He Zhilan responded with a faint smile and let Lin Chan chatter away before she returned to the dorm, showing no signs of impatience.

She had only been away for two days, but it felt like an eternity. Had it not been for Lin Chan, He Zhilan might have lost her life right there and then.

"Zhilan is back!" Seeing He Zhilan, all four roommates rushed towards her, exclaiming, "We missed you terribly!"

"I’m back!" said He Zhilan softly. She was filled with emotion seeing the joy on the faces of the other girls at her return, and responded with a light smile.

"Yes! You’re finally back! Jiang Biyun and Chen Xiting would have been crying all day long in your absence!" said Huang Cai. Though she didn’t mention her own worry, the concern was written all over her face.

Walking into the dorm, He Zhilan found every item belonging to Gu En unbearable to look at.

"Zhilan, what are you doing?" asked Jiang Biyun. While she was still celebrating He Zhilan’s safe return, He Zhilan walked straight into the dorm, headed to Gu En’s desk, and cleared it of all items.

All of Gu En’s books, cosmetics, small decorative items ended up filling the small rubbish bin.

Unsatisfied, He Zhilan picked up one of Gu En’s books, ripped it in half, and tossed it into the rubbish bin.

Then, glancing at the items on Gu En’s bed, He Zhilan snorted coldly, grabbed a large bag, dumped all Gu En’s items into it, and left the dorm without looking back. She dragged the bag all the way to the large rubbish bin outside the female dormitory building and dumped everything inside.

The fact that she emptied out all of Gu En’s belongings from the dorm in just a few trips left her roommates bemused.

"Finally, the dorm is clean! Just looking at Gu En’s stuff made me feel dirty!" After a quick spin around the room, where there was now no sign of anything belonging to Gu En, He Zhilan felt a sense of relief. Turning to Jiang Biyun she said, "Call Lin Deng. Tell him to inform the Gu family that Gu En’s things have been thrown in the rubbish bin outside the dormitory building. If the Gu family can’t bear to part with these things, they can come and collect them."

"Zhilan is so brave~"

"So domineering."

"So cool."

"So satisfying."

Each comment from the four roommates seemed perfectly timed.

"But can we really do this? Won’t Gu En freak out when she finds out?" Huang Cai was a little worried.

Shaking her head confidently, He Zhilan said, "She won’t be back, at least not to this dorm."

He Zhilan was convinced that the Gu family would not allow Gu En to continue staying in the same dorm as her, effectively living with an enemy.

Perhaps the school didn’t know about Gu En’s attempt to poison He Zhilan, but Huang Cai and Wang Bingbing, who lived in the same dorm, knew everything. To be honest, the thought of living with a murderer scared them both. When He Zhilan assured them that Gu En wouldn’t return, they were relieved.

"Didn’t you drop the charges?" asked Jiang Biyun, who knew He Zhilan had dropped the charges against Gu En because of Lin Deng, before the others in the dorm.

"I did drop the charges, but that doesn’t mean Gu En won’t go to jail. Some people, who do too many bad things, can’t change their fate even if given a chance." Shaking her head, He Zhilan suggested everyone take a nap. She still had her medical leave to rest for a couple more days as advised by the doctor, so she wouldn’t be attending classes for a while. But Jiang Biyun and the others still had afternoon classes.
