Starforce Warriors
Chapter 622: Too Weak

Chapter 622: Too Weak

"If you're so bored of living, then just die," laughed Li Xiaofei as he finally unleashed his ruthless killing intent.

A bunch of nobodies trying to act tough in front of me? Ridiculous.

A casual gesture sent a blade aura slashing through the void.

Shing!

It was unclear what he had just cut apart, but—

Boom!

The air trembled with an explosive shockwave as fragments of metallic debris rained down from above.

"Let's go." Li Xiaofei gripped his ice blade as he rose on his sword. He lifted Liu Diqiu and her sister into the sky as they charged toward the upper levels of the Tower of Gods.

Take the stairs? Not a chance. He was going to carve his own path straight through this tower.

The Tower of Gods' defense systems activated as a barrage of energy projectiles rained down from above. Countless Governors descended like a relentless tide, determined to halt the intruders. But that single, unstoppable blade light shattered everything into nothingness.

Boom!

The Tower of Gods was split open by a single slash as Li Xiaofei soared upward. Shouts of alarm echoed from the summit.

Liu Diqiu barely had time to register what had happened. In the blink of an eye, she found herself standing atop the Tower of Gods

A massive platform stretched before her as three towering figures, their bodies radiating intense light, stood across from them. The Three God Warriors seemed to have foregone their usual awe-inspiring brilliance for a rather disheveled appearance. Shock was written all over their otherwise human-like faces.

The Sun God, the Moon God and the Thunder God were considered invincible within Great Xia, since they wielded a power beyond Earth itself. Yet at this moment, they stood huddled together like frightened quails, trembling in unison.

"Who... Who are you?" The Sun God finally broke the silence, his voice filled with disbelief.

Clad in golden armor that was far superior to the chainmail worn by the Governors, he radiated divine brilliance like a blazing sun. His overwhelming energy surged outward as he spoke.

"Not telling you," replied Li Xiaofei.

He struck with a single motion, unleashing his Naihe Bridge technique.

Its lethal intent manifested on the mortal realm once more. Blade light flashed through the air, and the Sun God stood frozen like a lifeless statue—his body and head already separated.

"What?!" The Moon God, a golden-haired, blue-eyed woman, gasped in horror. "You dare kill him?! Do you even know—"

"Know your mother." Li Xiaofei slashed again.

It was the same move. One technique was enough to dominate everything before him, sending a head flying into the air. Even the Moon God, who was powerful beyond comprehension, failed to resist in the slightest.

The last remaining God Warrior, the so-called Thunder God, was pale with terror. When he realized how dire the situation had become, he immediately transformed into a bolt of lightning, streaking away at an unimaginable speed. But no matter how fast lightning was, how could he outrun the blade?

Li Xiaofei raised his hand to deliver one final swing. Moments later, a crimson mist erupted in midair, scattering into frozen droplets that rained down upon the platform. Three strikes had felled the three God Warriors like common weeds.

Li Xiaofei shook his head.

Too weak. They weren’t even as strong as the six ancestors of the Xie family. And yet, they dared to call themselves gods?

The peak combat ability of this world is far inferior to the one I came from. Maybe it has something to do with this place being drained dry and on the verge of abandonment? Utterly boring.

Beside him, Liu Diqiu stood in complete shock. Her mind had gone numb. She began to doubt everything she had ever known.

That’s it?

The three God Warriors, the beings she had racked her brain for years trying to counter, the three titanic forces that had loomed over her like mountains, suffocating her every step had just... died?

If she hadn’t seen it with her own eyes, Liu Diqiu would have thought she was dreaming. She had always vaguely suspected that Li Xiaofei was a better partner than Zhang Wannian. She had believed that working with him would greatly improve their chances of success.

But she never expected those chances to actually be one hundred percent. She realized that her trip to the Taibai Mountains was the greatest stroke of luck in her life.

"Hey, you staring off into space?" Li Xiaofei flicked her forehead. "What are you standing around for? Get to work."

"D-Do what?" Liu Diqiu stammered as if waking from a dream.

"Obviously, take control of the Tower of Gods and start setting up the neurotoxin and virus brainwave emitter. Or did you think I was talking about doing me?" Li Xiaofei said impatiently.

"Ah... right." Liu Diqiu instantly snapped back to reality.

She took a look around and immediately noticed that the Tower of Gods had been pierced straight through by Li Xiaofei’s blade. The place was a complete mess.

"How are we even supposed to work with this?" Liu Diqiu muttered. "You practically demolished the tower."

Smack.

Li Xiaofei flicked her forehead again.

"Quit whining. The main structure is still intact. It's your turn to get to work. No excuses—hurry up."

Liu Diqiu clutched her forehead, which was now covered in lumps. She stomped her foot in frustration.

This man is getting more and more out of line! It’s already the second time!

If she weren’t completely outmatched, she would have bitten him—hard—several times by now! Pushing down her frustration, Liu Diqiu reluctantly got to work.

Meanwhile, Li Xiaofei stood at the peak of the Tower of Gods and stared in the direction of the six major manufacturing zones. His senses spread outward as he monitored the ongoing battles.

A relaxed expression gradually formed on his face. Everything was going smoothly. Li Junjie and the others were crushing the enemy without any trouble.

The battles were over in less than twenty minutes. All six major manufacturing zones were now under their control.

Li Xiaofei was feeling a bit bored, so he decided to tease the little dimples girl—Liu Xisheng. But when he turned his head, he was caught off guard.

The little girl stood at the very top of the Tower of Gods, and her tiny white arms had somehow split into hundreds, maybe thousands, of fine thread-like tendrils. They extended downwards through the tower’s gaping hole and reached deep into its core.

I knew it.

Li Xiaofei was startled at first. He had always suspected this little girl wasn't normal. There was a good chance that she wasn’t even human. Now, his suspicions were confirmed. She was a cyborg. But... something about her was different from the Governors.

Unlike them, she felt alive. Her emotions were natural, and her expressions genuine. If not for her abilities, Li Xiaofei would have never suspected she was anything but human.

"I’m helping my sister." Sensing Li Xiaofei’s gaze, the little girl looked up. Her flawless jade-white forehead beaded with tiny, glistening pearls of sweat. "She can’t handle this alone."

Li Xiaofei asked curiously, "You... can control the tower’s AI systems?"

"It’s easy." She flashed a proud dimpled smile. "This kind of triple-layer vertical encryption system? I can break it in ten seconds. Eden was too arrogant to think that no one could ever access the Tower of Gods' central core. This system is no challenge to me."

Damn.

Li Xiaofei gave her a thumbs-up. He had no idea what she just said, but it sounded really impressive!

A few moments later, Liu Diqiu climbed out from inside the tower, her face covered in soot and grime.

"It's done." Liu Diqiu said excitedly. "This city is ours now. All patrol motherships, combat units, and Governors will obey our commands."

Li Xiaofei raised his thumb again.

These two sisters are invaluable assets. I wonder if I can take them back to my world...

Li Junjie, Ye Liuying, and the others returned a few minutes later. Now that the Tower of Gods' central system was now under their control, not only had they taken over the manufacturing plants, but the entire Holy Light Settlement had resumed operations as if nothing had happened.

The ordinary citizens and Extraordinary Ones inside the city remained completely unaware that their home had just changed hands during the chaos.

"Brother Li, what do we do next?" Zhang Zhihong gritted his teeth. "I want to wipe out every last Governor."

"Is that even a question?" Li Junjie's killing intent surged. "We burn this entire settlement to the ground. Every last one of those monsters dies."

Bai Qiqi, Ren Dong, and the four Dragon Maidens all had red-rimmed eyes. They had personally borne witness to the horrific, blood-soaked operations inside the manufacturing plants. Their rage was boiling over.
