months, and all three times I’ve encountered you, it’s suspected abduction. Every time, you’ve managed to slip out of the cage. Looks like your ties at the prison are pretty solid. How much money have you and your master given those Ah San?"

The bruised and battered middle-aged man remained silent.

"Peru Haus Hagelberry." Concerned about his child’s interrogation methods, Malin spoke up.

"That’s right—and you, why do you know my name?" The man’s forehead was smashed open with the pistol grip as she turned her gaze to Malin.

"Call me Moriarty, Professor Moriarty." Malin introduced himself.

The girl froze for a moment, then chuckled. "Don’t use names from novels; I’ve read the Sherlock Holmes series too."

Malin also smiled and then stated his actual name.

The girl raised an eyebrow. "Did you just say something?"

Malin repeated his name.

This time, the girl lifted her semi-covered helmet, her strikingly beautiful eyes glaring at Malin. "You said your name—I’ve got the microphone to record it, yet I can’t hear it, nor did it record your voice." She paused before turning back around and delivering another slap to the middle-aged guy, knocking him to the ground. Using Spiritual Energy, she dragged the man upright. "If you can make this damn guy spill who his master is, then I’ll be sure who you really are."

Malin nodded, then directed his gaze to the middle-aged man. "Who’s your master?"

"Kaan Wood Spencer," the man replied without hesitation.

It was Malin’s second time hearing the name. The Spencer family’s little devil showed promise—had the vibes of a villainous Big Boss written all over him.

Malin sat on a chair formed by cobbled bricks and gestured for the Peru girl to sit as well.

The girl also sat down, her gaze fixed on Malin’s face. Finally, she sighed. "It really is you. You’ve heard of Kaan Wood Spencer, right?"

"Yes, I first heard that name from another child. Mind telling me how he got here from New Hangzhou?" Malin raised his hand with a smile, casting a spell formation that enveloped the alley with soundproofing.

"He was discreetly demoted and sent here. The Union Police didn’t want a stained figure working in New Hangzhou, so he was tossed over here." Malin’s charming descendant, Miss Peru, answered accordingly.
