Seoul Object Story
Chapter 215: The Labyrinth (9)

If you make it through the labyrinth to the end, your wish will come true.

There was something strange about the large stone monument with all sorts of languages written on it.

‘Wish’ huh?

Could there really be an Object that could do something so great?

It might be possible if someone collected about 10 eyes that held such powerful power. However, an ordinary Object wouldn’t be able to grant a wish. Still, the fact that it could grant a ‘wish’ was clearly a pretty attractive reward, after all there were many armed people gathered at the entrance to the labyrinth.

A middle-aged man wearing armor that reflected light like the surface of a rippling lake, with traces of a fierce battle left behind like scars.

A woman walking around with steps that seemed to be riding the wind, holding a longbow as big as her, looking ready to fire at any moment.

A man standing with both hands holding a large staff with all his might, wearing a robe that looked incredibly hot in the warm sunlight.

People of all ages and genders, dressed like adventurers, lined up at the entrance to the labyrinth.

It was truly a labyrinth city.

If it was a labyrinth from fantasy, then forming a party and exploring the labyrinth together should be the norm. With that thought in mind, I slowly walked toward the place where people were gathered, filled with anticipation. But then, an unfamiliar language began to enter my ears.

Ugh, I can’t understand a single word.

And since I couldn’t speak, I couldn’t even make a party here!

Maybe it was because I couldn’t have a proper fantasy adventure, I tried to see the killing condition of the labyrinth.

< End of Adventure. >

I only thought about ‘If I can’t do any adventure, no one else can!’ but I was suddenly flustered when I saw the destruction condition.

Unfortunately, the labyrinth’s killing condition was more ambiguous than I thought.

As I stared blankly at the entrance to the labyrinth, all these thoughts in mind, a good idea suddenly came to me.

A way to add party members even if I couldn’t speak!

If I save those in danger in the labyrinth with my awesome dual swordsmanship, won’t they become my party?

A natural party!

Hihihihi-!

I laughed to myself, opened the labyrinth door with all my might, and went in.

It was very heavy and stiff, perhaps because it was a labyrinth door, but I was able to open it with the power of the Black Reaper armor.

I stood in the middle of the heavy door and slowly walked forward while pushing it with both hands.

A heavy door that could only be opened by pushing it with both hands!

This is also like an adventure.

Plop-! Plop-!

Full of excitement, I walked briskly into the labyrinth.

*********

The middle-aged man the girl called the “dog meat uncle” stood at the entrance of the labyrinth wearing the armor he had last donned a long time ago. Although it had many battle scars, the old armor, which had been meticulously maintained, still reflected the sunlight, breaking it into small pieces.

Unlike the armor that looked like a true veteran’s equipment, the man’s expression looked extremely anxious. The torch hanging outside the labyrinth was burning green, and the labyrinth’s door was closed.

“Damn, it’s already been over a day, and the door still won’t open.”

“This is the first time this has happened, calm down a bit. Let’s go in and find the brat right away when the door opens.”

The man wearing a thick robe turned over and said to the anxious-looking middle-aged man in a sharp voice, telling him to calm down a bit.

“By the way, there are so many guards around. Aren’t their numbers almost the entire labyrinth city’s security? What the hell is going on?”

In response to the question of the man wearing a thick robe, the woman wearing leather armor gestured somewhere with her chin.

“It must be because of that. It’s not even inside the labyrinth, so it’s understandable to be nervous with such an Object running around the city.”

Hearing that, the robed man turned to the black-armored Object and gulped.

“Why is that in the city? It’s fortunate that I don’t feel any hostility from it. If I were, I’d want to run away right away.”

The woman holding the large bow laughed softly at the tense-looking robed man.

“Why are you so tense? Your staff is going to break.”

“Wow. You are talking like that when you’ve even drawn your bowstring?”

The two of them were arguing exaggeratedly, as if they were trying to forget their fear.

This light-hearted argument continued until a strange sound was heard from the entrance to the labyrinth. It was a strange sound that sounded like a scream of a solid stone crumbling.

A small Object about 1m tall was pushing the firmly closed labyrinth door with both hands.

It seemed like there was no particular problem with the movement, but when they looked down and looked at the Object’s feet, a terrible abyss was lurking. The black vein-like tentacles were writhing and digging into the solid floor.

It seemed to be there for the support of the Object to push the door, but the black veins pulsating with powerful force were made in a shape that made the viewer tremble with fear.

The moment the door to the labyrinth that had been blocked opened completely with the sound of rocks crumbling, those ominous veins were sucked back into the armor.

Plop-! Plop-!

Then, the black armor Object that had forced the door open disappeared into the labyrinth with a brisk footstep.

When the people gathered at the entrance to the labyrinth were frozen in fear and unable to move due to the sudden situation, the middle-aged man who were wearing an old looking set of armor quickly ran into the opened door.

And as soon as the man entered, the labyrinth door that had been opened closed tightly again.

*********

As I entered the labyrinth, the space twisted and transported me to another space. The place I arrived at was a square room with four torches hanging from it.

Ohhhhh.

I looked around as if I had come to a new tourist attraction. The four torches and the strange series of alphabet and numbers on the ceiling caught my eye. However, no matter how much I looked, I couldn’t see any monsters or passages.

Hmm, is it some kind of quiz?

Squeeze-!

Suddenly feeling lazy, I tore the space apart and broke one wall. After going over the wall several times in the same way, I was finally able to encounter a monster.

It was a large wolf with a greenish glow.

With a confident expression, I drew my twin swords and rushed at the wolf, slashing down the swords in my hands.

However, the wolf easily avoided my sword strikes with light steps.

Bang-!

Bang-!

Bang-!

Probably thanks to the strength compensation of the Black Reaper, the sword I swung made a heavy sound and broke the floor, but not a single sword strike landed properly.

Mom, don’t hit it with the blade!

Mom, the position of your feet is important to power your weapon!

The Black Reapers were quiet at first, but soon they started to give me advice every time I took a step.

The wolf who was dodging everywhere was so annoying that I tried to tear the space apart, but I came up with another way for my fantasy adventure life.

Auto hunt on!

As soon as I told the Black Reapers to move on their own, the Black Reaper armor jumped a step and spun around in the air, striking with a graceful trajectory. The slash was so sharp that the wolf’s neck slowly slid off like something out of a comic book.

The Black Reaper was also quite a swordsman, perhaps because they were originally the Golden Reaper’s swordsmanship master.

When I return to Sehee Research Institute later, I should fight the Golden Reaper’s First Sword.

After wandering around for a few minutes, anticipating the meeting in the labyrinth, I arrived in front of a large door. It was a door that looked important at first glance.

This labyrinth was really like a game, so I guess I would have to go through this door to fight the floor boss. And if I win, I’d be able to go to the next floor.

Even though I hadn’t met any party members yet, I thought I’d be able to recruit party members naturally if I went to the slightly difficult place—the 2nd floor. After all, he 1st floor only had wolves and swallows.

When I opened the door with anticipation for the next floor, a room filled with purple appeared before me. It was a room filled with a shiny purple doll and purple mirrors.

I slowly walked into the boss’s room, looking at the fantasy boss I met for the first time with eyes full of anticipation. As soon as I entered the room filled with purple, the door I had come through closed. Yes, the door didn’t just close, it vanished without a trace.

It really felt like a boss room.

I looked at the door that had disappeared, feeling intrigued as if I was on a labyrinth tour.

Then, I felt something moving, so I checked the direction where the boss was standing. However, it seemed like the boss was further away than before.

What is this? Am I mistaken?

Seeing that the boss wasn’t moving, I thought that it had to be touched to make it move.

Then, there must be a secret hidden in this mysterious room made of purple mirrors.

I was looking around the room, which was as pretty as a jewel, when I heard a strange sound.

Kiiikk-! Kiiiik-!

It sounded like someone was scratching a hard surface with a sharp object.

I turned my head to check, and suddenly I could see the boss had already moved so close to the wall across from me.

?

This time, it definitely seemed to have moved.

As I became convinced and started to move, the boss turned its back against me and started scratching the wall.

Kiiiikk-! Kiiiik-!

??

*********

The Black Reaper transformed itself into a long blade and cut the spider web made of sharp ice.

Spiders made of ice had appeared between the trees rooted in the clouds and were trying to take the lives of the Black Reaper and the girl.

Mom!

The Black Reaper kept desperately calling out to its mother, but it will seemed to be blocked by something and could not reach her.

Even Though each spider was weaker than the Reaper, there were too many of them to fight while protecting the attached human.

Cough-!

A cough that sounded painful.

The precious human is in pain!

Negative emotions were seeping out from the attached human.

Countless emotions were triggered by the pain.

When it killed the traitor, it had eaten it without thinking, but the Black Reaper was trying hard to avoid negative emotions.

After all, its mother hated it.

But now there was nothing it could do.

The number of spiders continued to increase, and the girl was close to her limit.

When the Black Reaper decided to eat the pain coming out from the girl, its appearance started to change.

Long arms and legs that seemed like it was melting.

Sharp teeth and ominous eyes.

And firewood that turned white.

The familiar power began to surge endlessly inside the Black Reaper’s body.

With this power, I can protect the precious human!

Just as the Black Reaper was about to stretch its long arms and eat the spiders, a voice appeared from its back.

“No. Don’t do that because of me.”

She couldn’t even open her eyes properly, and she probably didn’t know what was going on. But even as she was talking nonsense, the voice seemed to be directed at the Black Reaper.

At the desperate words of the precious human, the Black Reaper returned to its Mini Reaper form.

Biiii-!

If it didn’t do it, the attached human would die. Yet, the girl just looked at the Black Reaper with blurry eyes, smiled, and closed her eyes again.

Her breathing became weaker and weaker.

In the end, the Black Reaper strengthened its will for the precious human and began to suck out the pain again.

The Black Reaper, who had regained its old god form, swung its long arms and grabbed a spider.

It then pulled out a part of itself that looked like a vein and embedded it into the spider’s body.

Pain.

As the writhing black veins began to eat away at the spider’s body, the spider began to writhe in pain.

Kieeeekkkkk-!

The spiders were made of ice and did not look like living creatures, but when the black veins dug into them, they screamed in pain. The spiders that had been writhing like that for a long time soon lost their lives.

And when the Black Reaper’s ominous eyes scanned the spiders, the spiders could not help but feel endless fear.

Crackle-!

Then, the white flames on the Black Reaper’s chest began to burn even brighter.

Fear.

Every time the spiders writhe in pain.

Every time the spiders were terrified.

Every time the spiders fell into despair.

The Black Reaper’s flames became whiter and larger, and the Black Reaper’s size also began to grow.
