[You have received the SS-rank Vengeful Liberty skill book!]
Without any hesitation, Ainsworth immediately used the skill book.
-Ding!
[You have acquired the SS-rank Vengeful Liberty skill!]
[Skill: Vengeful Liberty
Skill Rank: SS
Skill Ability:
(1) When the user is targeted by a lethal, oppressive, or controlling attack or ability (including fatal damage, seals, absolute crowd control, or rule-type suppression), the skill automatically triggers, negating the effect completely, and unleashing a retaliation strike based on the user’s highest offensive stat.
The retaliation ignores standard defenses and strikes at the source of the aggression, and it is further empowered if the enemy holds a higher authority (e.g., nobility, divine, or rule-based entities).
(2) After activation, the user is granted temporary immunity to all control effects and suppression for 10 seconds and gains +20% movement and attack speed during that period. If the user already has immunity to all control effects and suppression, gain +100% movement and attack speed. That buff will stack with the previous buff, and even increase the duration of the empowerment state to 1 minute from 10 seconds.
Duration: 10 seconds (empowerment state)
Cooldown: 3 hours]
After Ainsworth used the Vengeful Liberty (SS) skill book, he heard another notification sound.
-Ding!
[You have received the S-rank equipment Energy Band Of Reserve!]
[Item: Energy Band of Reserve
Item Rank: S
Item Type: Accessory
Item Ability:
(1): This bracelet passively absorbs and stores any type of energy the wearer naturally possesses or uses, including but not limited to mana, aura, vitality, spiritual energy, or viral energy. The stored energy is kept separate from the user’s main pool and does not interfere with natural regeneration.
The storage limit of the bracelet is 5 times the user’s maximum capacity for each applicable energy type.
The wearer can actively store energy in the bracelet since the bracelet passively absorbs and stores only if the wearer has reached maximum capacity for that type of energy.
(2): The user can freely draw stored energy from the bracelet at will, either gradually or in bursts. The transfer speed increases based on the user’s Spirit stat.
If the wearer’s main energy pool is empty, the bracelet will automatically begin supplying energy at a controlled rate to prevent immediate collapse.
(3): The bracelet can also be used to overcharge the user temporarily, allowing them to exceed their natural limits. For a short duration, the wearer may expend stored energy beyond their normal maximum, enabling empowered skills or casting during exhaustion. However, overuse can cause energy backlash or temporary fatigue.
Cooldown: None (Energy must be manually replenished; bracelet does not regenerate on its own)]
After he obtained the new item, Ainsworth examined the bracelet for a moment before slipping it onto his right wrist.
The Energy Band of Reserve (S) was sleek and metallic, forged from an alloy that shimmered subtly between silver and deep blue depending on the light. It was smooth and unadorned, save for a single, thin line of glowing etchings that ran along its surface—runes that pulsed faintly with energy like a heartbeat.
Despite its elegant simplicity, the bracelet fitted snugly and comfortably, adjusting itself to his wrist the moment he wore it. The glow dimmed to a soft, steady hue, signaling that it had recognized its new master.
’Although I rarely had energy exhaustion problems, that was merely due to not encountering an enemy that required me to go all out. Otherwise, if I did, my skills would use up a lot of energy, especially Ultimate Freedom.’
’The S-rank item Energy Band of Reserve solves my problem of lacking enough energy, and I’d be able to deal with enemies a few ranks stronger than me if I can use it properly.’
After wearing the Energy Band of Reserve (S), Ainsworth noticed that since his energy reserves were currently full, the bracelet’s passive of absorbing his energy had been activated.
He could feel his viral energy, mana, aura, and vitality being absorbed by the bracelet, but he could choose to stop it from doing so. He let it absorb his energy so that he could fill it up and use the stored energy when he needed it.
Having the Energy Band of Reserve (S) was like having five more bars of mana or energy if it was translated to gaming logic. So even if his main energy pool was full, he didn’t have to worry about wasting his natural energy regeneration rate as the Energy Band of Reserve (S) would absorb his energy passively at a rate equal to his energy regeneration rate.
As for the Vengeful Liberty (SS) skill, Ainsworth didn’t have much comment on it other than it was quite useful against sneak attacks or enemies who were stronger than him.
With it, if he ever received fatal damage, he could turn the tide by negating that fatal damage, and he could even perform a retaliation attack after that damage negation.
As if that weren’t enough, he’d receive an empowerment buff and due to his class traits of being immune to crowd control skills, the buff he’d receive would be a 100% movement and attack speed buff that would last for a minute rather than ten seconds.
After obtaining his new SS-rank skill and S-rank item, Ainsworth checked his status screen via the God-Level Choice System rather than the Voice of The World.

Seeing his improved stats and the added God-Level Talents, skills, and items, Ainsworth felt that his road to invincibility was just getting started.
No matter what, he was confident that most B-rank Awakeners wouldn’t be able to defeat him unless their lineup skills and attributes were more exaggerated than his. Even then, they’d have to have a superior rule-type ability than his, or else he could negate most skills just with the absurd amount of superpowers he had in his internal archive.
After checking his status screen, Ainsworth remembered the props he plundered from the 8 challengers.
Although the High Priests had captured 9 of them, there were only 8 challengers. The other one who had viral energy and a superpower was a native of the Zombie Apocalypse World.
As for how that native was assisting the challengers, it was merely due to one of the challengers having a special skill related to enslavement, and he enslaved a Special Evolver they had captured.
So in total, after defeating and plundering the props of those eight challengers, the props in his system inventory could now complete a set. Whether it was boots, chest armor, leggings, etc., he had a complete set of equipment, so by choosing to keep the better ones, he sold the rest of the props he had.

[Recycling the Main God Space props you have submitted...]

[Recycling completed!]
[You have obtained 12,480 Awakener Points!]
Looking at the Awakener Points he had, Ainsworth was pleased, ’With the additional Awakener Points I have, I can use them if I ever needed to extend the Otherworld Mission duration that I had left.’
Remembering he had three weeks left of stay in the Zombie Apocalypse World, Ainsworth wanted to take advantage of the "1 week time passed return" and "no lifespan reduction" that the Otherworld Mission had.
So if he were to extend his time to 1 year, he and his team could spend a lot of time here until they all found the side missions they could and even use that spare time to train themselves!
’Well, I can do that. At least, it’s better if I do it for as long as I get to upgrade my stats to B+.’
