Chapter 154: Chapter 154 He Shines Brighter Than the Sun
Electrolyte Water certainly quenched thirst better than ordinary mineral water. After drinking half a cup, Shen Weiyi immediately felt her thirst relieved.
Seeing Sheng Ting still standing, Shen Weiyi asked, "Aren’t you having classes this morning?" What she really wanted to ask was, isn’t he leaving?
"Mhm, I had two morning classes for my major, which have ended already."
Sheng Ting glanced at her, then checked the time and said, "In half an hour, your military training should end. Let’s have lunch together, I’ll wait for you."
Shen Weiyi thought for a moment and said, "That’s fine, I’ll treat you, as a thank you for bringing me water. But you don’t have to wait here for me, we can meet at the cafeteria later."
"No problem!" Sheng Ting said. "Some sunlight is good for metabolism and detoxifying the body."
Just then, the assembly whistle sounded, and whatever else Shen Weiyi wanted to say had to be abandoned. She handed the half-drunk water to Sheng Ting and said, "Hold this for me."
"Sure!" Sheng Ting’s lips curved into a slight smile.
Very light.
But Shen Weiyi was still dazzled by his smile, her mind going blank for a moment. She felt she had been wrong before; even if one has seen much beauty, they could still be easily enchanted by the person before them.
The whistle of the instructor sounded again in her ear, and Shen Weiyi couldn’t afford to be cluttered with those random thoughts anymore, hurrying back to the formation.
The appearance of Sheng Ting had already drawn quite a bit of attention; now that he was still standing in the same spot, people cast inquisitive glances toward him.
Even while standing at attention, their eyes unconsciously drifted in his direction.
Surrounded by students in camouflage uniforms, Sheng Ting stood out strikingly in his white shirt and black pants. Furthermore, with his exceptional looks, he easily became the most conspicuous presence on the field.
"Is he good-looking?" a voice from the devilish instructor reached their ears.
"Yes!" the girls nodded unconsciously.
"Since he is so good-looking, why not let him stand in front to give you all a good view?"
Before the crowd could react, the instructor said, "Everyone, right face!"
Originally, they were all standing sideways to the sun; now, everybody was facing the sun.
"Everyone watch closely, watch well. Whoever blinks is staying for an extra hour of training this afternoon."
A wave of groans echoed below.
Shen Weiyi was originally at the end of the line; when she turned around, she found herself facing Sheng Ting directly.
Their eyes met.
The noonday sunlight was fervent and glaring. Yet the figure within it was more dazzling than the sunlight itself.
The young man’s features were as sharp as ink strokes, his presence clear and distinctive, stunning time itself and tenderly softening the years.
Even years later, the female psychology students still remembered that noon. Standing straight on the field, beads of sweat sliding from their eyes to their chins, none of them willing to look away.
Sheng Ting had likely not expected the instructor to do such a thing. Realizing he may have caused a disturbance to the training, his brows faintly furrowed. He then took out his phone, sent a text message while glancing at Shen Weiyi, and promptly left.
Shen Weiyi was keenly aware and promptly checked her phone after the training ended. Sure enough, she found the message from Sheng Ting telling her he was waiting for her at the cafeteria.
Shen Weiyi put away her phone and turned to Yan Xiaoyue and Fang Jing, "I’ve arranged to have lunch with Senior Sheng; do you two want to join us?"
"Would it be inconvenient?"
Although the beauty was tempting, they did not want to be third wheels.
