Chapter 902: Chapter 905: Mysterious Token
"Ah?"
When Qin Tian heard Fan Bing’s words, he was taken aback and didn’t quite grasp it.
Fan Bing blushed slightly, touched her cheek, lowered her head, and said, "I’ve said before, if any man can avenge me by killing that killer, I, I will marry him..."
"Oh..."
Qin Tian thought about it; it seemed like Bing’er had indeed said something like that before.
"Oh what oh, do you have nothing to say?"
Seeing Qin Tian unresponsive, Fan Bing bit her lower lip and glared at him.
"Since that’s the case, I’ll gladly accept your offer."
Qin Tian chuckled at Fan Bing, "Rest assured, you are my woman. I guarantee that killer will only die by my hand. If any other man dares challenge me, I’ll castrate him first, hehe, Bing’er, how do you like that?"
"That’s more like it."
Fan Bing was satisfied after hearing Qin Tian’s words, then suddenly reached out and touched Qin Tian, stood up, and said, "Once this is settled, I’ll be your woman, you can do whatever you want... in bed."
With that, Fan Bing gave Qin Tian a charming glance and walked out of his bedroom like an elegant lady, her hips swaying side to side as she strutted in high heels.
"Wow... since when did Bing’er become so seductive."
Watching Fan Bing gracefully exit, Qin Tian felt a tingling sensation in his heart.
He hadn’t expected Fan Bing to be so brazen, reaching out to touch him, flirting with him, cough, cough... he only wanted to say, Bing’er, could you keep doing that...
The next day, as usual, Fan Xue went to work under Yu Linglong’s protection, while Lin Zitong stayed behind with Qin Tian to accompany Fan Bing to Fan Lao’s residence in yard number 2.
Early in the morning, Fan Lao was in the courtyard wearing a white coat practicing Taiji; he looked vigorous and full of energy.
"Bing’er, Qin, you arrived so early, is there something urgent?"
Seeing Qin Tian and the others arrive, Fan Lao put on his clothes, returned to the living room, sat down, and asked straightforwardly.
It was only nine in the morning; it wouldn’t make sense for them to come this early without a reason.
"Grandfather, Qin Tian wants to take a look at the evidence from back then," Fan Bing said, seeing Fan Lao puzzled, she explained, "Qin Tian wants to see that token engraved with an eagle."
Upon hearing this, Fan Lao looked at Qin Tian and asked Fan Bing, "Bing’er, did you find any clues?"
Qin Tian said, "Fan Lao, Bing’er has told me about the events from years ago, including her fiancé. Therefore, I’ve been paying attention to this matter. Last night, I did indeed discover some clues, but I’m not sure, so I would like to look at the token to see if there’s anything that matches."
"In that case, please wait a moment."
Upon hearing Qin Tian’s words, Fan Lao didn’t ask anything further but turned and went inside the courtyard. After about ten minutes, Fan Lao returned with a brass token in hand, stating:
"Over the years, I’ve had many police and military personnel assist in investigating, but no useful clues were found. There are no suspicious fingerprints on this token, and although I suspect it’s some sort of credential from an organization, I have yet to confirm which organization it might belong to."
Fan Lao handed the brass token to Qin Tian.
This token was about the size of a hand, carved with the head of a majestic eagle on a yellow background—this black eagle was lifelike and looked incredibly regal.
Qin Tian examined the token closely, knitting his brows.
It’s clear this token was meticulously polished and crafted, not done haphazardly.
This suggests that Fan Lao’s theory was right on, the token is indeed a credential from some organization!
But which organization?
Qin Tian thought back; he had encountered many mysterious organizations both domestically and abroad, yet he had never seen one using this eagle head as its emblem.
"Have you ever seen this emblem?"
Qin Tian saw Lin Zitong lean in and asked her.
Lin Zitong glanced at it and shook her head slowly: "I’ve seen many organizations using eagles as their symbol. However, with this design and with a brass background, I haven’t come across one."
"This might not be an organization that frequently appears," Fan Lao lamented seeing Qin Tian and Lin Zitong both shake their heads, "If it was, I would have found it long ago."
Back then, Fan Lao had promised the late Zhuo Wei that he would avenge him.
Qin Tian continued scrutinizing the token and then asked Fan Lao, "Fan Lao, can I take some photos to share with friends who might have seen it?"
"Of course. Qin, I hope you can bring the killer in front of me yourself, hehe."
Fan Lao chuckled, gazing at Fan Bing on the side.
Years ago, Fan Lao was well aware of the vow Fan Bing made at Zhuo Wei’s grave.
"Grandpa..."
Seeing Fan Lao’s meaningful look, Fan Bing’s face reddened slightly.
Qin Tian didn’t pay any mind to Fan Bing’s shyness; he took out his phone and thoroughly photographed the brass token from every angle, even recording a video for extra measure.
Currently, aside from protecting the Fan Family, catching the rogue assassin Night Hawk is Qin Tian’s top priority.
If someone gets to him first, then... then Qin Tian will just have to take out that person first.
Upon leaving Fan Lao’s, Qin Tian asked Lin Zitong to take Fan Bing to her workplace and then called Zhou Yang, sending him pictures and videos of the brass token for identification and inquiring about any information related to it.
Meanwhile, Qin Tian went to Xiao Zhuang, where he also copied the photos and videos for him, asking Xiao Zhuang’s hacker friends to help search for information.
Qin Tian knew full well that after startling Night Hawk last night, Night Hawk would be aware Qin Tian is seeking him, thus he will likely hide and keep out of sight.
Based on him sending the Death Soldier Team against the Fan Family and meeting the Short King in the suburban woods, Night Hawk clearly does not want his identity exposed, nor does he want to reveal his master behind the scenes.
Thus, if the investigation is conducted openly, it’s unlikely to yield relevant information.
Instead, utilizing hackers or underground resources might prove more effective—with such methods, although unconventional, they often yield better results in tracking a mysterious organization.
"Old Third, focus on Beijing, have your hacker friends infiltrate various mysterious systems and investigate some influential yet secretive forces. This might lead to something worthwhile."
Qin Tian thought of something and instructed Xiao Zhuang.
