Chapter 92: Culinary Transformation (SSS) And Stabilizing Pulse (SS)

During the past two weeks, in addition to the appearance of special-rank artifacts and king-rank artifacts, Emperor-rank Zombies and Evolvers have evolved naturally.

Of course, such occurrences were still infrequent, especially when the Church of Evolution’s influence had spread throughout the globe.

Aside from completing Main Mission 3, Ainsworth didn’t neglect the two side missions his team currently had.

Because of that, Side Mission: Road To Zombie Overlord (SSS+) was completed a few days ago and even the rewards were already distributed to him, Rian, and Dante.

Ainsworth only took five C+ Stat Crystals as his share but didn’t use them since his stat attributes were above it. On the other hand, Rian and Dante used them and now, none of their stat attributes were below C+.

Both Rian and Dante could now defeat Zombie Emperors and Evolver Emperors and only those at the Overlord-rank could pose a threat to them.

As for the two skill books, these were the skills that Ainsworth had received:

Skill Ability:

(1) Convert any ingredient, material, or even non-food substances into culinary-grade components of similar elemental or spiritual essence.

(2) Transmuted food, once prepared and consumed, grants powerful temporary effects, such as stat boosts, immunity, regeneration, or specialized resistances, scaling with the dish’s quality and the cook’s intent and technique.

(3) Dishes made via Culinary Transmutation can store unique traits of defeated monsters, beasts, or entities and pass them temporarily to allies (e.g. dragon breath, phoenix flame immunity, troll regeneration).

Skill Ability:

(1) Send out a spirit-based pulse in a short radius (10m) that cleanses all allies of minor to moderate debuffs (bleeding, poison, fatigue, curses, etc.).

(2) Also grants a minor heal over time effect for 10 seconds and a brief 2-second immunity to incoming debuffs.

(3) If cast on a single target instead of AoE, the cleanse is stronger and also removes one major status effect (e.g., paralysis, severe burn, or hallucination).

Duration: Instant pulse + HoT (10 sec)

Cooldown: 5 minutes]

Rian and Dante received the SS-rank Skill Book that was suitable for them but they didn’t receive an SSS-rank Skill Book since the side mission only offered one reward for it. Since Ainsworth contributed the most, he naturally received it.

Ainsworth was quite satisfied with the two skills he received since Stabilizing Pulse (SS) had improved his repertoire as a part-time healer.

As for Culinary Transmutation (SSS), it literally allowed him to transmute or convert a non-edible object like rocks and grasses into edible ones.

Needless to say, it was an ability that could solve world hunger!

Of course, it wasn’t that exaggerated as it couldn’t create food out of nothing but needed an existing object for transformation. Depending on the non-edible object used, like a bar of soap, for example, it would likely grant a dish that temporarily increased cleanliness and sanitation.

Not only that, if he were to kill powerful enemies or those with special traits, he could infuse their special traits into the dish using Culinary Transmutation (SSS) and let his allies gain that special trait temporarily.

For example, if Ainsworth killed a fire dragon in a Magic Fantasy World, then he could infuse the "dragon fire breath" special trait into his dish and let his allies have the ability to breathe and spew out dragon fire even if it’s temporary.

It was literally Cooking Alchemy! With it, Ainsworth had more room for using his God-Level Cooking talent.

Furthermore, skills like Stabilizing Pulse might have range and duration limits, those could easily be broken by using Ultimate Freedom (SSS) alongside it. Using Ultimate Freedom to increase the range of Stabilizing to a 1km radius rather than a 10m radius was within his abilities.

Since the Earth Will handed him the two skill books for those two skills, they were naturally suited for him, especially Culinary Transmutation (SSS).

Completing Side Mission: Road To Zombie Overlord (SSS+) had already meant that Eleutheron Eclipse had completed the requirements such as Zombie Emperor Kyle successfully evolving into a Zombie Overlord.

’Including Kyle, the Church of Evolution now has three Overlord-ranks. High Priest Ken Rogers has been promoted to Apostle rank after he became an Evolver Overlord.’

’Another High Priest also got that treatment and with three Overlord-rank powerhouses as my subordinates, completing the remaining side mission is almost near.’

Knowing that the Church of Evolution under his leadership had become invincible, Ainsworth was at ease but he still didn’t let down his guard.

Adhering to his principles of always being prepared for anything, Ainsworth meticulously led the Church of Evolution to dominate the Zombie Apocalypse World!

Another week has passed, and it has been one month and two weeks since Eleutheron Eclipse arrived in the Zombie Apocalypse World.

It was at this time that the Ainsworth, Rian, and Dante received the same notification from the Voice of The World despite being at different locations.

’How come the side mission hasn’t been completed yet? The Church of Evolution already has 2 billion believers and even has several Overlord-rank powerhouses.’

’My religion’s influence has already spanned across the entire globe and like in the older eras, my Apostles and High Priests are already higher in rank than the President and other leaders of those countries.’

’Even when I used divination, my domination percentage had already reached 70% and the entire world’s population only had 5 billion left with approximately 2 billion being zombies. In other words, only 1 billion haven’t been converted to the Church of Evolution religion.’

Knowing that he had made a mistake in his estimations and he had underestimated the requirements of the side mission, Ainsworth’s eyes grew cold and indifferent as he thought, ’I knew I should have caused genocide.’

’If I had killed those 1 billion heretics who haven’t become believers of the Church of Evolution yet along with 1 billion zombies, then exterminating two billion human and zombie lives would have made domination percentage reach 99.99%.’

’That way, I would have long completed the side mission before the deadline.’

Although Ainsworth had that plan, it was rejected by Rian and Dante when he had asked for their opinion a day ago.

Rian felt that causing a genocide, even if those terrans have no human rights, would be going too far. He reasoned that killing them would be a waste of resources and since they weren’t in a hurry, it would be better to just let the deadline pass and extend their stay.

Dante backed up Rian’s opinion. In his words, he added, "As the High Apostle of the Church, it will be in the Church’s best interest to let them live longer since their fate of being converted is inevitable."

Of course, Ainsworth knew that they both disagreed with his plan mostly due to them having Awakener Points and therefore, having the money to pay for time limit extension.

If they didn’t, Rian and Dante wouldn’t mind his plan of causing a genocide since while they don’t actively support it, they aren’t against it either.

For them, completing the Otherworld Mission and Side Missions were paramount as they all have their own reasons for becoming stronger.

Because of that, Ainsworth agreed with their opinions and he didn’t hasten the progress of the side mission via genocide which led to this outcome.

Ainsworth was merely frustrated that if not for him being overly cautious and managing to plunder the challengers’ props, the side mission would have been impossible to complete without causing genocide.

Even by using divination, Ainsworth couldn’t figure out the domination percentage needed to complete the side mission. So, genocide was the best solution he had if he couldn’t extend the Otherworld Mission duration.

By merely killing those who weren’t part of his influence, he could keep on doing it until the Voice of The World notified that his side mission had been completed.

’Never mind, Rian and Dante are right. It would be too wasteful to kill those one billion heretics. I might as well take my time converting them into believers since I still can extend for a year.’
