Chapter 61: Chapter 060 This is really a teahouse

Bang! Bang! Bang!

Qin Tian’s fists were unyieldingly hard; punch after punch landed with full force, leaving the two thugs completely defenseless.

The thugs were probably stunned out of their wits—what kind of person charges in and starts hitting people without reason? Is there no sense of justice anymore?

Of course, it wasn’t just the two of them who were shocked; even Liu Ping’an and the other security guards watching from a distance were dumbfounded.

What’s gotten into Captain Qin today? He’s so furious.

The key issue was, even if you wanted to hit someone, you shouldn’t hit just anyone, especially not these two,

whom everyone at the company has been avoiding these past few days. Yet Captain Qin actually took the initiative to confront them? And to hit them?!

Realizing something was amiss, especially after seeing Qin Tian not pulling his punches, the company’s security were all stunned. Knowing that Liu Ping’an had a good relationship with Qin Tian, they quickly called for Liu Ping’an to stop Qin Tian.

"Boss, stop it, you’re going to beat them to death!"

"Boss!"

Liu Ping’an ran over anxiously, trying to grab hold of Qin Tian.

But how could Liu Ping’an restrain Qin Tian’s strength?

Especially when Qin Tian was in a rage, there were few who could hold him back.

"Boss, they can’t take much more, Boss..." Liu Ping’an shouted loudly.

Under Qin Tian’s relentless fists, the two thugs were covered in blood, gasping for air, and were on the brink of passing out.

"Qin Tian, stop!"

Suddenly, a voice from afar reached them, a stern female shout.

However, Qin Tian acted as if he hadn’t heard it, his fists continued raining down on the two thugs.

"Stop it! If you don’t stop, I’ll shoot!"

From a distance, a police car pulled up, and in it were Meng Yao and Zhang Dahai.

Meng Yao held a pistol in her hand, the barrel pointed straight at Qin Tian.

Upon hearing this, Qin Tian finally ceased his assault and turned around, his gaze piercingly fixed on Meng Yao.

"You—you stop, I’m serious about shooting!"

Seeing the frenzied anger in Qin Tian’s eyes, Meng Yao felt a bit intimidated for some reason, taking deep breaths to calm her nervous heart.

The door of the police car swung open, and Zhang Dahai stepped out, not uttering a word, he directly handcuffed Qin Tian.

"Assaulting someone in public and causing serious injury. Qin Tian, this time there’s solid evidence; you can’t escape!"

Zhang Dahai’s lips curled into a sly smirk, thinking to himself that last time, without evidence, you were bailed out, but this time, with both eyewitnesses and physical evidence, let’s see how you talk your way out of this! No matter what you say, you won’t be able to escape the law’s punishment this time!

Zhang Dahai was even contemplating how he would use tactics to interrogate Qin Tian in the police station to avenge the mockery Qin Tian had made of him before.

The two thugs were not lightly beaten, but fortunately, they could still speak. Meng Yao took their statements right away, had them sign, and then she and Zhang Dahai took Qin Tian back to the police station with them.

Qin Tian was very clear in his mind that being caught by these two at the scene, whatever he said was probably pointless. But in the moment of rage, who can hold back?

"Now that we have both the eyewitness and material evidence, Qin Tian, what do you think your end will be?"

Inside the police station’s interrogation room, Zhang Dahai sneered at Qin Tian with a mocking tone.

He didn’t remove Qin Tian’s handcuffs and didn’t even let him sit down. Instead, he deliberately had Qin Tian stand while he sat drinking tea, all set to torment Qin Tian gradually.

Qin Tian didn’t say a word, nor did he see the need to.

"Heh, not talking? You think it’s okay to stay silent?"

Seeing Qin Tian standing motionless, Zhang Dahai took a sip of his tea and scoffed.

He picked up a police baton and walked up to Qin Tian.

With the baton pressed against Qin Tian’s chest and a menacing look on his face, Zhang Dahai suddenly barked, "Stand properly! Place your hands correctly! Look up!"

His baton was pointing arrogantly all over Qin Tian’s body.

"What’s with that look in your eyes, hmm?"

When Qin Tian looked up at Zhang Dahai, Zhang Dahai saw the disdain in Qin Tian’s eyes and instantly flew into a rage.

"What the hell are you glaring at me for? Hmm? Are you angry? What, you want to hit me? What right do you have now—"

Slap!

Before Zhang Dahai could finish speaking, Qin Tian suddenly reached out and delivered a heavy slap across his face!

The sound was exceptionally crisp!

Hiss!

Caught at close range, the slap hit Zhang Dahai squarely, throwing him off balance, nearly toppling over in pain, gritting his teeth.

He got hit by a suspect?

Zhang Dahai was instantly furious, but what shocked him even more was, weren’t Qin Tian’s hands cuffed? How did he manage to hit someone with one hand?

Looking towards Qin Tian’s wrists, there were no handcuffs on Qin Tian’s wrists anymore.

"You mother-fucker, removing your handcuffs on your own and assaulting an officer, the crime is one degree heavier!"

Zhang Dahai promptly added this charge to Qin Tian, "Assaulting an officer, you have the audacity! You’re done for!"

"Shut up!"

Slap!

Qin Tian finally spoke up, and with his words, he sent another slap flying towards Zhang Dahai!

This time, both sides of Zhang Dahai’s face bore the imprint of five fingers, leaving him feeling slightly dazed by Qin Tian’s assault.

"You, you... lawless!"

Clutching his baton, Zhang Dahai took a direct swing at Qin Tian’s abdomen!

"Hitting once is assaulting an officer, hitting twice is also assaulting an officer, why miss the chance when it’s free!"

Qin Tian easily grabbed the baton from Zhang Dahai’s hand while his other hand moved left and right in a swift motion—

Slap slap slap slap!

In an instant, more than a dozen solid slaps landed on Zhang Dahai’s face, causing it to swell!

"Assaulting an officer! Assaulting an officer!"

Zhang Dahai shouted, wailing in pain.

Bang!

The door to the interrogation room was suddenly flung open, and in came a burly middle-aged man dressed in a police uniform, with an air of authority on his face.

Qin Tian turned his head and the two exchanged glances, both showing odd expressions.

"What’s going on?"

The man spoke with an authoritative tone laden with a powerful aura, clearly indicating his extraordinary skills.

This man was in his thirties, about 1.75 meters tall, with a straight posture that suggested a military background, and sharp eyes sat in his slightly tanned face, which distinguished him from the surrounding officers!

Of course, the uniform he wore was different from the ones worn by Zhang Dahai and the others.

"Chief Cao, this suspect has assaulted an officer! He assaulted me; look at my face..."

Seeing the man enter, Zhang Dahai called out loudly, as if he had grasped a lifeline.

The middle-aged man who had just walked in was Cao Guojun, the deputy chief of the Eastern District police station. Known for his sternness and swift, decisive actions in punishing criminals, he had earned the nickname "Iron-faced Chief."

Because of his harsh methods towards suspects, Zhang Dahai felt excited to see Cao Guojun walk in, anticipating a worse fate for Qin Tian now that the Chief had witnessed the beating firsthand—an added crime!

"Was it you who hit him?"

Cao Guojun asked Qin Tian.

"I did it," Qin Tian admitted directly, releasing the swollen-cheeked Zhang Dahai and taking a deep breath before calming down.

"Do you know where you are?" Cao Guojun demanded grimly.

"Got carried away and forgot," Qin Tian quipped, raising an eyebrow.

Zhang Dahai added fuel to the fire from the side.

He saw that Cao Guojun’s expression was turning foul, which meant that Qin Tian probably wouldn’t come out of this unscathed.

Remembering how just last month Cao Guojun had dealt with a robber—by giving him a beating in his office before sending him off to prison—Zhang Dahai couldn’t help but smirk.

When Cao Guojun got angry, it seemed like no one in the station could stand up to him, let alone a criminal suspect.

"All these things Captain Zhang described, did you do them?" asked Cao Guojun, his gaze icy.

Qin Tian smiled, "I forgot."

"What did you say? Say that again!" Cao Guojun’s brow furrowed, anger rising in his eyes.

"Qin Tian, show some respect. This is our deputy chief. Speaking to him in that tone is an insult!"

Zhang Dahai continued to provoke, eager to incite Cao Guojun’s wrath, believing that the deputy chief would definitely drag Qin Tian to his office for a personal "interrogation."

"Deputy chief, huh? What’s so great about that? I’ve got a brother who’s also a deputy chief," Qin Tian shrugged nonchalantly, even sporting a relaxed smile when looking at Cao Guojun.

"Be serious!"

All of a sudden, Cao Guojun’s voice grew louder, "You need to understand who you are. Do you think this is a teahouse?"

Clearly, Cao Guojun was enraged, especially after hearing about Qin Tian’s "glorious deeds" from Zhang Dahai.

"If you were to make me a cup of tea, then this could indeed be a teahouse," Qin Tian replied, unflinchingly meeting Cao Guojun’s gaze.

"It seems you prefer punishment over a respectful drink!"

Cao Guojun, fuming with anger, huffed coldly and said to Zhang Dahai, "Captain Zhang, you don’t need to deal with this man anymore, I’ll take full responsibility."

"Ah? Alright, alright..."

Delighted by the words, Zhang Dahai said, "Chief Cao, I’ll immediately compile his information for you. This man has no respect for the law, he should be heavily sentenced!"

"I said I’ll handle it, what are you butting in for!?"

Cao Guojun roared furiously, and Zhang Dahai, embarrassed yet accustomed to such treatment, quickly offered appeasing laughter, "Yes, yes, you handle it as you see fit, Chief Cao. I’ll step back; I didn’t see anything."

Zhang Dahai could sense Cao Guojun’s intentions and felt even more elated, wondering if the chief would actually take him to his office.

"Captain Zhang, bring him and his files to my office, immediately!"

After speaking, Cao Guojun gave Qin Tian a glance, turned around, and walked out of the interrogation room.

As he left, an odd smile appeared on Cao Guojun’s face.
