"How was your trip to M Country?" After returning home, He Zhilan had only called to check in. He Teng, being busy, hadn’t had time to ask more, and Zhilan herself was too occupied with studies for long conversations. Therefore, it was only today that He Teng found the time to show more concern.

"It went very well! The manor owner is very kind." After a pause, He Zhilan added, "But there’s an interesting coincidence, I met the daughter of the Gu Family’s patriarch, Miss Gu Ran, at the manor."

After mentioning this, He Zhilan quickly shifted the topic, saying, "Brother, I plan on going to S Province to meet Xing Ye in a while. I’ve sorted everything out with the manor. After scouting out S Province, if conditions permit, I plan to take out a loan from the bank and start a venture there. I want to establish my own plantation and production base, and create my own brand."

"What about your studies?" He Teng was primarily concerned about He Zhilan’s education, "Managing both, along with your studies... not to mention the impact on your studies, will your health be able to cope?"

"Don’t worry, my trip to S Province will only take some time; it won’t be too long. Once the initial reconnaissance is over, Xing Ye should be able to help me handle the remaining matters. Then, I’ll open a store in the capital, sourcing supplies temporarily from Orz. I’ll use this time to get the initial promotional work done. As for my studies, I’ll work hard. I know that my focus should be on studying and I won’t let it get affected. Believe it or not, as long as I work hard enough, I’ll be able to show you a scholarship award this semester."

"Really?" He Teng responded in a flat tone. He was skeptical about He Zhilan’s boast. He would have believed her in the past, but He Zhilan’s schedule this semester seemed quite busy. Barely back from M Country, she was planning to go to S Province. Considering that a trip to S Province wouldn’t just be a week-long affair, could she really promise a scholarship after missing so much study time?

"How about we bet? If I secure a scholarship, we reconcile before the new year. Brother, dare you bet with me?" He Zhilan coaxed.

He Teng glanced at He Zhilan, "Your studies are your own concern." He then left He Zhilan at the guest house to rest and departed.

"Haha!" He Zhilan softly laughed, watching He Teng’s departing figure. Was he running away, worried that she would try to seduce him as she had that night?

Truthfully, that was precisely what He Zhilan had in mind, but He Teng wouldn’t give her the opportunity.

During her two days at the military camp, He Zhilan had heard that there were plans to construct new housing for families, apparently high-rise apartment-style dwellings.

As long as one met the criteria, they would get their own separate apartment. Upon hearing this, He Zhilan was excited. If He Teng got a house, she would be able to live with him during her visits to the military camp and wouldn’t have to stay at the guest house anymore!

And once she graduated and reconciled with He Teng, the living conditions as a military spouse would significantly improve.

After leaving the military camp, He Zhilan made a special trip to the Military Medical University to visit He Dongxue. From Dongxue’s dark circles under her eyes, it was clear that she had been studying extremely hard. Seeing this, He Zhilan felt pity for Dongxue. If they had known that studying medicine would be this difficult, they should have encouraged her to go to a regular university instead.
