Seoul Object Story
Chapter 241: Broken Moon (3)

Even though the sky was covered in darkness, there was a mysterious purple moon which looked like a large amethyst hanging in the sky.

The moonlight softly illuminated the city, and under that light, the city was quiet and peaceful, as if it was under a spell.

A Blue Girl was slowly walking down the moonlit street with a muscular man.

The buildings lining the street looked like they had jumped out of a fantasy novel.

The street exuded something that the Blue Girl could not get used to, no matter how many times she saw it, no matter how many years had passed.

In this fantasy world, there’s no Tyrannosaurus.

The Blue Girl grumbled without a sound.

The man beside her noticed that the girl was thinking about something useless, but just pretended not to know and hurried his steps.

As they passed the buildings that seemed to have jumped out of a fairy tale and entered the open square, a large fountain in the center of the city welcomed the girl and the man.

The water coming out from the fountain was shining in a mysterious color under the purple moonlight. It was an incredibly beautiful sight, but the man frowned as he looked at the crowd of people gathered around the fountain.

“Hmm, even in this northern part of the country, there are so many ‘fake’ alchemists around.”

“Well, there’s nothing we can do since I was the last real alchemist.”

Unlike the man who was very annoyed, the Blue Girl just smiled as if it didn’t matter.

“Even so, can they really call what they did alchemy since they can’t even handle a single mystic and just spray that dirty evolution liquid around?”

“Well, that’s definitely true.”

The Blue Girl turned her body 180 degrees, making her back facing against the fountain, and continued speaking while looking at the man.

“But if we look through old history books, there are records of ‘ancient alchemists’ calling alchemists like us ‘fake’.”

Then the blue girl chuckled and added, ‘Maybe it’s natural course.’

Seeing the girl acting like that, the man seemed to calm down. He rubbed his temple with his large hand and said.

“Then why don’t you tell me now about the thing you need my help with.”

“Oh, did you notice that?”

The Blue Girl giggled awkwardly, as if embarrassed that her true intention was discovered when she didn’t want to.

“You only call this teacher of yours when you need something. You heartless kid.”

As he said that, the man patted the blue girl’s head with his large palm.

“I’m not sure… Should I call it an Old book or a stone with lots of letters engraved on it. I need something like that.”

“…”

The man folded his arms and looked down at the girl as if telling her to say more.

“But, that thing is the ‘religion’s’ sacred relic…”

“Crazy bitch.”

As soon as the Blue Girl spoke, the man blurted out with a bewildered expression.

*********

I was staring intently at the large mirror in front of me which was attached to the wall.

Hmm.

No matter how I looked at my reflection in the mirror, it really looked like the younger version of Yerin.

Yerin from the front, Yerin from the side. The reflection even looked like Yerin when I opened my mouth or made a cute V sign. It was still Yerin even with the soft cheeks carelessly rubbed.

I couldn’t help but laugh at the thought of Yerin moving like I wanted. I felt like I could have fun for 10 hours just by looking at the mirror.

While I was thinking that, I heard a loud noise coming from outside.

I raised my head to follow the sound, and I found a small window that was too high to reach no matter how much I stretched out.

From that window, pleasant voices and the smell of delicious food were flowing in.

Wow.

I was amazed at the person who designed this room.

The flames that burned this body every day.

The mirrors that make the owner of this body couldn’t escape from her burned appearance.

And the pleasant sounds and smells from the outside.

This room seemed to have been designed to thoroughly torment this girl.

Gulp-!

When I smelled the delicious smell, I suddenly felt hungry.

Hmm, I should go out and eat something and play, no. I should gather information.

I had to find out what this dream was.

And what <End The Dream Properly.> meant.

In addition, I felt like it wasn’t a coincidence that someone who looked exactly like Yerin appeared in ‘Moon’s Kaleidoscope’.

Anyway, how should I get out of here?

I looked up at the small window that seemed to be about 3m away and started to think.

*********

Under the purple moon that was vivid and shiny, unlike what I saw in the snowfield, I escaped from the mirror room and sat down in the downtown area.

Fortunately, I could use the other abilities of the ‘Gray Reaper’ in addition to regeneration, so I was able to escape easily.

At first, I thought about using the simplest solution, the ‘Phantom Form’, but I gave up.

It was obvious that a 10-year-old kid who wasn’t even an Object would not be able to properly enjoy delicious food if they were wandering the streets naked.

So the method I chose was to cut the space, climb up, and escape through the window.

It would have been easy to just smash the room with ‘Squeezing the Space’, but I thought it would be too noisy, so I chose to come out quietly.

Om nom nom-!

I took a bite of the moistly grilled meat skewers and looked at the scenery of the city.

People in exotic clothes were bustling around me, and their bright laughter and conversations added liveliness to the streets.

It’s delicious.

The meat on the skewers was golden brown and well-cooked, the outside was crispy and the inside was moist.

I didn’t know what kind of meat it was. Moreover, there were vegetables I’d never seen before between the meat.

They were crunchy and slightly spicy, stimulating my appetite.

I didn’t know what kind of vegetables they were.

I also couldn’t tell what the ingredients were, but the meat juice that filled my mouth in every bite made me forget about such trivial things.

Before I knew it, I had finished all the meat skewers, so I walked to the front of the stall and held out my hand.

Then the store owner hurriedly grilled another skewer and put it on my hand.

“Enjoy your meal!”

After the store owner’s greeting, I flopped down on the empty chair and started eating again.

The group where this body that I was transferred into belong, the ‘Isekai Yerin’ was more powerful than I thought. I didn’t even need money to buy anything.

From what I heard from passersby and merchants, it seemed like a group called a ‘religion’.

The ‘religion’ was probably a group of ninjas.

I wondered what kind of group they were, so I gathered information, but I didn’t find out much.

However, I was able to find out one strange thing.

The ‘religion’ was a group that served something, but no one knew what.

There was no name, appearance, statue, picture, or mention of the thing they serve.

They just worshiped and served it.

It was a religion that I couldn’t understand at all.

However, it seemed like they were quite respected since they processed the ‘Magic Books’ without seeking any compensation.

Om nom nom-!

I held a skewer and swung my legs which were much shorter compared to the chair, and enjoyed the street scenery.

The colorful lights on the walls of the building and the purple moonlight were blending well together.

Cheerful musical instrument sounds could be heard from somewhere, and people were swaying their bodies to the rhythm.

But amongst the sound, a strange sound was coming to my ears.

It was the sound of a sharp blade.

It must have been related to <End The Dream Properly.>

Sigh…

I sighed deeply, quickly ate the skewer, and got up from my seat.

*********

In the purple moon city where darkness had descended, a girl with blue hair was running frantically in the darkness of the back alleys of the city.

Master! Your disciple is dying!

The blue girl was desperately searching for her master who had promised to help her. However, the passageway that her master had prepared was nowhere to be seen.

“You guys are really persistent. Didn’t I tell you that I would just borrow it for a moment, check the contents, and return it to you?!”

In the arms of the girl who was breathing heavily and screaming, there was something like a square plate that glowed green.

The plate was made of green jade that glowed with a beautiful light.

However, the black-clad men who had been chasing her did not even think about answering, and simply swung their sharp blades indifferently.

The girl rolled around, covered in dust as she tried to avoid the blades. But even so, her head was thinking about something absurd.

I thought the Religion guys’ outfits looked like ‘ninjas’, but it seems like they are really ‘ninjas’!

The ninjas were moving with movements that were hard to believe that it was done with pure physical ability without alchemy, such as jumping out of the ground or jumping from the sky.

And then at the last moment,

A sharp blade flew towards the heart of the Blue Girl who was cornered in a dead end.

This is ridiculous. Is this how it ends?

The girl knew and believed in her fate, so she could not believe this situation.

I am someone with great fate! I am someone who is needed!

Clap-! Clap-!

At the moment when she thought this was the end, a small applause could be heard in the alley.

What followed soon after was the sound of footsteps.

Thump-! Thump-! Thump-!

At that moment, the ground the ninjas were standing on collapsed and they were sucked into an endless abyss with no end in sight.

Plop-! Plop-!

When the Blue Girl turned her head to the sound of the footsteps, she found a child of about ten years old slowly approaching her from the entrance of the alley with an indifferent expression that did not match a ten-year-old girl at all.

As if her eyes were on fire, she was emitting golden flames and approaching her with a childish gait.
