Chapter 330: Chapter 320 Scare (1st Update) Chapter 330: Chapter 320 Scare (1st Update) “Where is everybody!? Kid! Where did all the members of your guild go?”

Lady Calamity had just led her pirates to repel an attack by the Magic Thieves, only to see the entire Jumping Nuclei guild disappear into thin air after they captured one of the Magic Thieves…

Only Juan Canyun remained inside the ruins.

Juan Canyun did not answer Lady Calamity. After Jumping Nuclei captured the Magic Thief named Medes, they temporarily abandoned their assault on the Melted Black Ruins instance and all teleported back to town to gang up on that Magic Thief.

However, when Juan Canyun tried to use the Town Recall spell to return to town… he found that it was on cooldown, nearly ten minutes at that.

When did I use it?

Juan Canyun’s heart fell into anxiety, as he had become a crucial damage dealer in Jumping Nuclei’s raid group.

If he didn’t arrive in time for the instance, he would definitely be blamed by the members of his guild.

Juan Canyun did not like being blamed, so he thought of a genius solution: to kill himself to return to town!

“Didn’t you hear me talking?”

Lady Calamity didn’t like the feeling of being ignored either. As she approached Juan Canyun… Juan Canyun, under Lady Calamity’s gaze, turned the barrel of the gun towards his own chest.

In that moment, Lady Calamity realized something was wrong…

“What are you doing?” Lady Calamity quickened her pace toward Juan Canyun, but it was too late… Juan Canyun thrust his spear straight into his heart.

Normally, players can’t deal damage to themselves with skills, but the spear in Juan Canyun’s hand was called “Red Knight’s Spear of Doom.”

This spear had an effect called “Annihilation Blood,” which, when active, depleted one percent of his health every second, trading one percent of life for increased attack speed and armor penetration.

Juan Canyun had activated the Annihilation Blood effect, and to hasten its effect, he plunged the spear straight into his heart.

To Juan Canyun, this might have been just a free trip back to town, but to Lady Calamity it looked like the kid was contemplating suicide!

Lady Calamity had weathered many storms over the years, but this scene thoroughly frightened her.

“What on earth are you doing? Stop it this instant!”

Lady Calamity ran to Juan Canyun’s side. By that time, Juan Canyun had already kneeled over from critical health loss. Lady Calamity supported him but couldn’t stop his body from gradually turning translucent.

“Fetch a Healing Potion!” Lady Calamity immediately yelled at the confused pirates nearby.

“Which kind?” The pirates hadn’t caught on; they had many Healing Potions, and Lady Calamity hadn’t specified the exact name.

“The best one!” Lady Calamity shouted again.

But by the time her flustered pirates brought the potions, Juan Canyun, lying in Lady Calamity’s arms, had vanished… replaced by an ordinary tombstone inscribed with the letters R.I.P.

“To see you in such a panic, that’s really quite rare.” The group members, looking at the silent Lady Calamity, panicked first.

“My lady, after all, he will resurrect after dying as a Holy Spirit.”

But the moment the words of the group members fell, Juan Canyun’s tombstone shattered into debris and disappeared in front of Lady Calamity.

“Madam…”

“Continue the plundering operation.”

The Catastrophe Lady looked at the gravestone turned to dust in her hand, her expression unchanged. Members of the Nucleus had used Town Recall, but other passersby players and those from the Abyss Temple were still pioneering through the Melted Black Ruins.

“First, we’ll clean out this ruin, then ask those holy spirits what exactly happened!” the Catastrophe Lady said.

The Magic Thief Medes expended a great deal of energy to climb out of the deep pit. When he reached the top, he saw several familiar figures standing on the opposite side.

“Wenna, why have you also been captured by the holy spirits?”

Medes fixed his gaze on the three Magic Thieves opposite him in the pit, all comrades who had been guarding the Melted Black Ruins with him.

“I always thought you didn’t quite fit the role of a scout, it seems my intuition was right,” the female Magic Thief said with a shake of her head while looking at the scar on Medes’s chest.

After she finished speaking, she took a few steps back and leapt with ease toward the Gold Coin brick Medes had previously dislodged, preparing to use it as a stepping point to jump across the pit when…

Even Medes hadn’t anticipated that there would be a hidden brick at a higher level.

Accompanied by Medes’s woeful gaze, another gunshot rang out, and the female Magic Thief was sent to the bottom of the pit by a spring that shot out from who knows where.

Medes pulled out a pocket watch to check the time, and after approximately five minutes, the female Magic Thief named Wenna struggled to climb out of the pit.

“Do you see now why I was injured?” Medes asked, looking at Wenna, whose mouth and forehead were already covered in blood.

“What on earth is that brick?”

Wenna climbed out of the pit and took several deep breaths while removing the spikes that had embedded into her leg.

“Gold Coin brick. From now on, don’t touch anything…” Medes’s words were cut off as the Magic Thieves following Wenna, out of curiosity, pressed a brick with a question mark right next to them.

The moment the brick was pressed, the ground beneath Medes’s feet cracked and collapsed instantly.

Medes looked expressionlessly at the spike impaled in his chest once again and turned his gaze toward his other two companions.

“Having fun?” Medes asked.

“…”

“That question… you should ask the holy spirits!” Wenna said irritably as she pulled out the spike embedded in her and threw it away.

But the moment she removed the spike, the sound of pistons moving arose from within the walls. Medes sensed something and readied to use an Ice Master’s ability, but it was already too late. Lava burst forth and engulfed Medes.

As the agony of being burned by lava hit Medes, extreme cold burst from his palms, and the lava around him solidified under the sweeping blizzard.

“Wenna! Do me a favor… and make sure you and your colleagues don’t touch anything!”

Medes, looking at the burns on his arm from the lava, suppressed the pain from the burns and began to heal himself with Holy Light Magic.

This was lava blessed with Divine Power by the Devouring God… Being devoured by this stuff is not as simple as just having your flesh cooked.
