"After the divorce, can I still be the He family’s daughter? Can I still be your sister?" She asked softly, biting her lip.

Regarding her question, He Teng nodded, "Yes, just like Dongxue."

"Thank you, brother." She thanked him for not casting her out of the He family, allowing her to lose her faith without losing her last harbor, giving her a place to stop when she had nowhere else to go, and letting her know that she was not completely lost, at least, she still had the He family.

"After we divorce, you are still Zhilan. You are still the He family’s daughter and father’s pride. In the future, at school..." He Teng subconsciously wanted to tell her to behave, but instead, he corrected himself sternly, "Take care of yourself and study well. Do not revert back to your old self and cause trouble for the He family again. Father is old and can’t handle any more stress."

She nodded silently, unable to blame He Teng for not believing in her change because she never complied with his words or reassured him while relentlessly searching for her family through any means necessary.
