After the complete collapse and disappearance of the Star Curtain, the resulting upheaval was far from settled.

First, the Spirit Abundance World, backed by Sage Jin, joined forces with Zhuo Gudao of the Spirit Observation World to carve out 5 continents from the Essence Ping World.

The Essence Luxuriant World also resisted Gu Yi’s suppression and the invasion of the Sages of the Essence Xing World, establishing their Essence Luxuriant Heavenly Field.

At the same time, the Spirit Mammoth World was forcibly brought back to the Essence Hong Heavenly Field to become a subsidiary Spirit World. The move was poised to bring immense benefits to the Essence Hong World, and as its sole Sage, Yuan Ping was very likely to use the opportunity to break through to a mid stage Sage.

The same situation played out in the Spirit Tinkle World and Spirit Thistle World. Both of which were heavily weakened by the previous large-scale battles. The Spirit Worlds were taken by Sage Hong Jing of the Essence Xia Heavenly Field and Yu Kun of the Essence Yuan Heavenly Field.

However, those Spirit Worlds were still in the process of being shifted through the void and hadn’t been integrated into their Heavenly Fields.

In truth, whether the Spirit Mammoth World, Spirit Thistle World, Spirit Tinkle World, or even the Spirit Abundance World... Not everyone in their world was willing to be absorbed into other Heavenly Fields.

But under the crushing weight of absolute power, they had no choice but to bow their heads.

The shift also tied in with the sudden rise of the Essence Luxuriant World. Particularly after the Azure Qing World actively sought refuge under them. Driven by their ambition to build a Heavenly Field, the Essence Luxuriant World dragged the Azure Qing World over and helped them to ascend. They also wiped out the strongholds of the foreign powers in the Heaven Observation Field.

Their fleets launched devastating strikes against several outposts held by external forces. The control over a few Spirit Worlds was weakened, and the previously suppressed internal factions found the opportunity to rise up.

Maybe because of that, and also wary of Shang Xia’s overwhelming strength displayed during his confrontation with other Sages, the various powers didn’t choose to rush into the Heaven Observation Field. Instead, they chose to pull the various Spirit Worlds into their Heavenly Fields and deal with other matters later.

Originally, there were Azure Worlds that also surrendered to those external Heavenly Fields, but after the purges carried out by the Essence Luxuriant World, the Heavenly Fields lacked the power to drag so many worlds away.

It was a unique opportunity for the Essence Luxuriant Heavenly Field.

They were closer to those unclaimed Azure Worlds and Barbaric World to begin with. There were even a bunch of Earth Stars which they could exert their influence immediately.

However, Shang Xia could not leave the Essence Luxuriant Heavenly Field just yet. Although he was not bound by it like most Sages, the current situation demanded his presence. It was especially so with Kou Chongxue on the verge of a breakthrough.

Fortunately, Shang Xia still had his Origin Star Avatar. The Essence Luxuriant World and Spirit Qing World had enough experts as well and neither he nor his Origin Star Avatar had to deal with everything themselves.

After sending away Huang Jinghan and Xiao Yugang who brought several third tier True Immortals over to figure out the situation, Shang Xia once again resumed his cultivation, waiting for the critical moment of Kou Chongxue’s advancement.

While that was happening, his Origin Star Avatar quietly left the Essence Luxuriant Heavenly Field.

Thanks to the blessing of the World’s Will after the Heavenly Field was established, Kou Chongxue seized the opportunity to advance and consumed his advancement medicine. The Elysium could no longer accommodate his rising cultivation.

Though Kou Chongxue could feel the connection, it wasn’t extreme. It hadn’t reached the point where, as Shang Xia once warned, where a cultivator needed to stake their soul into the World Origin Source to stabilize their breakthrough. However, it also wasn’t entirely gone, unlike Shang Xia’s own near-total freedom from the karmic bonds.

Still, he could sense that his link to the Essence Luxuriant World wasn’t a hindrance. In fact, the World’s Will seemed pleased at his impending breakthrough.

At first confused, Kou Chongxue quickly understood. "Is it because that kid is unshackled from the world that even the World’s Will feels uneasy? If so, then he could leave at any time. The soul he branded in the You Continent is probably just for show...”

That thought passed in a flash as he continued to focus on his breakthrough.

Having already received detailed guidance from Shang Xia, plus ancient records on ascending to the Martial Emptiness Realm, an advancement medicine from the Spirit Lyric World, and insight from the Heaven Observation Sect’s inheritance, Kou Chongxue had devised a method tailored to his own advancement. With the Essence Luxuriant World’s ascension complete and the Heavenly Field formed, the final pieces were in place.

In a moment of enlightenment, he seemed to have seen the bottleneck stopping him from going further. However, with a burst of primal sword intent, he cut open anything blocking his way and stepped into an empty, boundless void.

It was then that he grasped the true nature of the Martial Emptiness Realm. A massive Star Origin emerged from nothing.

Over the Jiao Continent, Shang Xia watched as Kou Chongxue completed his ascension.

Though Shang Xia’s Heaven Liberation prevented the Elysium from collapsing under Kou Chongxue’s might, the breakthrough still shook all of the Essence Luxuriant World.

The sky was filled with sword intent.

Nothing could be hidden even if Kou Chongxue tried.

Just like that, the Essence Luxuriant Heavenly Field welcomed their second Sage!

“Have I been in seclusion for long?” Kou Chongxue asked the moment he emerged.

Shang Xia raised an eyebrow and replied, “The 40th year of the Spirit Luxuriant Calendar had already passed...”

“No. We have already formed the Essence Luxuriant World and the Essence Luxuriant Heavenly Field. It’s time to change the name to the Essence Luxuriant Calendar. Now... We are in the Essence Luxuriant Era!”
