Ainsworth knew that Rian and Dante badly needed training. He already decided to let them have hellish training in this Otherworld Mission so they wouldn’t mess up and die in the next.

Even currently, his DPS was higher than Rian’s and he no longer needed Dante’s defense as he already had a lot of skills related to mobility, evasion, and even an item that blocked a lethal blow.

Moreover, the High Priests in his Church of Evolution were even stronger than Rian and Dante despite those two being the High Apostles of the Church of Evolution. So, it was best if they could use this time to train while if he ever needed manpower, he could just use his believers instead of them.

Although Rian and Dante were weaker than him, Ainsworth didn’t mind weak teammates as having teammates was better than having none. At least, they were teammates he could fully trust.

One of the reasons Ainsworth wanted to team up with Elyndra, aside from romance, was that Elyndra was more suitable to be a leader than him.

After all, his skill set suited him to go solo and build his own expendable team. His playstyle and leadership leaned more on brainwashing and Hive Mind so it was better to let Rian and Dante be under Elyndra’s command than his.

Ainsworth disliked letting his friends do dangerous tasks especially when such tasks could easily be done by expendable natives from Otherworld.

’In the next Otherworld Mission, I can establish another branch of the Church of Evolution in that Otherworld. My skill set sure is handy in making loyal and expendable subordinates.’

’I want to be free rather than lead an otherworld team. So having Elyndra do it in my stead while I can still have an otherworld team I’m affiliated with is my best choice.’

’After all, Rian and Dante’s power systems conflict with the zombie virus power system. Otherwise, I could have used a Zombie Emperor or Evolver Emperor as an ingredient for my dish and infused their superpower into that dish.’

’That way, not only could Rian and Dante’s stats have been improved without relying on stat crystals, but they’d also obtain a superpower. However, I dare not try that as even I can’t use my best friends as test subjects.’

’It doesn’t help that the zombie virus is quite unpredictable and it could cause backlash with their existing Awakener power system. Of course, I could still use zombies and evolvers as ingredients to create a dish that gives buff rather than permanent power-ups instead.’

’That way, the zombie virus will be used to grant a temporary power-up rather than let it stay in an Awakener’s body.’

’Maybe when I return to Earth, I can use the monster corpses and otherworld fauna obtained by those senior Awakeners from the otherworld invaders and the Otherworld.’

’It just so happened that the Zombie Apocalypse World isn’t that good when using their specialty products as ingredients. However, the Immortality Cultivation World and Magic Fantasy World have abundant ingredients and resources that wouldn’t risk a backlash with the Awakener power system so I can try making dishes when I encounter such worlds in future Otherworld Missions.’

If possible, Ainsworth really wanted to make use of his God-Level Cooking talent to improve Rian and Dante’s power quickly.

However, he dared not risk it as the only reason why he could deal with the zombie virus was due to possessing an S-rank Evolver Sub-class. Not only that, his class exclusive skill was even related to manipulating the zombie virus.

From what he and his believers had discovered, the original zombie virus seemed to show signs of semi-sentience. It wasn’t completely a dead and insentient microorganism.

Fortunately, his S-rank Evolver sub-class had allowed him to create a father zombie virus that was unique to him and was under his complete control.

Although he was very smart academically, Ainsworth wasn’t completely talented in research. So he let those believers who were researchers before the virus outbreak study the zombie virus in their spare time. They had indeed found some findings such as the fact that the zombie virus was semi-sentient.

Those researchers who even have mind-related superpowers that boosted their brainpower or had a superpower to assist them in research could even do it better than him.

Of course, as the owner of the father zombie virus, he had all their unique zombie virus evolution strain so he could use any superpowers the Church of Evolution believers had ever had.

It was similar to how he could use Chloe’s ice superpower and Nichole’s gravity superpower. As long as he replicated and stored the unique zombie virus evolution strain of those evolvers in his internal archive, he could easily use it for himself or even recreate it.

There were even instances when under Ken Rogers’ request, his High Priest Ken Rogers had a bunch of Priests who had the lightning superpower after Ainsworth changed their superpower into that.

To ensure his High Priests could manage their cathedrals well, Ainsworth even gave them extra superpowers to complement their superpowers. Aside from Ken Rogers’ lightning superpower, he also had an electromagnetic field superpower and an energy battery superpower.

Those Priests who had lightning superpowers were requested by Ken Rogers for the purpose of using them to synergize with his energy battery superpower. The energy battery superpower could save up viral energy and even absorb and convert attacks that an evolver was resistant to into viral energy.

The energy battery superpower alone was quite useless as there was no point in storing up viral energy if there was no method of attack. Even absorbing and converting attacks would be useless as they could only be activated when the evolver could resist that attack.

For example, Ken Rogers’ main superpower was the lightning superpower. As long as it wasn’t lightning or electricity that was stronger than his, he could easily tank it without getting hurt.

Those lightning-based superpower Priests he requested were merely to use those Priests to transfer their lightning to him if he ever ran out of viral energy.

In short, during the past six days, Ainsworth wasn’t idle and he didn’t slack off. Using a sleepless superpower, he drastically reduced his sleep time to 2-4 hours a day during those six days.

It was even possible for him to use that superpower to not have any sleep at all. However, he decided not to go to that extreme as the purpose of sleep was to rest his mind and spirit.

’Under my meticulous management of the Church of Evolution, it won’t be long before it will become the Zombie Apocalypse World’s main religion. In other countries, it had already become that country’s main religion.’

’I have to say, claiming as the Virus God of Evolution isn’t unfounded as the pathogen control class exclusive skill I have could easily control the zombie virus and even make a virus superior in status to it which is the father zombie virus.’

Remembering what his believers had researched, Ainsworth pondered, ’According to my believers, the father zombie virus I bestowed to them is far superior in both quality and power than the original zombie virus.’

’The original zombie virus seemed to be cowardly when facing the father zombie virus. If it was a bloodline like in those Immortality Cultivation World or Magic Fantasy World, then it was like the bloodline suppression that true dragon bloodline have towards sub-dragons and lizards.’

’And with my direct interference and occasional preaching in the past six days, all the believers in the Church of Evolution have witnessed the miracles I performed for them which strengthened their beliefs that I am the Virus God of Evolution.’

’It was quite easy to prove my divine god status as I have complete control over not only viruses but pathogens. Not only that, I never claimed in the religious scriptures that I am the Almighty God of Creation who created the universe and everything in existence.’

’I had already proven that the feats I mentioned in the religious texts were something they couldn’t do but I could. They were miracles that could only be performed by the Virus God of Evolution.’

’Even without the Hive Mind, they couldn’t question my divinity using the Omnipotence Paradox as I am a god who never claimed to be omnipotent. In the lore I set in my religious texts, I was an extraterrestrial god who wanders from world to world to give mortals like them the chance to evolve from mediocrity.’

Ainsworth knew that the greatest deception was when truth was mixed with the right proportions of lies.

At least, he wasn’t lying when he was an extraterrestrial life as he indeed wasn’t from this world. He wasn’t a terran like them but an earthling so he wasn’t lying.

As far as he was concerned, his claims of godhood weren’t a lie in the sense that compared to the original zombie virus in Terra, his father zombie virus was like a god in front of it.

Last but not least, his religious deception was really difficult to see through due to his God-Level Cult Leader talent!
