Rosie's Games
Chapter 513 513: A Storm

Meanwhile, Belisarius was not as peaceful as the current Rosalind and Lucas. He stared at the demons crawling out of the large portal. The eerie sounds that the demons made were enough to make anyone's skin crawl. However, this was the least of his concerns right now.

He stared at the ominous portal, his heart thumping loudly against his chest. When was the last time he had seen this kind of portal?

"Ena Thun…." He gritted his teeth. "Summoning the demons is a crime. Death is not enough punishment for doing this." He glanced at the woman standing not that far away from the portal. Right now, the woman was already surrounded by the demons, yet, strangely enough, the demons seemed to have ignored the woman's presence.

It was as if they had long treated Ena as their own.

As expected, Ena Thun did not say a word; until now, her appearance still looked a bit sluggish. It was as if she, too, was confused about what just happened. However, his eyes were not on Belisarius, but on the corpse that he carried. "Give it back," Ena uttered.

Belisarius had a complicated look on his face. Then, without any warning, the corpse in his hand disintegrated into ashes. Almost immediately, Ena Thun's face turned even darker. She glared at Belisarius. Lightning crackled in her fingers.

"The barrier will be broken soon…." Ena said, indifference coating her voice. "What was the use of struggling?" A sinister smile suddenly appeared on her face.

Belisarius donned a complicated look. He stared at Ena without uttering a word. The time for the barrier to break was almost there. However, they seemed to have underestimated the fact that Belisarius and the guardians still existed. This was but a trifling matter.

Since he had already found the demon and ended its life, he was able to destroy the plate that the demon used to create chaos down south. However, what he never expected was the fact that the demon would actually dare to use another blessed individual to try to summon another higher-ranking demon.

If Belisarius was right, the demon they were attempting to summon this time would have a rank higher than that of a Demon General. Belisarius was somewhat familiar with the method they used, so he was well aware that they needed someone with a stronger body to complete the summoning.

"You would regret this!" Ena hissed before she sent a bolt of lightning toward Belisarius.

However, Belisarius merely flicked a finger, and the lightning vanished. "Did you perhaps think something like this would be enough to scare me?" Belisarius frowned. "You are overestimating yourself…." Then he did not hesitate to retaliate. A ball of darkness appeared in his hand.

The ball immediately went straight to Ena's way. While she did her best to block it, Ena failed. The impact surprised Ena as she never thought that the man was capable of using something that the demon Maledrax used on her in the past! Was it possible that this white-haired man was another demon?

Ena, growing increasingly frustrated, unleashed a barrage of attacks. Bolts of lightning surged towards Belisarius. But he stood firm, deflecting and countering each assault with unmatched skill.

Just when it seemed Belisarius had gained the upper hand, ready to vanquish Ena and seal the portal once and for all, a thunderous boom echoed through the air, shattering the battle's equilibrium. A shockwave erupted, catapulting Belisarius away from the portal.

He tried to regain his balance, confusion in his eyes. What had just happened?

As the dust and debris settled from the explosion, Belisarius struggled to his feet. His eyes widened as he stared at the aftermath of the explosion—a massive crater now marred the ground where the portal had once been.

What he saw truly surprised him. The portal… the portal is slowly becoming smaller? He immediately tried to find Ena Thun and the demon yet he failed to find even a shadow of their hair!

Belisarius's eyes flickered. He straightened his back, and he too disappeared from where the fight happened earlier.

SLORYN EMPIRE

Out in the vast seas of the Sloryn Empire, something very unsettling started happening. The usually clear skies suddenly changed, and it looked like a big storm was coming. Dark, heavy clouds gathered and covered the sun, making everything feel eerie and dim.

The gentle winds that usually touched the ocean's surface became strong and seemed to be warning of something dangerous. The air felt weird, making sailors and people who lived by the coast uneasy.

Soon enough, the clouds started rolling and swirling. A loud thunder boomed, shaking the skies with its might.

"Is it a storm?" a knight frowned. He was standing by the beautiful coast of Sloryn.

"Young man, how could you be afraid of something like that?" a middle-aged man snorted. "Storms are considered normal in the seas…" The man smelled of alcohol and women as he sauntered towards his ship nearby, ignoring the ugly expression of the knight.

Seeing this, the knight did not move. He ignored the man's remarks as he stared at the storm. He was well aware that storms always happened in the seas, but… a part of him knew that something was amiss with this cloud.

Then he saw it….

In the far distance, something strange appeared on the horizon.

"What is that?" he asked himself. The hole that he could see looked small, but he was certain this was because it was too far from where he was standing. "Sound the bell!" he shouted at the nearby knight. "Sound the bell!" Despite the fact that he was not yet certain about the origin of this black object from afar, he did not want to risk anything.

He knew how treacherous the seas were. How could he ignore something that appeared out of nowhere?

Not long after, the bells started ringing.

Three tolls.

This means that danger had been spotted, signaling the citizens to go back to their houses and lock their doors.

This was not actually the first time that the bell tolled, as many beasts could sometimes be spotted from the waters. Because of this, not many people thought it would be something dangerous this time. They simply continued walking around, confident that the soldiers would soon deal with it.

They were wrong…
