"He did what?" Rosalind could not hide her surprise in her voice upon hearing Belisarius's words.

"He took away the blessing that was given by the goddess and used it to revive your soul. In the end..." Belisarius uttered. "Blessings no longer exist in this continent."

"I— All of them?"

"All of them."

"The seven families?"

"Yes."

"Are they going to receive the blessing in the coming generations?" she asked.

"Who knows?" Belisarius asked.

"Then... then what of the beasts?" Rosalind asked.

"How would I know?"

Her jaws dropped.

"That demon was well known for his selfishness. Do you really think he... somehow thought about the humans that the seven families had been protecting when he did what he did?" Belisarius asked. He took some of the tea and drank it. "His greed knows no bounds."

Rosalind was left speechless for a few minutes. For a while, guilt filled her chest. "Does that mean, I would not be able to see him again?" she asked.

"You can see him in the barrier and in the dimension that he made. However, there is simply no way that he would be able to stay in this world again."

"What would happen if he reveals himself in this world?"

"Have you heard of a heavenly punishment?" Belisarius asked.

"I have... I have learned about this with the goddess's memories." In fact, there were people well known for trying to fight against the laws of the world, the laws of nature. They were called necromancers.

Necromancy was considered taboo for a reason. Those who dared to meddle with life and death would face the wrath of the heavens. Rosalind bit her lower lip as she wondered if she was even worth it.

"Is there a way to... be with him?" Rosalind asked.

"Be with him?" Belisarius arched an eyebrow as he stared at her. "You wanted to be with... him?"

"What if I do?" Rosalind bravely met his gaze.

"He is a demon. Even the nature of the world would no longer allow him to exist. And yet you... Why not choose to live your life this time? Be happy, enjoy your life, have kids, and... die with a satisfied smile on your face?" Belisarius asked.

"I would rather live in pain than live a life like that without him," Rosalind said without batting an eyelid.

"It seems that both of you were truly made for each other," Belisarius mumbled. "Foolish...." He got up and started walking away.

However, just as he was about to walk out of the tower, he stopped. "There is a way..." Belisarius said. "You can stay in his dimension... live with him. Forever."

"But?"

Belisarius turned around and studied her face. "That dimension is not a world. It had different laws and... in that place, you would not be able to have your own child."

Rosalind's eyes widened as she pursed her lips.

"Nothing in this world is free..." Belisarius said. "Everything has its own price. If you wanted to..." Belisarius then threw what looked like a circular token. "Simply think about it and... this token will take you to that dimension. He is there...

waiting for you. In that place, you will not age, you will not change, but you will not give birth to your own child. That is the price of being with him."

Rosalind opened her mouth and then closed it.

"If you are curious if you can visit the world that he was in, then the simple answer is no. I believe the world that he was talking about was the bridge between our world and... the other worlds. She got up and rushed back to the bedroom. After a while, she indeed found a letter under her pillow.

"Really?" Rosalind muttered. "Really Lucas?" she asked as she opened the letter.
