Talia checked herself in the big mirror. The ice-blue mermaid-style beaded dress with off-shoulder sleeves and an illusion back fit her perfectly and made her look elegant and glamorous at the same time.

Her stylist put her hair in a fancy bun and used hair vines fixed with diamonds. And she went for a little glamorous makeup. She was glittering from top to bottom and still, she looked great.

Fred is so lucky to have me as his wife – Talia thought.

"Close your eyes and give me your hand, beauty!" she heard Arthur’s voice from behind her and she got excited.

"Did you bring me a gift?" she turned and her ankles almost got twisted as she tripped on her dress wearing a high-heeled shoe.

"Careful!" Arthur caught her at the right moment.

"Give me!" she held out her hand with a silly smile and Arthur smiled seeing that excited woman.

Then or now... she never changes... Iris is always my Iris!

"Close your eyes first," he said and Talia pouted and scratched his sleeves.

"You look sooo handsome in your suit today, Fred. I hope no one kidnaps you." She grinned ear to ear.

"Close. Your. Eyes."

He knew her praises are just thrown away to catch him off-guard.

"Fine. What a drag!"

With a pout, she closed her eyes and extended her hand. "Give me."

Talia felt Arthur grabbing her hand and he was putting something on her wrists.

A bracelet?

"Open now," he said and Talia opened her eyes to see a beautiful diamond bracelet in a contemporary design glittering on her hand.

"Wow! This looks so great! Thanks, Fred," she hugged him and he pushed her away.

"Careful! Don’t rub your makeup all over me..."

"You’re becoming more and more mean towards me, Fred. Is it because we are married? Do you think there is no need to be nice to me anymore?" she asked and her eyes filled with tears.

Arthur’s heart skipped a beat seeing her holding back her sobs. He tried to hug her to soothe her, but then he saw the little mirth in the corner of her eyes.

"You idiotic Iris! Did you think I’ll fall for your fake tears?" he asked and Talia scrunched up her face and growled at him, making him laugh.

Talia didn’t expect him to be nice to her always. She loved the overgrown boy who liked to banter with her all the time. She knew being only nice and lovey-dovey will get boring pretty soon.

"Wait... You have some foundation on your suit," she helped him wipe it off. He was wearing a black suit and her foundation was pretty glaring. She decided to be careful around him.

"I thought you’d gift me something on our wedding day, but you didn’t," she said and the smile on her lips didn’t even reduce a bit making Arthur smile. He placed a kiss on her forehead. He did buy this to gift her on their wedding night, but since he was too involved in arranging for their honeymoon, he forgot.

I’ve been forgetting a lot lately when it comes to her... Am I slacking off because I know I need not woo her anymore? I can’t do that. I can’t let the fire die.

He decided. Arthur drove to the wedding venue in his convertible. Of course they were surrounded by their protection officers to protect them and to keep their speed in check.

The Wedding brought a lot of income via tourism for Rosandale. Similarly, the reception in Estaria brought a boom in the Esterian economy. The reception was attended by a lot of Jerome Brunton’s friends and associates of the Northern Star.

Since most of Jerome’s friends are billionaires, there was a shortage of parking spaces for private jets. Thankfully, some of them agreed to park their jets in the nearest airstrips and that solved that issue.

"You don’t mind getting lowered from a swing, right? Will the dress you are wearing be comfortable?" Arthur asked on the way and Talia felt her soul leave her body.

"Why would I get lowered from anywhere? Turn back, Fred! I am not going. Are you trying to kill me?" she got stressed and started to rant.

She was told that the reception venue is a set made in a big open ground near the Parliament. But other than that no details were explained to her It all made her stressed.

"Calm down, Iris ... I was just kidding..." He chuckled and Talia pinched his thigh making him scream in pain.

"I was joking, Iris!" he laughed.

The wedding venue was reached and they were brought in through some tunnel and Talia wondered what kind of mess is waiting for her.

They were asked to stand on a rising platform and Talia already got scared.

"It’s okay, Iris..." Arthur leaned to her side and his hand wrapped around her waist. "I’m here. I love you." He kissed her earlobe.

"Love you too," she said looking at his face. And just then she felt all her nervousness melting away.

There was a slight jerk as the platform started to rise and she could hear the voice of a popular pop artist announcing their arrival in the microphone. But her eyes were focused on Arthur with a smile on her face.

Only when she heard the loud cheers and applause, did she look to her front and... she was stunned looking at the set. The singer started singing a very romantic song and Talia couldn’t even focus on it.

He forgot to arrange for our honeymoon for this? Totally worth it!

To her surprise, she did what she told herself not to do – she opened her mouth in surprise and then started fanning herself with her hands like the winner of beauty pageants.

But she was in awe as she looked around. The whole set was designed with an underwater theme. The entire place was filled with purple, blue and teal shade. The tables and chairs were all made of glass. The centerpieces were designed like coral reefs and little glass balls were hanging from them giving the illusion of bubbles floating.

The ceiling was designed magnificently like many fishes, stingrays, and even sharks were swimming around. And Talia noticed jellyfishes were floating around and they were all actually moving.

"Are those 3D holograms?" Talia whispered and Arthur hummed.

As she was speaking a couple of Beluga whales swirled around them making Talia smile wide. And there were schools of fishes swimming in between the tables.

The whole place gave the impression of being underwater without being actually underwater.

Talia remembered talking to Arthur when they were in high school, how she actually likes the underwater. But since she is terrified of water, she can never go snorkelling or diving to actually experience the underwater.

And he made my dreams come true!

"Fred, thank you," she hugged him and he rubbed her back.

"Don’t get emotional Iris. Your eyes will turn to panda eyes with the amount of mascara you’re wearing," he said.

"Dummy!" Talia looked up with a smile. She didn’t feel like crying anymore. She was very happy.
