Inside the orphanage, in the biggest room designated for Emilio himself.

It has been over 8 hours since Emilio has been "abducted", and as per usual, he woke up on the clock to read the "report" from his lab that's been far away from him, this is so that any kind of activities that can potentially be discovered will not be able to implicate him, also the Secret Service Department have prohibited digital sending of the lab reports to avoid detection, specially so that the Information and Communications Technology Department is yet to fully bloom and cyber attacks are still rampant left and right with some even suspected to be coming from people with governmental directives.

Of course, some communications needed specialized signals to be conveyed in designated phones.

Today, Emilio is specifically excited, or that's how he should feel, for his equations have just been proven last report, and now, the researchers under him are just on their way to having test runs and applications of the equations.

Though for Emilio, it was just for another day, because in his life, the only wrong he felt he had been doing was his handwriting, which he couldn't improve despite being a theoretical and applied physicist with a PhD.

Emilio stared silently at the door, not feeling bored, just waiting so that he could safely read what his lab had been up to.

And if one is to observe, they would confirm Apolinario's observation.

In the eyes of possibly the world's smartest man is hollowness, no, forget about not being in the same level as his peers, in those lightless and void-like eyes that continued to stare at nothingness, not even thinking of using his phone to watch the "rated spg" materials given to him by Manila is a primal solitude as if... as if..

It was as if Emilio didn't belong to this planet itself.

It was a strange feeling, like this creeping dread of looking at an alien that was forced into a boy's body to dominate the world with his superior constitution, and this observation will be enforced by the fact that the boy has the instinctive knowledge that he is never wrong.

Emilio, who has been normally patient, squinted his eyes. He felt like the arrival of the report is too long, thus he decided to stand up to see what happened to the one that will deliver the said report, however, before he can even do so, the door suddenly creaked open, and Father Lakan, or rather, Agent Lakan, former secretary of the Secret Services Department that's now reinstated to service to protect the files that will be remotely checked by Emilio and to protect Emilio himself from forced abductions from several camps.

Emilio saw this father figure of his, who also turned out to be a former Secret Service member, and saw the government-issued one-on-one dumb phone that only receives calls from one specific phone and can't be physically configured to work with other devices. The priest's expression is grim as he looked at Emilio, his teeth are tightly clenched.

"The Code Black file didn't arrived or is late for 9 hours already, we presume it stolen and have now took care of the "courier" agent that's automatically been branded a traitor and the whole Secret Service Department has tapped all of it's sleeper agents throughout the Philippines to catch the culprit... unfortunately, your project is too expensive and we have to temporarily pull out the agents from the periphery countries. Thus, for now, you are prohibited from doing anything that will point at you during this time, lest the country will get incriminated by the world itself."

Emilio, for the first time in a while, squinted his eyes as a way to show his emotion, not because his country has been pulling out budgets for every department for the biggest breakthrough of their best and personally groomed physicist, but because of the nature of the incident itself.

_I wonder what really happened._

Emotionless as he is, Emilio is still a very smart person and felt like something was wrong with his father figure, though in the end, Emilio didn't pursue the matter.

One of the precautions of Apolinario when he became someone who was designated to the Secret Services is that pin cameras and any listening devices can't get inside his car, in this aspect he specifically learned programming and programmed the whole computer system of the SUV to scan in infrared the car constantly, thus Apolinario is not worried that the secret service has been tailing me at this time.

Apolinario speculated that the one who will be sacked is the courier of the code black envelope and maybe Father Lakan himself, and if Father Lakan was able to sneak such a confidential and highly tracked document, possibly even having a tracker injected in the paper itself by not even saying to be careful, it's safe to assume that Father Lakan is a former, or perhaps a reinstated spy of the secret service department.

Thinking of this, Apolinario, while using his self-made GPS jamming device in his own car, plunched the SUV in his safehouse that also can't be detected by the government, he even made sure to hire clean hitmen to take care of any agents that will pursue him one day. Surely, he doesn't want to have his privacy compromised just by having clout in the Secret Service. Without getting out of the car, Apolinario opened the envelope with a serious expression.

_The disappearance of this document has probably caused a nationwide search for it... however, if this is really stolen, it would probably be a dark operation attack by another country that wants to uncover the secrets of Emilio and seize it to themselves... unfortunately, from all the things I can here from him, that boy is confident that all of what he's doing can only be done and deciphered by him... and that person is rarely wrong._

Thinking of this, Apolinario finally saw the document, causing his eyes to morph from one that had vigilance to the one with unconcealed anger, slowly, as if edging himself, he read the 10-page document with numbers, letters, and jargon he couldn't understand.

What he can understand, however, is that these are the reports of the applied physicists in the lab of Emilio, and in the end is a blueprint.

And that blueprint has a name, "Emilio's bomb".

"All... all those times that bastard deprived Emilio of his will... all the story that Emilio said... being given supplements to be able to walk straight, before 5, while already being able to talk fluently before 4..."

Being given mathematical problems worth half a day to answer, while half a day is focused on linguistic knowledge...

Problems and language are increasingly becoming difficult each passing day...

Prohibition until the last 3 years to interact with anyone...

All of it... all of this is to create a perfect genius, someone who will obey them with vigorous and unquestioning will.

"This country... has grown desperate..."

Apolinario clutched the document, his hands shaking as if struggling to control himself from ripping it apart.

At first, if Apolinario is to get honest, he is not interested on leading this country, after all, it was too troublesome, specially the conservative constitution that is being allowed to exist by conservative people afraid of even touching the topic of constitutional amendments like people will just turn into dictators right after finalizing the amendments.

He thought that he could just become a secretary, and somehow, someway, change the structure of this godforsaken land.

But now, he has changed his mind.

He will not let his friend, or any other children, have their emotions be snatched away by force just for a revolution that's doomed to be hounded with criticism and possibly the third world war.

Apolinario will force this derailed country in the right direction.

And as his first step towards this is to save his friend, to keep, restore all that was deprived of Emilio.

By any means necessary.

"I'm sorry, Emilio."
