The middle-aged woman snatched the money from the girl’s hands, and the girl felt heartbroken as she watched her hard-earned money taken away right before her eyes. She cried sadly, but no one around said anything; they all remained silent.

Not far away, behind where Qin Tian was standing and a few meters away by the roadside, two girls sat in a black Mercedes, watching the scene unfold.

"Heehee, isn’t Liu Fei’er usually indifferent to everything? Look at her face now; she’s crying like what, hahaha, it just makes me so happy." This girl had her legs crossed arrogantly in the car, looking very pleased with herself.

The girl beside her, heavily made up and with a cigarette dangling from her mouth, said, "She’s nothing but trash. Qin Tian felt helpless listening to the middle-aged woman’s screams; damn it, can’t you shout something else? I can’t bear this accusation... I’d rather deal with a pig...

"Hey, what are you doing? Mind your own business!" A middle-aged man stepped forward.

At this point, the crowd that was about to disperse started to gather again.

Everyone was curious about the sudden appearance of Qin Tian; what was this man’s relationship with the girl?

Qin Tian had no intention of letting go. On the contrary, he increased his grip, causing the middle-aged woman to feel a sharp pain in her wrist and yowl in agony.

"Are you going to return it or not?" Qin Tian asked again.

"Everyone come and look, this man is bullying! He’s hitting someone! He’s beating her!" The old woman showcased her screaming skills, wailing as if trying to tear the sky apart, loving the chaos she was causing.

"Sir, I’ve already given them the money. Let’s just let it go..."

Liu Fei’er had wanted to thank Qin Tian for standing up for her, but upon approaching him she realized he was the same man who had hit on her at the restaurant at noon. Instantly, the thank you that was on the tip of her tongue was swallowed back.

"Miss, they are scamming you for money. You can’t give them any," Qin Tian said.

"I don’t need your help. Just leave. I’ve already paid them. Let’s just keep the peace. You don’t need to interfere," Liu Fei’er said.

"Hehe, now that I’ve gotten involved, I’ll see it through to the end."

Qin Tian chuckled and then turned to the old woman who was still wailing, and said sternly, "Old woman, what’s with all the noise? You conspired to scam and extort. Do you want me to call the police so we can confront this issue face to face?"

Upon hearing this, all three of them in the scam stopped in their tracks.

"Then call the police! You hit me and you still dare to call the police. Go on, try it!" the middle-aged woman said defiantly.

"Ouch!" As soon as she finished speaking, Qin Tian exerted more force and the middle-aged woman screamed like a stuck pig.

With his other hand, Qin Tian easily retrieved the money that the middle-aged woman was clutching and said, "Over there, is the person who hired you in that car? They gave you a thousand yuan, and you really are acting like their lackeys, bullying people?"

As he spoke, Qin Tian pointed in the direction of the Mercedes where Zhang Yunzi and Qiao Yage were sitting.

Following the direction Qin Tian pointed, the three scammers looked over and saw Zhang Yunzi and Qiao Yage in the car, changing their expressions drastically.

Now that they couldn’t pretend anymore, after being exposed by Qin Tian, they instantly looked ashamed and disheveled.

"Damn, this guy actually knows that we were paid off by those two women?"

Seeing that everyone was looking at them, Zhang Yunzi and Qiao Yage inside the car squinted at Qin Tian angrily, "This meddler, what’s wrong with him? Let’s go, we need to get out of here!"

Under the gaze of the onlookers, Zhang Yunzi and Qiao Yage quickly drove away.

After they left, the three scammers could no longer bear the disgrace and hurried away, glancing at each other with humiliated expressions.

As the onlookers dispersed, Qin Tian approached Liu Fei’er, who had tear stains on her face and a puzzled look, and handed her the money: "Here, this belongs to you."
