SEX WITH MY BEST FRIEND'S FIANCÉ -
Chapter 73 - SEVENTY THREE
Chapter 73: Chapter SEVENTY THREE
- KILLIAN -
The night ended nicely. I hold a glass to my mouth and gulp down my red wine.
Way better than I anticipated it to end.
Don’t get me wrong, I still wanted to rip Kaiden’s limbs apart when she was all over him but that girl’s mine.
Hazel is finally mine.
The best part about this is she accepted me. And I don’t feel stupid now that my head is clear.
I’ve never been one to make a decision recklessly, yet a few hours ago, I was high on jealousy and rage and asked the question I never thought I was ready to. There’s this form of accomplishment oozing out of my mind along with satisfaction.
Those nights being patient did not go to waste. Those nights she invaded my thoughts and I barely had an iota of rest because she was my only interruption. I would’ve had her my way if things didn’t end well between us in the long run, thankfully there was no need, but, boy, do I feel happy!
Genuinely.
It’s so weird yet intriguing at the same time. I haven’t had such a rush of emotions flowing through me at once without any negative one.
I cross my leg on the other in my home office. I’m seated magnificently on my seat while having a mini alone time celebration with wine.
I take another gulp down my throat and exhale. I’ve had this wine before, yet for some reason, it tastes better.
I raise my hand up and rest it on my chin. Despite my head being clouded with every possible thing Hazel and I will do together, part of me thinks about Liam. I should break this to him first or he’d act out in his typical annoying, childish way if he finds out by himself.
I hold my wine glass to my face, slowly churning it in my hand. I inhale. A half grin taints my lips. Fine wine indeed. I bring the wine glass closer to my lips, spreading my lips ajar when I felt a human’s presence.
"Pour me a glass? It’s been a while since I’ve had wine." My brows crease as the sultry, husky voice of a lady slid in my ears. Even in my sleep, I would recognise that voice. Even if I was unconscious.
Asami.
My eyes rest on her as she prowls my private room.
"Or let me rephrase that. It’s been a while since I’ve had good wine with the all mighty Killian Ivanov." She giggles. Her fingers are touching my things. I hate the invasion of privacy.
My jaw tightens. "What are you doing here, Asami?"
Asami stops patrolling and turns to face me. She swings her hips to the side. I glare at her from head to toe. Of course it is typical Asami to invade someone’s home without notice and walk around like she owns the place.
What I’m more concerned about is how she got in. And how long has she been here?
How on earth did I not know sooner?
Dressed in a black, strapless, heart shaped corset and a short, leather skirt is Asami. Hanging over her shoulders is a full length black coat and she’s wearing heels. This makes me question a lot of things but it’s no wonder how silent her steps are with heels.
"Oh Killian, ease up on the frown for me. Pretend to be happy to see me. At least for once." She pushes her shoulders backwards, letting her coat fall down her arms. Asami rests both her fists on her waist while leaning her hips to a side.
I roll my eyes. "You’re an eye sore, Asami."
"You’re very welcome. Nice to see you too." She winks at me and walks to my front. My desk is the only distance between us.
My goodness, I want to strangle her. Asami lifts up her leg and sits on my desk. "May I?" She asks, locking eyes with me. Her hand darts forward without me answering and she takes the wine glass from my hand and pours herself some wine.
She lowered the glass below her jaw, whisked her hand gently then inhaled. Now her gaze falls on me. Her glossy red lips sway to a side and she takes a sip. There’s another unused glass on my desk but she chose to use mine.
I huff with frustration. "Divine." She whispers and hands the glass over to me.
I land a careful glare at her fingers before meeting her gaze. I’ll pass. I pick the other wine glass up and serve myself some wine. "Cheers." I say, raising my cup up then take a sip.
Despite her composure, I can sense her frustration from here. It gives me joy. "So, ready to state your business?" I ask, leaning back on my seat. "What do I owe the unexpected visit?"
Asami leans closer to me, sitting on my desk fully with both ass cheeks. Her head is directly in front of mine and her bare chest and cleavage is in sight. She wants me to see them. "Business already? You sure are a decent man."
I scoff. "Do me a favour and put your clothes on."
She chuckles. "I am wearing clothes."
I stand up and walk behind her. My hands holds both parts of her coat leaning on her arms and raise it up her shoulder. That’s as far as I can touch. "Zip up." I say firmly.
"You’re infuriating." She purrs.
"I take pride in that." I counter. Asami sits up straight and wraps her coat over her torso. Thank goodness. Finally something worth looking at, the coat. It’s a fine material. "State the reason for your visit, Asami." I say. My tone says I won’t demand twice.
Asami stands in front of me. The heels added a few inches to her height and her forehead is just below my jaw. She looks up to face me, staying too close. I hold my hands behind me, keeping my gaze fixed on her.
I don’t want her to steal anything.
"If you had picked my calls or listened, you would’ve known."
"Well I didn’t. And I have the authority to kick you out on the streets. So speak."
"Hardcore Killian. Just the way I like it." Her fingers linger on my chest.
"If you love your hands, you’ll take them off me." I say, not moving a muscle. Asami keeps her head high, leaving her eyes on me. I’m not joking. I will cut them off. I don’t appreciate anyone’s hands other than Hazel’s resting on my body.
And I don’t need to say anything further to her. Asami knows me to a decent amount, she’s aware of what I can do. She also knows how much I detest her. She raises her hands up in surrender.
"Obeyed." She flashes a sly grin. She knows what she was driving at. She knows how much I love being obeyed. Not by her. There’s a strong affection of hate I have for her and she’s well aware.
"Need I ask twice?"
"Well, considering you’re not taking your work properly, I was sent to come over."
My brows furrows for a second. My work?
"S knows you lost the flash drive." Asami wanders around in my room again. I follow her every move with my daring glare.
That ass. Of course he does.
"He also knows you’ve slacked for so long."
"The last time I checked, it was my business, my enemy. He only offered a hand."
Asami shot me a stare. She walks to me and holds her hands behind her, pushing her chest forward. "You’re forgetting your part of the deal, Killian. Why S chose to aid. Do your part well so you can do his."
I sigh. "So, you’re fully on the enemy’s side."
"Your enemy. Not mine. It’s solely business, remember?" She giggles, circling around me. "Now look where that got me. Standing face to face with my once beloved." Asami swiped something from me. I didn’t bother to turn to find out what. She’ll give it back. I know it.
"You’re getting engaged? Or you’re about to propose?" She asks, holding the ring box to her face. The shimmer of the diamond blinds my eye. Her smile suddenly seems forced. "Is it to the fiancé or someone else?"
My eyes widen. She knows too much. I hold my hand out. "Give it back."
She spares me a soft gaze. Disappointmeant written all over and closed the box then handed it to me.
"You’re doing well listening to orders, Asami."
Her head tilts up. "What can I say, I had the best master." Her voice is laced with a sultry purr that can penetrate any man’s walls. Not mine. Never mine.
"Get out of my house."
"Oh Killian, I never planned to stay." Asami raises her hand up. Her hand is beside my face, she didn’t touch me but gestured her hand down my cheeks, like a gentle pat. "I missed seeing this face up close."
Too bad I didn’t miss seeing hers. "What can I say? Some faces are unforgettable." I utter. I need her to leave. Knowing she’s here fills me with a bad feeling.
"Some moments too." Asami said. I’d beg to differ considering I know what she’s talking about.
Asami walks to the door. "I’ll leave for now. We’ll meet more often." She said. She can just go back the way she came but she’s not Asami if she doesn’t cause trouble. "And Killian, keep your slut away from me."
My jaw tightens. "Caution your tongue. I would hate to get rid of it."
Her lips spread apart like she wanted to say something but she was silent. "You’re slacking, Killian." She finally says and holds her hand up to her face, showing me her fingers. Hazel’s ring is on it.
I held myself from charging towards her and slicing that finger off with one of the daggers in my desk drawer. Asami takes the ring off and throws it at me. I catch it with a swing of my hand.
I examine the ring on my fingers. How did I miss her taking it? I look up. She’s gone.
That lady makes my blood boil. I sigh. Now I have one more responsibility. Protecting Hazel. At least now I have a decent knowledge on how the other copies of my flash drive went missing but that is unsettling. S has full access to this house. I may need to move somewhere he won’t have access to.
I sigh. They is playing a dangerous game sending Asami here. I’m starting to wonder how much Asami knows and how much They does.
[ They refers to S]
I guess I
may have to do things my way more often. It’s high time I resumed my project on finding the identity of S. Along with the murderer of my parents.
