Chapter 96: Bloodline hybrid system
As he arrived back at dawnless, he already had a list of what to do.
His plan wasn’t only to strengthen the organization’s base strength, but also to foster his own growth. More specifically, his techniques.
Including the Flow, which he hadn’t even begun, there were also the techniques themselves. As he began pulling out his plants and putting them aside, he thought about them.
The first was the Aging Reversal technique. He was beginning to understand why the clan that sold it off despised the technique and degraded it to one they all used to appear young.
Changing one’s face was easy; all one had to do was shift the facial muscles. However, altering the atmosphere, which was the true aging technique, was only possible at a saint level because it was akin to time manipulation, just like the Astra family. And unfortunately, not everyone could reach that level.
Then there was Decay. Nobody truly believed decaying could actually go so far; hell, their ancestor didn’t even create a single technique for it. He, too, hadn’t been able to, but thanks to the Silent Staff, he was able to form Withering Touch and Withering Rain. Given that even the cultivation technique was vague for that matter, he had a hard time, and that was thanks to Eye.
The main point was, Decay was a grandmaster technique, meaning 7th or 8th star, and he planned to form techniques using Decay. For example, his Withering Touch could be the first technique or form, and like that, he would make the rest. What he needs are techniques he could use to fight.
The second was his Absolute Cut and Destruction. This was purely a saint-level technique, and to be more specific, a 10th-star technique. This technique had six forms: Cleave, Burst, Tear, Fall, Final Cut, and Final Destruction. It was the names from the last two that helped in forming the name.
After grading the techniques he currently used in stars, he had to stop using them because, from what he understood, he wasn’t using them well at all. Cleave was normally meant to come with a heavy pressure descending, and Burst was normally meant to lock a person in space and attack, but the way he had been using them was way off.
But he couldn’t just give up on them. He already had it in his core among his cultivation, so he couldn’t just ignore it.
So, using the will from the core, he wanted to form techniques that would fit him, just like he wanted for Decay.
Finally, there was the Soul Energy. It was too small to do anything; however, he still had the Ascendance Over Mortality, which directed him on how to utilize it. So, there was still hope somewhere.
But the tattoo had to come first.
"Eye, give me an average talentless body." A naked body materialized before him. It highlighted its weaknesses, like weak bones to withstand pressure, smaller pathways around the body, inability to sense energy like any other person in the air, and things like that.
He then drew blood from the lightning dragon he had taken from the Tyrell family. "Eye, copy this blood’s properties and inscribe the barbarian tattoo on it."
Along with his order, a tattoo was being carved from its navel, shimmering with blood; however, before it even went further, the figure crumbled.
"Eye, what happened?"
[BODY UNABLE TO WITHSTAND HIGH-LEVEL BLOODLINE]
"High-level?" Baines thought for a moment. "Hm, what of this?" He drew blood from the smallest red dragon Wick killed and inscribed it.
This time, it struggled along the way; however, before it finished, it still crumbled.
"Even the smallest dragon can’t work?" He frowned at the situation. It was palpable that an average, untalented person wasn’t able to withstand even the talent of the weakest dragon.
He had to settle and look at the situation in steps: "Alright, there are three areas in this: the blood, the talentless body, and the tattoo. I can’t dilute the blood, hence it turns useless, but can i do something about the body’s condition?"
[YES, IMPLANTING A DRAGON HEART, RESTRUCTURING BONES AND MUSCLES COULD CHANGE THE TALENT OF ANY PERSON]
"Not possible." Baines shook his head immediately. How many members were in the organization, and how many would he get in the future? Giving each member a dragon heart was just impossible, and restructuring bone structure required the level of magic Wick used to heal him.
"How about the tattoo? Display it for me."
Eye expanded on the tattoo. As someone who understood the tattoo inscription and a bit about blood, he knew this tattoo wasn’t just for the looks of it.
This tattoo connected the blood of the dead to the vital parts of the body. "And all of it leads to the heart." Since the heart was the main organ for any person, it wasn’t strange.
But why wasn’t it working? That was the question. He stared at the tattoo for a long time.
"Eye, give me the talentless figure again." As it materialized, he moved his fingers. "What if I change this tattoo?" Then the tattoo formed into a single line, like a single long thread.
And he molded the tattoo from scratch. "First, the thread should begin from the heart..." From the heart, he branched the thread out. The lungs, bones, blood, muscles, and even the brain, he used the thread to spread them out, then from those branches, they all went to the core at the middle region, then returned back to the heart, for repetition of the process.
The figure slowly spun around. It currently looked like a new nervous system was being added to the body.
"Eye, now." He watched intensely as Eye began to pass the blood from the heart. However, some parts began bulging, about to explode from intensity, but before they could get overwhelmed by the blood, he quickly branched the tattoo out, leading the blood to other parts.
After another hour of branching out to several parts in the system, the blood flowed again, leading back to the heart. As it all returned to the heart, the figure shone a bright light for twenty good minutes.
As it dimmed, he could see the new structure; the flaws Eye had placed beside the body of the non-talented began disappearing. The blood made the whole body structure tougher and better.
Baines was quite surprised seeing the result as he asked, "Eye, what did I just create?"
[A BODY SYSTEM THAT ACCEPTS BLOODLINES FROM OTHERS]
"A body system?" Like the skeletal system, nervous system, he had just created his own.
"Hmm, but there are still flaws, right?"
[CORRECT. THE POTENTIAL OF THE SAID BLOODLINE IS THE LIMIT OF THE USER.
"Right, that can’t be changed. Let’s name it the Bloodline Hybrid System." He nodded in satisfaction.
This bloodline system had a lot of potential. Just imagine tethering the blood of a god or demon.
"I think I’m done with that one." After this, the rest was just easy.
He felt like developing his Soul energy was for this purpose. If he imbued his Blood Energy with his Soul Energy, not only would his perception of things increase, but he could see the potency of bloodlines. Meaning, he could give appropriate bloodlines to each talent.
He got up from the workspace and went toward the meditation platform.
It was time for him to break through.

At the same time, in Darkan,
Knock... Knock
"Yes," Darkan’s Head replied at the knock on his door.
"Sir, the young lady of the Lindell family wishes to meet you."
