Lily quickly glanced at the chaos unfolding around her, a rare serious expression on her face as she did her mental calculations.

Without questioning her, Leo fired at an empty space. He honestly thought it was going to miss until Nyx dodged into the path of the bullet, striking her temple, causing her head to snap to the side, narrowly dodging a flaming claw that grazed her shoulder instead of crushing her skull.

Nyx glanced back with a grateful look in her eyes only to see Lily with her hand covering Leo’s mouth. It was as if they were incredibly close or something. She knew by the glint in Lily’s eyes that she had definitely played a key part in her survival, somewhere deep down she couldn’t help but feel a little annoyed.

With renewed vigor, she started hitting Enkiba even harder as a target to vent her frustration on. Horo too was somewhat amused, catching that Nyx was definitely a little jealous of Lily at this very moment.

’Little Snake. Enough Gawking, more fighting! I will not allow you to be the most useless one here. Show those arrogant fools what a child of mine can do!’

He cried mentally as he stoically charged towards Enkiba. Using one of the monster’s legs as a springboard, Horo launched himself into the air, swinging his dagger in an arc, slashed the monster’s snout and nose, blood dripping to the ground with a sickening sizzle.

Despite the brief contact, Horo’s shoes were charred and the soles of his feet had been carbonized, he felt that his feet would heal if given enough time. Yet before he even hit the ground, Horo’s gaze met with Enkiba’s. It was murderous. Nyx was completely ignored as Enkiba swung its paw downward as if to spike Horo into the ground like some sort of blood filled volleyball.

Enkiba staggered back. letting out a deafening roar of agony as blood oozed from the beast’s eyes. The black bullets had deprived it completely of its vision and it could only rely on its instincts and sense of smell to track its foes to fight back.

Horo felt something dig into his neck but a surge of vitality coursed from the spot. Lily had predicted his actions and even his downward trajectory while simultaneously accounting for the positions and actions the boss would take!

’She really is a genius!’

Horo felt a chill run down his spine as Lily’s eyes darted around like lightning, capturing every single detail in her surroundings.

’Just how far ahead is she seeing?!’

Luna had a smirk on her face as she too saw what was happening. While she did see her hand on her brother as a bit excessive, Luna had absolute faith in Lily’s abilities.

She charged straight in, her axe swung with reckless abandon as it dug into the knee of Enkiba, eliciting another roar of pain.

A paw was swung but a bullet but a bullet striking one of its claws deflected the blow just enough for Luna to escape unscathed.

Lily turned to Sonata who had stopped singing, her mana drained and throat sore. Lily frowned and was trying to come up with an alternative idea...that was until she saw Moku holding a little blue leaf in his little mouth.

"Moku! I love you~!"

She cooed before glanced back at Sonata.

"Sona, Take the leaf from Moku and use it. I need you to scream at the BOSS as loud as you can after!"

Sonata was taken aback at Lily’s commanding tone but nevertheless nodded her head in affirmation.

Kneeling down, Sonata took the little leaf from Moku who panted in an attempt to cool down and let out a small "Pyu~!" of encouragement. Unable to hold herself back, Sonata pet Moku’s little head and quietly muttered

"Good boy~!"

Moku’s little tail wagged like a helicopter at being complimented as Sonata’s attention turned to the leaf...or rather the herb.

The main ingredient in the manufacturing of Mana Potions. The Mana herb is distilled in order to improve the purity of Mana that can be used to immediately replace depleted mana pools. While not as effective as a potion, Mana herbs can be chewed on to increase mana regeneration. Extremely Bitter.

It was just enough for Sonata to recover enough mana to fulfil Lily’s request however she hesitated. She absolutely hated bitter foods but for her new friends, she was willing to bite that bullet.

She opened her mouth and popped the herb inside of her mouth. The moment it touched her tongue, she wanted to cry. A sharp, harsh flavor flooded her mouth and she wanted to spit it out. Instead she could only reluctantly chew as Moku stared at her with it’s big eyes as if it had done a good deed.

’Oh my god! This is sooooo GROSS! Ugh. If Moku wasn’t staring at me, I would have spat this out already!’

Forcing herself to swallow, she glared at Enkiba with frustration and anger in her gaze.

’Cause of you, I had to chew such a disgusting thing!’

Sonata spread her wings and flew to Enkiba who was flailing it’s arms wildly as it tried to swat the three melee combatants who were harassing it. Taking a deep breath, she screamed as loud as she could, even as some of her feathers became singed from the heat.

Enkiba’s ears began to bleed as its last sense was deprived. Horo’s blow had destroyed it’s sense of smell, the bullets had taken its eyes and now it could no longer hear anything.

The beasts cries became Sorrowful, unaware that Luna had used a cave wall as a springboard to launch herself up towards its head. Sonata flew backwards, dodging Luna’s swing as he used a spinning momentum to cleave into Enkiba’s neck.

The fires on Enkiba’s body extinguished themselves as the hulking body slowly collapsed to it’s knees, before falling forward, lifeless.
