"Thank you!" After a pause, Shen Weiyi placed a piece of shrimp into her mouth.

It seemed like it would be even more awkward if she didn’t eat.

Sheng Ting curved the corner of his lips and continued silently peeling shrimp.

Next to them, Qin Zhen and Shen Jingqi exchanged a knowing look.

Damn, they felt so jealous!

As Jiang Zhiyi and his two companions approached, they just happened to see Sheng Ting placing another piece of peeled shrimp onto the plate in front of Shen Weiyi, his face turning extremely ugly in an instant.

Gu Xun and Li Yue both felt the cold aura emanating from each other.

Jiang Zhiyi clenched his fists, wanting to step forward, but Gu Xun quickly grabbed him and said, "Brother Yi, let’s sit here."

The barbecue stalls here all had rectangular tables, perfect for seating six people each. Even if he went over now, there would be no seat for him. Moreover, with the way he looked as if he was out to settle scores, going over would only make things more strained.

Shen Weiyi had noticed the moment the three of them arrived and that they were seated at the table next to hers, yet she deliberately never looked back. However, whatever she bit into next seemed to lose its flavor, and she could not even remember what she had eaten that evening.

The group finished eating and prepared to return to the villa.

Suddenly, Jiang Zhiyi stood up from his seat and strode over to Shen Weiyi, "I have something to say to you."

Shen Weiyi glanced at him and then back at the others, "You guys go back first!"

Sheng Ting’s gaze fell on her face, then, after a moment, he silently withdrew it and left with the others.

Jiang Zhiyi, facing Shen Weiyi, began with a voice filled with jealousy, "Who was that man just now?"

"What do you want to say?" Shen Weiyi looked up to meet his gaze.

The last time she had bumped into Shen Jingqi at the staircase, he had questioned her in the same way.

For a moment, Jiang Zhiyi choked up, then with a flushed face said, "I just saw him peeling shrimp for you." And she had eaten it.

Did it mean that their relationship had grown very close?

"So what?" Shen Weiyi asked calmly.

"Do you... "do you like someone else?"

Jiang Zhiyi opened his mouth but held back those last few words, lacking the courage to ask.

He didn’t dare to ask; he was afraid!

He feared that if the answer was ’yes,’ there would really be no chance left between them.

After a moment of silence, Jiang Zhiyi finally spoke again, "Yao Yao, I really didn’t know Xu Chenxi would follow us here, and it wasn’t me who told her. Can you please not be mad at me because of her?" Could you, please not leave me?

"It has nothing to do with me; you don’t need to explain to me," Shen Weiyi said.

"Yao Yao," the young man’s voice was hoarse, the corners of his long, peach-shaped eyes reddening, as if showing a hint of grievance, "you once promised you would never leave me."

Shen Weiyi pursed her lips; she didn’t want to argue with him repeatedly over the same issue, and when she spoke again, her voice was noticeably colder, "Just treat it as if I’ve broken my promise then!"
