Chapter 122: - Four Vvip Tickets to the Game-

’Huh?’

At the mention of his name, Max’s eyes darted towards Olivia, then Ivy, who tilted her head his way.

For a moment, everyone at the dining table turned towards him.

Seeming to realize the change her words had caused, Olivia pursed her lips before saying:

"Oh, we planned it. You know it has been a long time since we all played together," she revealed, indicating that Annabelle and Ava were involved.

"That’s thoughtful of you guys, Olivia." After being told it wasn’t Max who planned to hang out with them, Aunt Raven flashed a smile as she turned to Max, peering at him.

"You wouldn’t mind this aunty joining the fun to catch up on the absent years... You can also share your worries and troubles about your girlfriend with me," she added, observing Max’s expression.

However, Olivia bashfully refused.

"No, Aunt Raven. Just like you said, we—the young kids—want to catch fun. We’ve missed our fat cousin so much."

Annabelle and Ava nodded in agreement with Olivia in a totally childish manner.

Not knowing whatever it was that made them smile cheekily, Max lightly furrowed his brows.

He said no words, but his confusion was clear.

’Are they dragging me?’

Grinning at her little niece, Aunt Raven shook her head with a defeated expression.

"Okay, you three win."

"Take it," Ivy was the one who spoke. Dropping the shiny key, she turned and followed after her mother’s departing back.

"Thanks, Aunt Raven. We’ll schedule another time with you," Ava added, leaving her seat behind as she went to pick up the car key Ivy dropped too.

"Wait, are you excluding us?" Daniel, who had been listening, asked with a wronged expression directed at the three girls.

"Are you dumb? Didn’t you just hear there are only four tickets? Besides, last time you, Noah, and Blake took Daisy for one of your chitty matches."

Putting out her middle finger, Olivia revealed her tongue.

"Our circle just completed—find your way somewhere else."

"Huh, Blake, why are you quiet? Scheming something up? Whatever." Throwing her brother a distasteful look, Olivia sneered.

Blake huffed in response and stood up to take his leave.

"I guess I am not needed here either." Forcing out a smile, Daniel dropped the napkin and left.

"Bye, sucker." Annabelle cursed at Daniel’s departing back.

Totally ignoring Noah and Daisy, who seemed concentrated on their phones, they laid their eyes on Max.

"I have four VVIP tickets, Max... so are you coming?"

Finally asking him out to the game, the girls pressed into each other with puffy cheeks and clearly indicating eyes that he couldn’t refuse.

"Okay."

’Not like I have anything to do either.’

Amused by the attention they were giving him, he nodded, his face neutral as he stood up, willing to tag along without any suspicion of what their intentions were.

"Let’s go," Olivia said, shaking her head with a cheeky grin.

Walking under their mother’s watch, the three girls whispered delicately or lightly tapped each other’s backs with him trailing behind until they got into the hallway.

"Front seat’s mine," Olivia declared, cheekily flaunting the key in her hands.

"You always say that," Ava muttered, rolling her eyes but not arguing.

Annabelle quickly disqualified her claim.

"Max is the only guy here, so he takes the wheel. I also want the front seat too. Max, you won’t mind, right?"

Seeing all three attentively turn to him, Max showed a thoughtful look.

However, before he could share his opinion, he was disrupted by Olivia, fearing she would lose.

"Okay, we should all stay at the back instead. I give up." Pinching Annabelle’s arm, she stretched out her hand to give him the Bentley key.

Taking it with a neutral look, he placed it inside his pocket and kept trailing behind them.

Their little laughter and footsteps were the only things that could be heard across the hallway. Soon, they got to the open garage of luxurious vehicles.

Unlike the night before, several black sedans could be spotted, each worth a fortune and probably equipped with the best security.

Pressing the button, the silver Bentley flashed its rear lights before its doors were pulled open.

Sliding into the driver’s seat with little fanfare, Olivia, Annabelle, and Ava squeezed into the back seat, still chatting in low tones.

The engine purred to life.

Driving out of the Riders’ Mansion—

"Aegis Stadium, please." Annabelle giggled, pushing Olivia’s hand from her mouth, only for the three girls to pause.

Seeing him swipe on the GPS map for the aforementioned location, they all seemed to remember he had almost never been to London in his sensible years enough to know any place.

"It’s okay." Noticing their reaction, Max said before resuming to steer the wheel.

"That was so dumb of you, Annabelle." After they all seemed to recover, they quickly cursed Annabelle for suggesting that he should drive.

The ride was a blur—glimpses of Thames-lit roads, red buses gliding past, rain-slick cobblestones.

In the distance, the hazy silhouette of the London Eye turned slowly, like time ticking forward without urgency.

Inside the car, the warmth contrasted with the brisk London chill. The girls’ laughter and murmured teasing filled the silence, while Max kept his focus ahead, the city folding away around them.

**Beep!**

The GPS ticked, signifying that they had arrived at their destination.

It was a smaller, modest stadium tucked on the edge of the city, somewhere near a lesser-known borough. It wasn’t a Premier League match—no crowds spilling onto the pavements, just a few clusters of fans snapping photos or nursing takeaway coffee under the morning sun. It was a holiday, so most of these people were similar youths like them.

"We’re here." It wasn’t Max who announced their arrival but Annabelle, who seemed particularly excited about arriving.

Rolling down the tinted window slightly as a security staff member in a reflective vest approached, Olivia gave Ava the golden tickets, who then handed them to the man. After a polite nod, he waved them through to the VIP parking.

A Bentley sure attracted attention.
