Chapter 503: Chapter 337 Try (Five in One)_4
Hejassi furrowed his brow and asked,
"Did you get the message?"
"I received it, are we evacuating?"
"It seems so, I just called Shu’en. It looks like the Imperial Army from the homeland and the six major Neutral Countries have deployed a massive number of troops to encircle us."
"I know, let’s walk and talk."
Su Ming addressed Hejassi.
"Right!"
Hejassi responded sonorously.
...
Training Ground 3.
Rhein and the others had all gathered, whispering among themselves.
"What’s going on?"
"Not sure, on the way over there were personnel gathering everywhere."
"Quiet, the officer is coming!"
Deng Yu, sharp-eyed, saw Su Ming approach and quickly told everyone.
Rhein and the others stood upright.
At that moment, Su Ming arrived in front of them, glanced over the group, and said,
"Everyone, sit down. Let’s have a brief meeting."
Upon hearing this, Rhein and the others sat down on the ground, puzzledly asking,
"What happened?"
"I just got news that the Imperial forces blocking Sky Dome City haven’t moved, but the Dark Star Empire’s homeland and the six major Neutral Countries have sent troops to encircle us."
Su Ming explained briefly.
"Damn, no wonder it’s so quiet, those Imperial Army turds have some brains after all."
Rhein commented grimly upon hearing this.
"Squad leader, what do we do now?"
Ankaga asked curiously.
"The high command has issued an order. In three hours, Starshine Fortress will launch into superluminal flight, leaving the Siloke Star Sea."
"Ah, we’re heading back now? Aren’t we going to save them?"
"Seems like it."
Su Ming sighed in response.
Hearing this, Rhein and the others looked dispirited, like deflated balloons, and each lowered their heads.
Seeing the discouraged group, Su Ming said,
"Come on, don’t be downhearted!"
"Sir, isn’t it frustrating? We finally won a hard-fought victory and sacrificed so many comrades, only to leave without the rescued and flee in disgrace."
Deng Yu clenched his teeth and spoke bitterly.
"It’s normal to feel frustrated, but you all need to understand, reality is often very harsh."
Su Ming addressed the group.
"Yes."
The group spoke dejectedly, heads bowed down.
"Alright, I won’t say much else; I need to assign tasks now."
Su Ming addressed the group.
"Sir, go ahead!"
"Even though Starshine Fortress is heading back, no one knows what dangers we might encounter on the way, or if the enemy might follow and ambush us. Therefore, we need to be on guard continuously from now on, except for rest and meal times. Everyone must gather at Training Ground 3 for practice, so we can respond immediately to any emergency."
"Yes, Sir!"
Rhein and the others responded seriously.
"Alright, Rhein, lead the training session. I’ll be here watching!"
Su Ming said with a stern voice.
"Right!"
Rhein nodded in acknowledgment.
...
Later in the evening.
Su Ming quietly observed Rhein and the others practicing. He checked the time on his wrist device, which showed it was 6:30 PM. It was time to wrap up, so he called out,
"Alright, training’s over. Let’s go have dinner!"
Hearing this, Rhein and the others returned their Mechas to their positions, then one after another climbed out of their cockpits.
"Squad leader, let’s eat together."
Rhein and a few others approached Su Ming and said.
"Sure!"
Su Ming nodded in agreement.
Just as he was about to head to the cafeteria with Rhein and the others, a message popped up on his wrist device. He looked down at it, then said,
"Rhein, you guys go ahead to eat."
"What’s up?"
"Just some last-minute business to deal with."
"Uh, okay!"
Rhein was a bit surprised but did not ask further.
...
Shortly afterwards, at Starshine Fortress’s Dock 2.
Su Ming arrived at the Wind Moving on a moving platform, where he saw several mechanics operating Iron Head Mechas, using various tools to work overtime repairing the damaged bridge.
He glanced around, then walked towards the hanger’s entrance.
Soon, Su Ming entered the hangar and was greeted by Master Acala, accompanied by two apprentices, waiting for him.
"Master, is my Mecha modification complete?"
"Yes, come with me!"
Master Acala said with a smile to Su Ming.
"You’re fast, it’s been only a few days."
Su Ming replied, somewhat surprised.
At that moment, Acala’s apprentice, a proud-faced young man with some freckles, spoke up.
"Of course, we’re shipboard mechanics! How could we be slow in repairs and modifications? If you guys were defeated, we’d be doomed too."
"What are you saying? Show some respect!"
Master Acala raised his hand and smacked apprentice Chen Liang on the head.
Chen Liang quickly shut his mouth.
Master Acala then continued with a smile to Su Ming,
"Young people don’t know their limits, don’t mind him."
"No worries."
Su Ming replied with a smile.
Soon after, Acala led Su Ming to a Mecha station where a large object covered with a black tarp came into view.
"Commander, are you ready?"
Acala asked with a smile.
"Yes."
Su Ming eyed the large object covered by the black tarp, feeling a bit agitated.
Master Acala then said,
"Arla, unveil it!"
Chen Liang grabbed the remote and pressed a button. Several mechanical arms from above extended down and unfolded the black tarp.
A 30-meter-tall Mecha encased in black armor with the Red Moon emblem painted on its left shoulder appeared before Su Ming’s eyes. It was equipped with a pair of Particle Beam Cannons on its shoulders and had dual red and black Mechanical Wings embedded on its back. In its left hand, it held a red triangular metal shield, and in its right, a Crimson Spear, with two Particle Light Sabers attached to its waist, presenting an overwhelmingly oppressive Fourth Generation Mecha.
