Chapter 121: Frigid Village [3]
What a shocking turn of events, to think that the guy who’s going to be one of the most powerful characters to be made except for the mc, but the Gaust im looking at is so skinny. Frail and might I add that his personality doesn’t even match how I wrote him to be, strong and prideful. Along with his power, he could even solo a few monsters the mc apart from that he’s silent by nature and doesn’t like any company at all. For real that’s his whole character what the heck is this thing that has the same name as him for chance does he have another sibling named Gaust as well?
Within the center of the library, he lounges on a chair and reads to his heart, he didn’t have a passion in terms for learning magic. Yet his body said otherwise apart from it being weak it has one of the best things a person would wish for learning capacity. Just like what he wrote about this side character he created that solves his problem with a plan and not barbaric actions when it could have been dealt with by a simple solution
[Reading won’t help you, Morris, do you think you’ll find the augmentation skill here? Something like that won’t be within their library of all places where anyone could access it]
"True I’ve known that for a long time after I’ve been reading a few books," He answered his Deities concerns about his pointless actions
[Then why are we wasting our lives here in the first place what could you learn in this shambles that I can’t teach? I’m a Deity that dedicated his whole life to studying the mystical arts known as magic. It’s completely absurd that you even try to find a better teacher than me what could a measly book compare to someone like me?]
"I’m trying to learn some spells, having an ice attribute spell would come in handy when the time comes. The only beginner spell was Freeze the only thing it was useful for was its synergy with Wave. I’m not sure that would be useful in the long run after I found something better and stronger am I right?" He continued to read the books within the library with no progress whatsoever he found himself left by his Deity that was tending to his research. Alone on that cold evening, he strolled the surrounding area for the first time without anyone to accompany him. A screeching noise would engulf his surroundings howls and huffs the sound of scratches within his surrounding grew so eerie
Yet those noises seem to grow when he continued his nightly stroll through the village. Until it disappeared without a trace along with a shadowy figure that manifested itself on his back, he quickly knocks it back with a Chi-infused kick. A monstrous figure was in front of his side bearing a similar feature to the people that resides in this village. Bear a pale figure skeletal body and antlers that grew bigger than its host, accompanied with razor sharp claws and a stomach that has no limit to what it could carry. A monster born from the stories told to scare him at night the curse that would turn any into a relentless monster
"They who subjects to the act of cannibalism would carry a tremendous pain, along with it being inherited by their descendants. A curse unlike any other this one doesn’t intend to kill its host, it’s meant so that they would survive at any point of their life. A power that’s comparable to a monster’s ability to regenerate their body along with their quick and agile body to hunt their speeding target. Thus, the curse of the wendigo lingers on the cold climate where it finds its next victim," Before his opponent could recover its strength, long and durable chains wrapped around its ankle that sends the beast to a location far from the city’s reach. From an area that was filled with greenery along with it breaking free of its shackles and lunging to the trees
*Kreeeeiiik*
*Scratch*
*Howl*
Noises that circled Morris appeared once more after the disappearance of his adversary, he wasn’t in the mood to be attacked and followed in its footsteps. Deep into the forest, he felt a chill that entered his spine and the arrival of a speeding monster on his back along with its claws ready to hack his body to its core. Yet its attack was stopped by a tree that suddenly became alive and threw him far from the reach of his target
[Devouring Fellinair Staff - A staff created by the Blacksmith Jin and the mana of its wielder Morris. The monster rises again yet this time it was faced with the flurry of attacks that were sent by his enemy, he shoots a bright magic orb to its face that detonated and blinds it for a few seconds. Enough for him to chain his attacks by turning his staff into a sword upon receiving a lot of mana from his breathing. Its senses were heightened to the point where it doesn’t rely on its eyes and uses its nose to track its foe’s movement
*Slash*
*Parry*
[System: The player Christopher Morris has activated the skill Haste, giving him a burst of movement speed for a period of time]
With the help of his skill, he parried the monster’s attack and used his increased movements to change his footing and evade its powerful swing before his blade could no longer block. Sending out a powerful slash that severed a dozen or so trees to fall without a single sweat, at that moment he connected another one of his spells that made a cocoon. Swallowing most of the monster’s body what was left on the surface was the head of his foe
"Mystic slash + Dagger arts, Raging strike!" Combining the strongest skills he could easily use without any backlash against his body. He’s Dagger formed a bright light that illuminated the cold freezing forest where the two have an all-out battle of strength. The surrounding areas grew restless with their conflict with one another clashes would shake the snow. Their battle cries were said to have traveled from afar where anyone would mistake their cries for a nearby monster
*Kieeeeeeeek!!?*
His foe grew stronger by the second his stomach wasn’t filled with any sustenance for its body to not rely upon the curse yet it only makes its struggle. The more it feels pain, its mouth would drool from the smell of the blood that came from the small cuts dealt by its claw. With every limb regenerated its hunger makes it more difficult for anyone to have the upper hand
"Geez, your one tough bastard you know that, I never thought that our second meeting would be like this. Aren’t I correct Gaust? Or have you forgotten your name after you transformed into that beast maybe you even have eaten your siblings by now? Well, I wouldn’t know as long as I haven’t torn through your stomach and checked for myself," He smiled at his character after its form was slowly changing to a much larger form than before
A few hours ago

Back to the present
"Graaaaahh!! Shut up I didn’t kill anyone!! Shut up, Shut up, Shut up, Shut up, Shut up!!!" With his taunts, he was able to connect to his consciousness even in his current form which only desires the flesh of anything it could sink its teeth into. At this point, his form changed to a fully formed wendigo, with antlers that reach the skies and a body that would tower upon the houses of the villagers. His power increased by another level once more and formed a stance for him to lunge and take a single leap to enter the village. Yet he pushed him beyond his patience thinking that he could’ve done this without harming Gaust’s body
[System: You’ve summoned the maximum capacity of the skill Mirage, you’ve chosen the mimicry option to command your clones]
"Mana breathing overclocked!!!" Up into the air, they go once Gaust leaped where Morris summoned his copies and started mimicking his every move. Consuming a huge portion of mana that course through their bodies with every second passing until they could no longer acquire any more than they could handle
Holding onto the chains that were holding their body from being swept away by the powerful winds. He conjured up a spell that sucks up everything within his body and later on the mana within his copies would flow to the chains. And transferred to the original creating a bright and flickering glow of thunder in his palms that made contact with Gaust’s body creating a flash that would rival countless thunder that struck in a single position. Along with it the noise that it carried after the attack was directly struck waking every citizen to see a powerful glow within the top of their village. Without any knowledge of the fight that occurred between the two, he slowly dragged his unconscious body to his home where his siblings were waiting for his arrival
"Damn you smell like a fucking corpse after getting struck by 21 thunderbolts, I can’t believe that youre still alive after that. Well now that you know how strong I am don’t piss me off, I have a way to increase my clones, and when I do you’re not gonna live any longer than a day," In the cold and freezing evening the villagers were amazed by the light that occurred without any threat to be found
