"Xing Ye, don’t worry," He Zhilan said as she noticed Xing Ye nervously clenching his fists. "We haven’t heard Bian Xiulin’s voice yet, plus, after coming to S Province she’s been well-fed and had regular check-ups. She’ll definitely give birth to your twins without any issues."

However, contradicting her words, as soon as she finished speaking, a pig-shrieking-like scream from Bian Xiulin could be heard from inside demanding Xing Ye to ’take back his seed’. It was so funny that the relatives of other pregnant women outside the delivery room couldn’t help but laugh.

Even He Zhilan couldn’t help but chuckle at this. Looking at a stunned Xing Ye, she laughed and said, "See? She’s full of vitality, scolding you energetically. Everything is fine!"

Then, leaning towards He Teng, she teased, "Brother, rest assured, I’ll never be like this when I give birth!"

At this, He Teng’s mouth twitched slightly. He lowered his gaze and looked at Zhilan who was laughing without any trace of shyness. He Teng sighed helplessly in his heart. However, thinking about Zhilan’s petite frame, he figured she would probably have a hard time giving birth in the future.

Despite being pregnant with twins, Bian Xiulin managed to give birth smoothly. She entered the delivery room in the afternoon and was out by two in the morning. Their twin babies were a boy and a girl. Xing Ye was ecstatic.

After being pushed out of the delivery room, Bian Xiulin took a quick look at their children and fell asleep. Only after learning from the doctor that everything had gone smoothly did he finally take a look at his two babies.

Seeing Xing Ye’s radiant expression while carefully holding their babies, He Zhilan felt a hint of envy. With no place needing their help in the hospital and knowing that both the children and adults were doing well, she and He Teng left the hospital and returned home.

Both of them hadn’t had dinner and by the time they got home, it was late. Zhilan heated up some cold food from lunch. After they had eaten something dulled by fatigue, they didn’t even bother to take a shower before they collapsed into bed and fell asleep.

Early the next morning, they both went to the hospital to see Bian Xiulin and the babies. After they returned home, He Teng asked Zhilan to pack up and get ready to take a train back to the capital the next day. This time, they had sleeping berths available so at least Zhilan wouldn’t have to curl up in He Teng’s arms for the entire journey.

They were taking a direct train to the capital’s train station. When they got off, He Teng saw Lin Chan waiting at the station. He asked Lin Chan to take Zhilan back to school while he immediately bought a ticket back to the military base. He got on the train without even eating, clearly in a hurry to report back to the base.
