Qin Tian gave Fan Xue a faint smile, stood up, and then pulled Fan Xue from the ground.

As soon as Fan Xue stood up, she circled around Qin Tian, carefully examining him; then, she even reached out to feel his waist, back, and buttocks.

Qin Tian was startled and said, "Sister Xue, what are you doing? Why are you touching me?"

"I’m checking if you’re injured."

Fan Xue ignored Qin Tian’s strange look, seemingly unconcerned about what he might think, and carefully inspected his body. After confirming he had no injuries, she finally relaxed.

Qin Tian had been watching her the whole time. When she finished checking him, they looked at each other directly, and she whispered, "Qin Tian, thank you."

Qin Tian chuckled and said, "I was hired to protect you; you don’t need to thank me."

"But you’re risking your life to protect me."

Fan Xue looked up, her gaze filled with emotion as she stared at Qin Tian.

"Qin Tian, if my father hadn’t hired you to protect me, would you have still risked your life to save me like that?"

Fan Xue suddenly asked this question seriously, catching Qin Tian off guard. Before he could respond, Yu Linglong and the others had already approached them.

"Let’s go. We’ll take a taxi back. I despise dealing with the police." Yu Linglong said.

"Our car is already reduced to ashes. We have no choice but to take a taxi. These people went to such cruel lengths to get us." Fan Bing looked back at the parking lot engulfed in flames, seething with anger.

While Fan Xue wasn’t seriously injured, she did hurt her knee slightly when Qin Tian tackled her during the chaos.

They left before the police arrived, with Qin Tian carrying Fan Xue. Yu Linglong and Lin Zitong covered the front and rear, preventing any further ambushes.

To avoid any more trouble, they hailed a taxi after leaving the street.

"Two taxis it is. Those bandits likely won’t make another move."

Qin Tian nodded but, to be safe, had Yu Linglong and Lin Zitong accompany Fan Bing in the first taxi, while he and the injured Fan Xue took the second taxi.

The two taxis followed each other closely, heading back home.

Fan Xue’s villa was in the suburbs. About half an hour later, the two taxis entered a less trafficked area.

With fewer cars on the road, the taxis sped up, and in an instant, the distance between them widened.

"Driver, speed up! We must keep up with the car in front!"

Seeing Lin Zitong’s car disappear around a bend, Qin Tian had a bad feeling and urged the driver.

Just as their taxi was about to round the corner, two vans suddenly sped up from behind!

The vans quickly overtook them, then swerved to block their taxi!

If not for the slow speed on the bend, the taxi would have crashed.
