Chapter 363 Remember Me Forever
Chapter 363: Chapter 363 Remember Me Forever
Ellen was lying on the hospital bed.
She had been given a detoxification shot, which had cleared her up a lot.
Officers from the police station came to make a statement. After recording, they submitted Ellen’s test report given by the doctor.
The report stated that there was residue in her stomach, and she was affected by hallucinogenic drugs.
Ellen scanned the report until she saw the words "no physical damage was done".
She was only relaxed after seeing that.
Apart from being under the influence of drugs, she did not suffer any physical damage, but she had not regained all her strength and needed to be kept in the hospital for observation for 24 hours.
After the others left, Ellen struggled to get out of bed and went to the bathroom.
Her own pale, feeble face in the mirror frightened her.
On her fair neck, there was a very obvious purple-red hickey...
It was exceptionally eye-catching!
Ellen turned on the hot water tap, took a towel, and wiped it non-stop mechanically.
Yet she found it useless.
Her neck was getting redder and redder, and the hickey was getting more and more obvious...
The hickey wouldn’t go away. Looking at it, Ellen felt utterly dejected.
She found it hard to continue to collect herself. Countless kinds of emotions were overwhelming her, making her on the verge of collapsing.
Her hand that was holding the towel trembled slightly, and she slammed the towel on the mirror.
The hot water splashed onto her face, making her eyes wet.
The tap was turned to maximum. Looking at the hot water flow, Ellen was in a daze. She extended her right hand into the hot water.
Soon, her hand was burned to a bloody red.
She was like a machine that couldn’t feel any pain. She gawked at her hand, which was almost burned.
Suddenly, the bathroom door was pushed open with a crash.
Jamie’s tall figure appeared at the door.
He saw her standing in front of the mirror like a broken toy, not knowing to retract her hand that was about to be burned.
In a split second, his expression turned cold. He rushed in, grabbed her hand, and angrily scolded, "Are you crazy or what?"
His touch made Ellen snap back to her senses.
She wanted to shake him off violently, but she failed. She bumped herself into the sink hard.
Jamie frowned, and the nervousness on his face was utterly obvious. He hastily approached her to check if she was hurt.
Before he touched her, she was like a wary cat with her eyes vigilant. She coldly said, "Piss off!"
Then, despite his attempts, she turned on the hot water tap again to rinse her right hand.
Jamie’s gaze was cold. He grabbed her hand and turned the cold water on.
Then he pressed her hand in the sink to rinse it with cold water.
Ellen looked at his taut jaw and gritted her teeth. "Jamie, don’t you understand? I find it filthy because it touched you!"
"Filthy?"
Jamie was finally pissed off. He pulled her into his arms from behind and pinched her chin with his right hand, forcing her to raise her head and look at their intertwined figures in the mirror.
"Take a good look at it. Are you seeing this clearly? You are now in my arms, and I am the one who changed your clothes. Are you disgusted by yourself?"
His eyes were gloomy, ruthless, and ghastly cold.
He said word by word, "If so, do you want to kill me or yourself?"
Ellen’s eyes were bloodshot, and she couldn’t move at all being confined by him tightly.
She was covered with goosebumps and hated the intrusion of his breath.
After her anger reached its peak, it went out of control.
She tilted her head and bit hard on his firm arm. The sound of teeth piercing through flesh was very clear.
Jamie did not dodge or move at all. He stood up straight and let her bite him until she lost her strength.
Blood soaked his newly changed shirt, making him look even more fierce.
It seemed that he was suppressing his anger, or maybe he was sneering coldly, "You just love wasting your time doing useless things, don’t you?"
Ellen’s hospital gown, wet with water, clung to her body, showing her delicate curves.
Her pale face added to her sense of fragile beauty.
Her shoulders trembled violently as she said, "Jamie, you pervert. You psycho! Get lost! Stop making me sick. OK?"
She was about to collapse. Looking at her expression, Jamie felt his chest tight. The feeling of oppression was accumulating in his heart, and he had no way to vent it.
He was so angry that he actually smiled.
He said in a deep voice, "Do you remember the first time we made love?
"You always thought that you bumped into me and then asked me to be with you, didn’t you?
"You’re wrong. I met you first.
"In freshman year, I caught a glimpse of you as you and your boyfriend at the time sat next to me in an elective class, making out.
"Right away, I wanted to fuck you."
Ellen gritted her teeth as she listened to Jamie tell her the story he had never told her.
"Your boyfriend at the time broke up with you out of the blue. Didn’t he?
"That’s because I went to his dad, and I gave him 160 thousand dollars to take his son and get out of New York.
"Later, I became the president of the student union only to entice you to pursue me."
Jamie curled up his thin lips slightly as he wiped Ellen’s wet eyelashes with his thumb.
Then he continued, "You were right to call me a psycho because the side I showed you at first was fake.
"I’ve always been a very controlling person. I was afraid you’d run away, so I lured you in so I could control you.
"I designed everything."
It was just that a lot of accidents happened later.
He thought, the fall of my family along with the subsequent misunderstandings drove me mad.
Only one thing has remained the same from beginning to end.
There’s not a second that I don’t love you, Ellen.
It’s just that hatred blinds my love for you.
Till now, both you and I have lost, and there is no turning back.
Yet so what?
I’ve made up my mind. You are mine. You are the love of my life.
Therefore, no matter what it takes, I’ll keep you next to me at all costs.
Ellen’s eyelashes trembled, as if she found his words utterly absurd.
She curved up her rosy lips and was so furious that she smiled. She said, "Jamie, it seems to me that I can already see you end up tragically."
The room was deathly silent.
They were two people who were alive, but it seemed that neither of their hearts was beating.
Jamie stared at Ellen’s quivering lips, his eyes becoming more and more fierce and presumptuous.
Without any hesitation, he grabbed Ellen by the waist and carried her onto the sink.
Then he pinched her cheek with his palm and lowered his head to kiss her.
A strong sense of being violated overwhelmed Ellen. She pushed him with both hands.
She had no intention of cooperating with him at all. Therefore, the kiss was no longer romantic or tender. Instead, the atmosphere turned bloody.
One of them wanted to control the other, while the latter resisted violently. What was happening was no different from a fight.
Ellen refused to open her mouth, stimulating Jamie to suck at her lips more randomly and fiercely.
He bit her tender lips, and they bled. However, he still didn’t stop.
There was blood between their lips. Maybe it was hers, or maybe it was his.
An ordinary smooch turned into a bloody entanglement.
Finally, Ellen couldn’t control herself anymore. A drop of her salty tear fell and burned his thin lips.
Jamie froze. He let go of her, overbearing the unrelenting desire in his body.
"Thwack!"
The moment he let go, she slapped his cold side face hard.
The sound was crisp and loud.
Ellen felt her palm turn numb.
She used all her strength to slap him.
The corner of Jamie’s mouth was covered in blood, and his eyes were also reddish.
He used the tip of his tongue to touch the corner of his lip and licked away the blood, staring at Ellen with dangerous and unbridled eyes for a few seconds.
He lowered his head abruptly and kissed the track of her tear with his thin, defined lips.
Ellen was surprised, figuring that he was mad and bold enough to kiss her again. Her clear eyes suddenly glowed, and she raised her hand. Yet he grabbed it easily.
His handsome face was still red and swollen, while the corners of his lips curled up in a wild and unruly manner.
"One slap, one kiss. By the time you slap me ten times..."
He grabbed her hand and used it to draw circles on the hickey of her collarbone, sneering in a low voice.
"I’ll fuck you!"
Ellen’s pupils dilated in an instant, and then she slowly calmed down.
When anger accumulated to a certain extent, the self-protective mode of human bodies would be activated automatically to suppress excessive emotions.
Ellen felt that it would be a waste to show any emotion in response to his words.
She closed her eyes and said in a hollow tone, "Jamie, people are dying every minute. Why can’t it be you?"
He smiled silently and then stared at her without blinking. He replied, "Remember my words. You will always be mine. Even if I die, I’ll still make sure you remember me forever."
After that, Jamie carried her back to the bed, went out to get the burn cream, and then came back.
When applying the cream for her, he said coldly, "Did you think I would be soft-hearted and let go of you after you did such a stupid thing?"
He thought, the answer is no. Since it’s not going to work out between us, I will do whatever it takes to keep you with me.
The earlier struggle took too much out of Ellen.
It made her so exhausted that she didn’t even want to speak now.
She stared blankly out the window and said in an emotionless voice, "I’m tired. Can you get lost?"
Jamie’s fingers paused, and he stared at her face. Eventually, he did not say anything. He turned around and left.
Ellen stopped acting tough and fell asleep.
In the middle of the night, she felt thirsty and couldn’t sleep.
Suddenly, she felt someone holding her back, stuffing a pillow under her head and feeding her warm water.
Her throat, after that, was moist and comfy.
Ellen felt that someone was gently wiping the corners of her mouth with a handkerchief very gently.
She was still a little drowsy and struggled to open her eyes. She slowly recognized the man’s face.
"Kenyon?"
Ellen was surprised that he showed up in front of her bed in the middle of the night.
They hadn’t seen each other or even talked to each other since the last time at the hotel.
"Yes," Kenyon replied without any expression.
Then he skillfully pulled out the pillow and let her lie down comfortably.
Ellen felt her palms lighter, and her hands fell into Kenyon’s palm.
She looked sideways slightly. Kenyon was removing her gauze and applying the cream for her burns.
Her burns weren’t serious. The doctor told her to apply it five times in twenty-four hours, which would do the trick.
Yet she forgot about it since she fell asleep.
Kenyon’s shirt sleeves were rolled up to reveal a small section of his lean and powerful arms, which should be the result of long-term exercise. The forearm muscles were slightly taut, very sexy, and good-looking.
He did not mind the sticky cream at all. He professionally massaged Ellen’s hands softly to make them absorb the cream better.
Ellen looked at his good-looking fingers that were repeating the same motions softly.
She suddenly felt both bitter and warm.
She retracted her line of sight and no longer looked at their hands. Instead, she looked at the pole next to the bed and asked, "Why are you here?"
Kenyon said, "My former colleague informed me."
Seeing that Ellen was puzzled, he explained.
"I asked my former colleagues to let me know whenever they see a patient registering as Ellen Robbins, just in case something happens and you can’t contact me."
Suddenly, Ellen couldn’t tell the feelings she was having. She felt the urge to burst into tears.
The bitterness was greater than the warmth, and she could hardly control her tears from falling.
She thought, this is who Kenyon is. He is always open and poised. He never holds back.
Nothing matters to him besides Bobby and I...
Ellen’s hands were already wrapped in breathable gauze, but Kenyon still held them in his hands.
She felt a little awkward and pulled back her hand, saying, "I’m fine. You may go back."
"Go to sleep. I won’t disturb you," Kenyon insisted.
Ellen was not stupid. Of course, she knew that Kenyon had feelings for her.
However, she didn’t think he loved her.
In her eyes, the reason why Kenyon felt this way about her was that she had been an amazing part of his life.
Her father’s support further contributed to his gratitude.
Most of the things he did were out of gratitude, yet she found it improper to accept them with a clear conscience.
By doing so, it would be unfair to Kenyon.
So, she was relieved that they hadn’t been in touch since the last time at the hotel.
She didn’t deserve his affection.
She figured that it might not be a bad thing if he could realize what was the right thing to do.
Unfortunately, it was clear now that he hadn’t.
Ellen closed her eyes and said ruthlessly, "Kenyon, I don’t need you."
Kenyon’s body stiffened for a second, and then he quickly returned to normal. "I am aware of that. I need you."
There was a hint of sadness in his voice.
Ellen felt her heart ache, as if there was a huge stone pressing down on her, and she could hardly breathe.
Such a kind of suffocation made her hands tremble violently.
She slipped her hands under the covers, hesitated for a few seconds, and then gritted her teeth.
She said, "Kenyon, don’t you understand? I mean I don’t need you in my life."
The air froze in an instant.
Kenyon was stunned for a few minutes, and then he came back to his senses.
The first thing he said was, "Ellen, did I do something wrong?"
He began to recall every detail and movement he had made since entering the room, anything he had done wrong.
He thought, is she upset because of the name thing? She doesn’t want me to be informed?
"I was a little rude about the name thing. But I’m worried about you a lot. You don’t have a family in New York. I’m afraid that if something happens, they won’t be able to be informed in time."
Kenyon explained seriously, but it made Ellen’s heart hurt even more.
The pricking sensation was suffocating her.
She gritted her teeth and said, "It’s not that. It’s just that I’m not used to having people in my life anymore. I hate your concern. You know what? Sometimes your presence annoys me."
The first step was always difficult.
After blurting out the harshest words, the rest would only be easier.
Ellen bit her lip. "Also, the nanny will take care of Bobby from now on. She used to look after him in the past anyway. In addition, getting a suitable match takes time. You have your own business, so I won’t trouble you anymore."
When Bobby was born, Ellen hired someone pregnant who lived locally to take care of Bobby together.
Later, until Bobby turned one year old, Ellen forced herself to decisively detach herself from Bobby’s life and leave him to a nanny she trusted.
Kenyon was always there. At that time, he was studying at school.
Once after that, Bobby suddenly had a relapse, so Kenyon proposed to live with Bobby so that he could keep an eye on Bobby.
Gradually, Bobby had become dependent on Kenyon, and he had been living with the nanny and Kenyon until now.
"Bobby has never been a burden for me."
Kenyon suddenly opened his mouth. His voice was not exactly low, and it sounded like he was angry.
But soon, he suppressed his anger and said humbly.
"Ellen, I will make a change regarding everything you just said. If my appearance bothers you, I’ll try to be around as little as possible..."
"Stop."
Ellen’s eyes were red, and her hands were trembling under the quilt. She was afraid that her tears would fall the next second.
"Forget you’ve ever met me.
"Kenyon, we are not from the same world, to begin with."
