Zhang Yuan, Ming Yuelin, and Xue Hua quietly made their way down the long, dim corridor towards Long Xue's room.

The door creaked open and the three of them stepped in.

Long Xue who was sitting on the bed talking with her father, turned her gaze to look at the door.

Her bright green eyes lit up when she saw Zhang Yuan, the man who had saved her from the terrible illness that had plagued her body for months.

A subtle yet sincere smile curved her lips, and without wasting a moment, she gracefully climbed off the bed.

With light and hurried steps, Long Xue approached Zhang Yuan, her head lowered in a deep and respectful bow. "Please accept my deepest gratitude, Master Yuan," she said, her voice full of reverence.

Looking at her, Zhang Yuan smiled faintly "Glad I could help..."

Long Xue straightened up, her eyes full of admiration and respect for him. "Please, Master Yuan, come in and make yourself comfortable," she said, gesturing with her hand toward the interior of the room.

Zhang Yuan walked toward the bed, intending to sit on the stool beside it. But Long Xue quickly intervened, shaking her head with a gentle insistence. "Please," she said, pointing to the bed, "sit here instead."

Not wanting to refuse her hospitality, Zhang Yuan gave her a small nod and sat down on the edge of the bed. Long Xue followed suit, sitting beside him but keeping a polite distance, her posture poised and elegant.

"Now your body can withstand the power of the bloodline and you have to take this medicinal bath two more times within the next month."

Zhang Yuan gave a slight nod, and together with Ming Yuelin and Xue Hua, they followed Long Xue out of the room. As they stepped into the hallway, Jin Wei and Chen Zin approached from the other direction.

"We heard the princess has made a full recovery," Jin Wei said with a pleasant smile, her eyes lingering on Long Xue with obvious relief.

Chen Zin's expression soured slightly, her lips twitching in frustration 'This cunt is annoying as always... I will surely beat you one day...'

Slowly they stepped onto the terrace as the warm glow of the evening sun greeted them.

Feeling the cool air caress her skin, Long Yue closed her eyes in satisfaction 'How many months has it been.. since I got a proper fresh air...'

She sighed in satisfaction, 'I never thought I'd be able to enjoy the fresh air again...' she thought wistfully, a soft smile playing on her lips.

As she opened her eyes, she glanced at Zhang Yuan who was about to sit on his chair around the table.

Looking at him, her gaze softened and she hurriedly walked to take the seat beside him as Ming Yuelin sat on his other side.

Moments later, two maids arrived with a tea tray, gracefully pouring the fragrant liquid into delicate porcelain cups. The soothing aroma of the tea filled the air, blending with the crisp scent of the evening breeze.

Long Xian joined them on the terrace shortly after, taking his place at the table.

He picked up his cup and sipped the tea slowly, his gaze also wandering toward the view. "The city looks magnificent from here," he commented, as he admired the sight of the sprawling city bathed in the golden hues of twilight.

"Indeed," Zhang Yuan agreed, his eyes skimming the horizon. "It's a beautiful view. Tomorrow we could go out for a bit of sightseeing."

Long Xue's eyes brighten up in excitement upon hearing this "Then... I can also join you."

Jin Wei smiled fondly "Yeah..."

As time passed, they finished their teas and Chen Zin and Jin Wei were the first ones to stand up.

"Then we are leaving... we were training in the training ground till now. We will go and continue that."

"Hm... okay..."

As they left, Long Xue who was sitting beside Zhang Yuan felt her body trembling and her gaze quivered.
