Chapter 108: A Rogue’s Reputation

After an hour of walking, the party finally returned to the village and it had become a totally different animal since they left . It seemed like the number of players had grown exponentially in the time that they were gone. The shouts of players calling out to make parties to go kill monsters. Merchants had even appeared, buying and selling loot as well as materials from monsters.

"This place got crowded real quick. The appeal of the game must be getting to people."

Sonata remarked as she landed in front of everybody, retracting her wings with a shrug. Horo glanced around at the crowd and noticed that everyone was beginning to stare at them. His brow furrowed when he noticed that there were multiple men shooting him murderous and jealous gazes.

"Why are these guys glaring at me like I killed their parents or something?"

He couldn’t just understand it. He could see men spitting on the ground in his direction and discreetly cussing him out with colourful sign language.

"Playboy bastard! Enemy of women walking around with 5 beauties! Leave some for the rest of us. Handsome Playboy Scum! Go Die!"

’Hehehehe...HAHAHAHAHAHA~!’

Arachne howled with laughter as Horo came to the realization that he was being cursed out because they thought he was the only male in an all female party filled with cute and beautiful women.

He didn’t know whether to laugh or cry as he also realized that they had also included Leo as one of the girls. Also these people had no idea that while the girls were pretty, they also had more than a few screws loose.

Luna: A girl with a beautiful face and her rabbit ears were definitely a factor in making her appear cute, A textbook definition of an adorable Legal Loli. In reality, she was the physically strongest and scariest member of the party!

Lily: Beautiful green hair, short stature and killer figure, she was definitely dangerous to the imagination of both boys and girls. The issue with her was that she was definitely a basket case and he struggled to decide if she was a ditz or a genius.

Nyx: Her scantily dressed appearance and her lack of boundaries definitely would cause the average guy a problem in more than one sense. The problem with her though was that she was certifiably insane! Chaos personified and sanity was pretty guaranteed to be lost dealing with her.

Sonata: Beautiful red hair and the wings gave her an angelic presence. She was also quite curvy. In fact she was probably the most ’normal’ one in the group but her real life drama would definitely put a damper on any form of relationship.

Leo:....Why was he even entertaining that idea?!. Leo is a guy! A cute guy sure but a guy nonetheless!

Shaking his head to clear away those crazy thoughts, he whispered his realization of why people were staring at them to Leo. Horo could tell that with every word he was getting more agitated as his tail straightened out and puffed up just like an angry cat.

Leo whipped his head towards the crowd, roaring as loud as his voice would allow.

"Who said it?! Who said I was a beautiful girl?! STEP FORWARD FUCKERS! I’LL FUCK YOU UP! I AM A GUY YOU BASTARDS!"

Leo’s face grew completely red as he lost control over his temper. It took the combined efforts of Nyx and Luna to hold Leo back from charging towards the nearest group of bystanders who were watching spectacles. Sonata noticed a few men fall to their knees after hearing Leo shout. She was about to approach one of them when he slammed his fists into the ground.

"Damn it! Damn it all! It should have been me! Damn that Playboy scum! He even managed to land a cat femboy!"

Sonata stepped away from him with her gaze frosty and filled with undisguised disgust. Lily also heard some disturbing remarks coming from some of the men but she did her best to ignore it. That was until one man reached out his hand to her.

"Lil Miss, you should leave that Playboy and hang with us. We will know how to treat you better than scum like him!"

The hand belonged to a middle aged man with a potbelly. He had four friends with him who looked to be similar in age to him and all of them were giving her sleazy looks. Caught off guard, she closed her eyes, planning to retaliate when she got a chance. However even after a few seconds passed, she felt no touch on her body.

Opening her eyes again, she saw Horo had stepped in, grabbing the man’s wrist, radiating a malevolent aura as he glared at the middle aged man who looked to be in pain from his tight grip. The man groaned but tried to act tough.

"Y-You brat! Let me go or we will be forced to hurt you! Don’t you know who—"

"Old man"

Horo’s voice interjected, shutting the man up as Horo’s predatory gaze and cold expression intimidated him.

"Don’t you dare even touch my friend with your grimy paws. In fact don’t you dare come near her ever again. If she even so much as catches a glimpse of you and tells me about it. Care to guess what I will do~?"

The man gulped as sweat dripped down his greasy face. Even still he tried to act tough

"You won’t dare touch m—"

"Wrong answer! I will Kill you! Unless the other’s get to you first~!"

"Ugh!"

The man didn’t know when but the snakelike man had managed to put a throat against his neck without him realizing it. He was about to yell at his friends to help him when he noticed that they were trembling. Looking past him, he noticed that the other people who had been with Horo were now glaring at them. He couldn’t help but feel that he made a move, they would tear him apart.

A droplet of blood trickled down the man’s throat as only now did one of his friends try to intimidate them.

"You s-should let us go! Our Boss won’t let you off if you mess with us!"

Horo scoffed as he glared mockingly at the man who foolishly continued trying to threaten them.

"Oh pray tell. Who is your boss~!"

Emboldened by the perceived hesitation, the man puffed up his chest and proudly declared

"Our Boss is the Great BanditKing. Currently the 3rd best Rogue on the Leaderboards!"

Leo and his party froze as they glanced at each other. They then opened the Leaderboards that they had neglected to check up til now. Once Horo checked the Rogue Rankings, he started chuckling uncontrollably.

"A-are you afraid now? You should let us go! Fuck off and leave the girls behind you insolent fool!"

The first man rubbed his throat as he tried to regain some of the commanding authority he had tried to display earlier

"Hahahhaha!"

Horo held his stomach as he burst out into loud uproarious laughter.

"Why are you laughing! You should be listening to us or BanditKing will tear you apart!"

"I would like to see him try~! Why don’t you call your Boss and we can settle this here and now."

The man was incensed as he glared at Horo and roared

"Who the hell do you think you are asshole?! How dare you call out our Boss?!"

Horo pointed his knife to his face with a smirk on his face

"Who am I? My name is..."

His smirk turned into a wide grin
