Rise of the Harem King -
Chapter 133: Fallen noble
Chapter 133: Fallen noble
Alexia stared with murderous eyes at Luis.
A whirlwind of emotions surged through her body, so overwhelming that she couldn’t even put names to them all.
"What are you doing here?" The spoiled rich boy asked with a sneer. "Did you come to beg me to take you back? If you betray your team and help me in this round, I might consider it." He said with a forced arrogance, trying to hide his true emotions.
Alexia scoffed at his words, glancing at his group. Luis’s standing in the family had taken a nosedive after Amanda’s arrest.
Truthfully, he hadn’t been in a good position since the humiliation he suffered during the S-rank test. Most of his servants had abandoned him.
Because of that, he’d barely managed to scrape together a team for this tournament. Zack’s group might’ve even been stronger than his at this point. And Alexia knew exactly how dire the boy’s finances had become after she left.
She had always managed investments, ensuring her master’s influence expanded. She also handled regular meetings with influential figures and allied clans close to the Belforts.
Without her, Luis quickly became isolated, and the humiliation of almost being eliminated in the rank S test only made things worse.
Besides, no one wanted to work for a man that treated his most loyal and competent subject with disdain. The way he treated Alexia was inaceptable, even money couldn’t erase it.
And, because of all of that, he was left with no one competent enough to manage his affairs. That’s why he was desperate to get Alexia back. But his pride would never let him admit it out loud.
Pathetic.
A man who couldn’t accomplish anything without the servant he’d never truly respected.
"How long are you going to keep up this useless prideful act?" Alexia laughed derisively. "Everyone knows you’ve fallen apart since I left. I’m not even sure you’re still worthy of the Belfort name."
She had a mocking smile as she stepped forward, seeming completely unintimidated by the five students surrounding the blond rich boy.
"You only bring disgrace to your family name," Alexia said.
Immediately, she could see the veins bulge on the boy’s forehead, he was truly furious upon hearing those words. His entire body trembled with an inexplicable rage.
Alexia knew her former master better than anyone. She knew all of his flaws and qualities. And she also knew all of his insecurities.
She was well aware that he had always feared being a failure, unworthy of his family. He tried to hide it with pride, but the truth was, he was weak and pathetic.
He had always known he was far behind Sophia. The envy and feeling of inferiority tormented him, and it was probably even worse now, watching the blonde’s rise.
"Shut up!" he shouted, desperate.
"Okay, but no matter what you do, you’ll never catch up to Sophia. I worked with her for two weeks in that hell, and I can say she’s ahead of everyone, except Davi." She smiled provocatively.
"Davi?" he repeated, he naturally remembered the name of that man from the last rank S test.. "You mean that guy? The one who stole Lara from me?"
"The one who saved Lara from you? Yes, I see you’re quite misinformed," Alexia looked at him with disdain. "Davi is my new master now," she finally said.
Hearing that made Luis’s rage boil even hotter. He simply couldn’t accept being humiliated like that by that woman.
"I’ll destroy your new master!" he barked an empty threat.
"I’d love to see you try," Alexia said, drawing her blade. "You won’t even get past me today."
She locked down at the fat blonde beside her with murderous eyes, ready to take him and his entire team out by herself. And she had the power to do so.
"Kyros, now!" Luis barked in frustration, activating his abilities to power up his knight.
At the same time, the other team members stepped into position, ready to fight at any moment.
Kyros was the only one who still remained at Luis’s side after everything. A loyal man whose only purpose, and only real skill, was being an excellent fighter.
As always, his body was covered in heavy, high-quality armor, and he wielded his sword with precision. In the past, Alexia had seen him as her greatest rival, but ever since she met Davi, she had surpassed him by a wide margin, all thanks to the skill he had granted her.
So, somewhat recklessly, the girl activated, and immediately felt everything around her shift. Her senses sharpened, the world seemed to slow down, and her enemies’ movements became pathetically slow before her eyes.
In an instant, her eyes scanned the environment, identifying every threat. Among the arrogant blond’s allies, one stood out for his fragility, an archer, the weakest of the group.
Without hesitation, Alexia acted.
Her feet propelled her body in a nearly imperceptible movement, an explosion of speed that left only a trail of cutting wind. The archer barely had time to perceive the threat before she was already before him.
His bow trembled in his hands, his eyes widened, but it was too late.
Alexia’s blade crossed the air like a silver lightning bolt, and before any of the others reacted, the archer was already falling to his knees, defeated before even understanding what had happened.
Intense pain spread through his body, and all his muscles ached. Perhaps he could still get up when healed by Luis, but the man had already suffered enough.
"I give up," he murmured, and just like in the Rank S test, everyone had received the coin that would automatically send them to the infirmary when they no longer wished to fight.
She would not allow those insignificant weaklings to interfere in her duel with Kyros.
Now, only three small fries remained In that battlefield .
Naturally, Kyros wouldn’t just stand by and watch the swordswoman eliminate his entire team. So, the moment she finished defeating the archer, he seized the opening she left and swung his sword with perfect precision, aiming to cut her down.
However that was useless, as the blade just pierced through the body of the girl. It was almost like he had pierced through the air. And, in an instant, Alexia had already disappeared from his field of vision.
That was truly an imposing and scary power.
But Kyros was a very smart warrior, and in an instant he seemed to notice the nature of his opponent, because the next thing he tried was to put all of his mana in the blade, turning his fiscal attacks into magical ones.
But he was too slow, at that point the girl was already advancing in a crazy fast speed to the second opponent she would easily defeat.
This time she attacked a burly man named Baruk, who wielded a huge war hammer that looked like it weighed a ton. His muscles were tense, and beads of sweat dripped from his forehead as he watched the events unfold. He wasn’t as agile as Kyros, but his brute strength was undeniable impressive.
The instant Alexia approached, Baruk roared and swung his hammer in a devastating arc. The impact would make the very ground tremble. Kyros watched carefully, waiting for a chance to attack, while commanding the other two to approach him.
However, once again, the girl dodged the strike with movements as fluid as the wind. The knight could barely keep up with the girl’s movements, she was far too fast.
In an instant, Alexia appeared behind her opponent. Her blade, glowing with impressive energy, slashed across the knight’s back with a <Moon Slash>.
A hoarse scream escaped the giant’s lips as his muscles convulsed violently. He almost dropped to his knees, his hammer falling beside him with a dull thud. His eyes were wide with agony, and his breathing became shallow and irregular.
The man finally collapsed to his knees, his pupils dilated from the pain of the blows he had endured, and at last, he muttered the words Alexia wanted to hear:
"I give up."
And just like that, another opponent was eliminated.
"Impressive," said Kyros, his cold and absolutely calm voice contrasting with the adrenaline surging through his veins. "Stay behind me. We have to fight together," he told the mage and the warrior beside him.
Luis, on the other hand, was anything but calm. He screamed desperately for the rest of his subordinates to defeat Alexia once and for all. He could no longer shake the fear that that damn woman would defeat all of his warriors.
He couldn’t bear the humiliation of being defeated by the servant he had so carelessly discarded. He couldn’t accept it, he simply couldn’t let it happen. His pride would never allow it.
However, reality didn’t care one bit about that man’s useless pride. Alexia charged forward once again, swift as the wind. She decided to stop holding back.
And Kyros got ready in a fight stance.
