Chapter 137: Chapter 137: She Agreed in the Heat of the Moment
The person simply wanted to know if it was possible to buy the product through a personal shopper?
Of course, the answer was no.
Because designers of such brands are especially protective of their intellectual property. Once they find counterfeits, they will invariably pursue the matter to the end, and by then, that group would likely be out of business.
It wasn’t worth destroying one’s career over a single piece of clothing.
Moreover, if a dress that others couldn’t purchase despite heavy spending and queuing was available in a small personal shopper’s group, who would believe that? Wouldn’t that just be a clear indication that the group was selling counterfeits?
While anyone with a bit of sense would realize that something sold so cheaply couldn’t be genuine, there were always quite a few fools in the world.
Qin Ruo then recalled her cousin’s words—this girl turned out to be from the Shen Family. Although the Shen Family didn’t acknowledge her, who could deny the capabilities of her father?
She had secretly looked it up online and found that Shen Technology, founded by Third Young Master Shen, had a total asset value that already exceeded the other industries of the Shen Family. The thought that all this wealth would eventually belong to this girl made her feel even sourer.
Shen Weiyi paid no mind to what she was thinking inside; she took the clothes she needed for changing and entered the bathroom.
After showering and coming out, she saw a message from Qin Zhen on her phone.
After the coming-of-age ceremony, Qin Zhen had been taken away by Lu He to tutor Shen Jingqi, and the two hadn’t seen each other for over half a month. Plus, she had made plans with Sheng Ting in the morning and was going to accompany Shen Tan in the afternoon, so she hadn’t yet had the chance to contact Qin Zhen.
Both had been admitted to Z University, but they were not in the same department; Qin Zhen was in the law department, and they lived in the same apartment building, although not on the same floor.
Shen Weiyi replied to the message and soon after, someone knocked on the dormitory door.
Yan Xiao Yue, who was closest to the entrance, was about to get up to open the door when she heard Shen Weiyi say, "I’ll go. It’s probably someone looking for me."
With her hair half-dried, she hurried to open the door and, surely enough, saw Qin Zhen standing there.
"Here, this is for you," he said, handing her a bag. "Shen Jingqi asked me to bring this for you. It’s from Lu Ying... his mom specially prepared it. We both got one each."
Shen Weiyi opened the bag to find a bunch of sunscreen sprays and several boxes of healing face masks—brands endorsed by Lu He herself.
As she often filmed outdoors, sunscreen was essential. Shen Weiyi usually used this particular brand herself. Knowing that they were about to undergo military training, she had her assistant prepare it, thinking they would definitely need it.
Being remembered by someone was a blessing.
Shen Weiyi smiled and said, "Okay, I’ll thank Sister Hehe personally later. But what about you and Shen Jingqi? It seems like you two have been getting along well recently?"
"What are you talking about? I’m only doing this because of his mom. Otherwise, I couldn’t be bothered to pay attention to him," Qin Zhen expressed in a tired tone.
After the coming-of-age ceremony, Lu He took the initiative to contact her to ask if she could tutor her son.
Qin Zhen hadn’t even recovered from the shock that her idol had secretly married and had a child, when she then learned that the child was Shen Jingqi.
Lu Yinhao asked her to tutor her son and to not disappoint her idol’s trust, Qin Zhen specifically took two days to create a study plan for him. Unfortunately, the guy wasn’t focused on studying at all.
Such a waste of her last half month.
When Lu Yinhao paid her for tutoring, Qin Zhen felt too ashamed to accept it, thinking she had let down her idol.
Instead, Lu Yinhao comforted her with a smile, saying that she knew her son’s temperament very well. She didn’t blame Qin Zhen at all, and if anything, felt that she had been put in a difficult position. She asked whether Qin Zhen would be willing to continue tutoring her son every weekend?
In a moment of impulse, she agreed.
