Chapter 154: The Outcome Of Our Choices [1]

After their long and tiring night, Jin and the troops led by Persevis headed their way to the tavern. Where they were greeted with the utmost respect that they could’ve acquired. And yet a few of them didn’t have any time to take a simple rest, one of those people was Jin. That was accompanied by the readers that earned the trust of his stingy companion

"Sir Jin, can I ask why are we carrying senior spell? Didn’t you just tell us that he suffered from a variety of lethal and life-threatening attacks," Yuuko was the only one out of the readers aside from Hyunsu that was brave enough to ask this question

Why were they carrying the unconscious body of their ally into the meeting room? Instead of placing him in the care of the medicinal-type players that tended to the injured? Their curiosity grew to be unbearable until they questioned the command of their ally. Rather it was a little too much to call themselves his ally since they hardly know one another. Outside the area where they try to survive their day-to-day basis in the world of the novel

"Oh, that’s why you guys are acting a little tense? You should’ve said something if you were curious about it. I could’ve just explained while you were carrying my body," He woked up after his ears could no longer stand the noise they were emitting that disturbed his slumber. A few of them were shocked and Jin simply greeted him once he awaken from his slumber

"Good evening, Morris I didn’t think you’ll spend about a week inside the distorted space," Once they’ve heard about their topic, they notice that his body didn’t have any kind of injuries. That was inflicted on him when he was one of the few that fought the asura, in hopes of containing the mysterious side character

"Evening is a little odd to hear. When I was in the distorted space I set my alarm for the morning. Guess that 10 grand of tokens was equivalent to a week,"

"10 grand!!? Morris nim you wasted 10,000 tokens for your immediate recovery? You could’ve just had your body tended by the players within the cult," Hyunsu was shocked when he heard about the amount that was used to recover from his previous battle with their most recent enemy

"10, 000 tokens is only a small amount of money if you were to compare it to my whole wealth. Don’t tell me you’ve forgotten about my money-making schemes. Blake is my personal potion vending machine, im a core member of the cult. Don’t forget about my contributions, the value of the gluttony core, Jin is our blacksmith. So if you put all of that together, I only have to focus on our food and materials for Jin’s next big project. And my equipment can just be obtained if I ask the player im contracted with,"

Half a month outside the real world he was able to acquire a contract with Agni and the days he spent in the trials. He amassed a variety of ways to further increase his currency through the means of alchemy. Culinary arts that he displayed with his memories intact and the arrival of a skilled blacksmith. Only lowered the usage of their tokens, which he uses as a means to acquire a few things. Locked within a path that only a few players that were wealthy enough could enter

"Stop flexing your tokens, look at the poor guy. Oops, I didn’t mean it that way Hyunsu, it was a figure of speech. Don’t compare yourself to this jackass he has a lot of free time on his hands. Okay... This tension is getting a little awkward should we just enter the room?" Jin broke their silence when their situation got worse than he could’ve ever imagined. Which they remained silent about once they entered the meeting room

"You’ve finally arrived," Most of the people that attended bowed their heads in front of their arrival. They aimed their gratitude at the players that risked their lives to save that of a single individual. They didn’t voice out their complaints when their leader was the very first one to have bowed his head. Making it clear to everyone else that they would’ve faced his wrath if they were to question his commands

[Now this kind of treatment is truly befitting of our caliber don’t you think? Those ignorant members that were oh so hostile to you before are now being kind. Ah, what a load of bull shit is it not? Is that how you use that phrase?]

’Pretty accurate in the way you use it,’

[Can the two of you have this conversation once you’ve addressed the present situation? This is not a laughing matter, sometimes I wonder if you two were the pair of heroes. That helped me when no one didn’t heed my warnings about the unforeseen calamity in the city of Grequil]

After they sat on their appointed seating arrangement they began their meeting. Those that were in sight were either the few players that Persevis has trusted. The ones that were related to the termination quest and lastly those who manages to save his solving. For what may have become a death sentence that was ordered by the Game masters themselves. Apart from the ones invited to the meeting, their topic wasn’t something that anyone could easily guess

"Ahem, thank you for having the time to trouble yourself to attend this meeting. As you may all know that this whole operation didn’t have any kind of benefits. Rather it was my selfish request to search for my long-lost sibling. Even though we saved her there are still a ton of things that we ought to be held responsible for. Our actions caused the rage of the Game masters and we will certainly have a repeat of the first trial,"

They were shocked by this sudden turn of events when they just managed to have a little breath of fresh air. They were then brought back to the hellish truth that is reality, which has its own set of ideas concerning their lives. The very thought of just reliving the tragedy of the first trials was already seen as a major threat. Now their leader has just announced that there is a high possibility that the rank of the trials that were now F. Would undoubtedly be brought back to E

Before they could even throw their anger onto their leader, they were interrupted by a loud slam. That originated from a book that was held by a player that yawned over such a rude display for a meeting. He had a glare that translate into his disgust, a person that didn’t even want to attend. Nevertheless, he was curious about what their topic was all about and the result just only pisses him off

"Is there a problem with core member Morris?" Siegfried addresses his sudden act that caught the attention of everyone inside the room. He replies to his answer by throwing the book in Siegfried’s direction and standing up from his seat. Walking towards the seat of their lead whilst he stops midway and sat on the table

"What the hell is he doing?" Xiao Fen whispered at a volume where his voice could be heard by his companions

"This must be the rumored acts of senior spell. I heard all about it when our leader has spoken about the previous meeting," Quinton was astonished by the display of such charisma that Morris was demonstrating in front of dozens of players

"Now that I’ve got all your attention, listen up jackass. I’m only saying this once but isn’t it quite so early to blame your leader? You guys are a dozen or so pieces of utter shit!! Biting the hand that feeds you, what a rude display didn’t your parents teach you any better?" He taunted them and immediately pointed their anger at how high he was acting. When he was one of the few people that loathe Persevis the most and now he’s trying to protect him? They were confused about what he was trying to accomplish even the man himself asked him about his objective

"Core member Christopher Morris, can you make it clear what you wish to acquire from doing this act?" Even though Persevis was hiding behind his usual tone and personality, he was on the verge of his breaking point. Yet even his pride couldn’t manage to thank him for defending his honor against the critics coming out of his subjects

[The stage is finally set, what are you waiting for? Do it now! I’ve been waiting to see this plan of yours be disclosed. What is it that’s hidden behind the book that you’re currently in possession of?]

"Okay, ladies if you’ve finally found your composure then allow me to introduce you to the guide. Handwritten by yours truly, it has a full record of every kind of monster inside this biome. Attack patterns, survival guides, and strategies are inside this book. Now let me ask this question, little crackheads, let’s say, someone leaked this information. Wouldn’t that change the outcome of the trials, whether the difficulty rank has changed? The rank won’t affect the monster’s behavior, but I suggest that you’ll get ready for a story quest all in all I just found our ticket out of this hell hole,"
