Chapter 107: Watch Over Her [2]
"Looks like your condition has greatly improved within these two days of rest, along with the stability of your life. You can now have a wonderful chat with Mr. Morris once I checked your conditions even if we can see that your bodies functioning properly it’s not bad to be a little cautious,"
’The time has come for my chat with their Leader after I fully recovered from my injuries, there isn’t a clue whatsoever on why he’s helping me recuperate. Does he know about the World Of Trials? Is he someone that I could trust, a lot of things are popping up inside my head after he saved me from those players? Even if he has some ulterior motives why did he treat me like I’m some kind of guess even going so far as to appoint a Doctor? He’s strange that’s the only thing that I learned from his actions, whether he is an ally or an enemy, I should stay here, for the time being,’
Just when they were about to start her daily check-up Blake was given a very worrisome message that made Charlotte’s daily check-up be postponed. After he found a few intruders triggered the alarms that were set throughout the Mansion to detect any kind of suspicious movement
[Ding Code red!]
"Ok Mr. Charles we’ve arrived at our destination, oh my I seem to have forgotten some of my tools could you wait for a while it won’t take long," Blake closed the door before Charlotte could see a dozen players falling to the ground by the poison that he purposely placed in the hallway. While a few ganged up on his back after they saw his potions at work which he dodges along with countering their attacks with his fists paired with a few kicks that knocked them out of his range
’That was a close one if I were a little slow by a millisecond I would’ve afflicted Ms. Charlotte with the poison I prepared for the intruders. Seeing as they attacked at the schedule that Mr. Morris predicted I can tell that they’re after the key that she possesses. Just what does that Gigantic hole in the middle of those small-scale Labyrinths that they have to kill someone to obtain what’s rightfully hers? If she does carry that item Mr. Morris had spoken of then her life is important, the item that he must have been searching for could only be found by using the key, if so I need to do my very best to make sure that I guard this door,’
Blake prepared his Knife along with a few potions that he prepared for the occasion in case of an emergency. His enemies were cautious after some of their men were killed without him even laying his finger, giving him the time to disrobe his coat along with a few of his medical tools. For he would not be in the need of a tool to save a person’s life when he has prepared to take another, a man that was kind enough to let show his opponents mercy. Wouldn’t even flinch after they were targeted by an attack even the most polite and kind man that he was known for, was able to act as a Cold-blooded Murderer
[Blake, might I remind you that you have a patient who’s waiting for your arrival? You should try and finish this brawl of yours it’s disrespectful to the patient if the Apothecary doesn’t tend to their needs]
"I know, I know, but Mr. Morris said that I must ensure the safety of Ms. Charlotte I’ve already seen through their pattern the moment they slipped," Blake rushes to their location where he swings his Knife after he got closer which was countered with the enemy’s attack. Unfortunately, his target wasn’t able to escape from his clutches the knife was only a decoy for his attack to work, in this instance, he injected a portion of his Mana into his fingertips enhancing both its power and precision. That was used as a weapon that strikes the player’s vitals until they were frozen In place
[System: The player Blake Belfast has activated the skill Acupuncture, by combining a series of stimulation within one’s nerves it can bring about an effect. That’s either deadly enough to vanquish a powerful enemy, or it could be used to save a person’s life by controlling the flow of the human body]
"Y-You’re a Monster! How could someone like you be a Doctor that treats the weak," Said one of the players after they saw his other side, that he was keeping hidden from the eyes of his patient
"Aren’t you a little naive? If a person knows how to save someone’s life, then they’ll only have to do the opposite to learn to kill... I’m a person that would give you mercy I can’t grant you the privilege of escaping this Mansion of ours after you got a good glimpse of our face but no worries. If it would please you I can make it so that your death would be painless as possible, I can grant you that much since you haven’t laid a finger on my patient," Blake pulled out a dozen or so needles within his inventory after displaying his skills in terms of subduing his opponent
[System: The player Blake Belfast has activated the skill Alchemical overdose, the player will now acquire a body that can handle multiple applications of potions]
His patience has finally run out after he kept his composure was brought to its end as the players that he warned, would choose the path that he predicted. Their Aura’s didn’t falter even with his threat it only grew to double its size when their teammates finally arrived at the scene, holding the same thing as the ones he recently clashed his fists. Their Intent to kill wasn’t extinguished it only grew up along with their increasing numbers, he never felt disappointed with someone else’s choices in his life, the only thing he could do for them was to put them out of their misery
"Needle arts, Endless shower," He sends out a barrage of needles at his opponents which neither killed them in the process, which they see their bodies paralyzed along with their sense of pain stimulated by a certain degree. They would scream at the top of their lungs without anyone coming to their rescue, yet their cries wouldn’t even reach the closes person apart from Blake. Which was inside a room that was designed to be soundproof for the patient to relax without any kind of noise to plague annoy them in their pursuit of restoring their strength
[Keep them alive, even a few dogs like these can be useful, I remember that I have to teach you how to brew a certain potion. It requires a lot of skill and if done incorrectly you wouldn’t know if you fail if no one were to taste it]
"Oh did you hear that even a piece of trash like you can even be used to be a test subject of sorts to improve the miracle known as potions? Mr. Morris already has a few of them lying on the ground so why not use all of you to increase my mastery I alchemy," Blake places their bodies inside a cart where he would push it to the workshop he created for his use, even if someone were to hear their screams they would need to cross the poison he throws that was both colorless and odorless leaving them falling into his trap
’There’s a price in creating a Miracle some say it was not an option that any person should choose. To risk their lives so that the people would learn about the effect of every herb that existed in the World Of Trials. This shows that a Miracle can’t be created without a few sacrifices, even if my choices would be seen as amoral in the eyes of the other Apothecaries. I would gladly pay the price of tarnishing my good name if it was for the sole reason of further improving the potions,’
[He’s a little twisted isn’t he Morris?]
"Being that nice in a world like this? It’s too hard not to be suspicious of his personality. But I have no problem with his personality I can even say that it might be his strong suit, let’s check on our hostages, shall we? It’s been a long time since I placed them within Nightmare sooner or later their heads will be broken, I’ll check the surveillance later it’s time to milk those cows,"
With a face that would calm any person down and an attitude to save anyone who asked for his help, this Apothecary wasn’t as naive. As one would expect an individual that took the path of Alchemy to save those that wish to be saved. While he flaunts his ideas of improving his skills if it meant that he can use the lives of the criminals in exchange. A person that believes in Miracles would even go as far as to sacrifice a few to save the many an ideal that Morris has taken a liking to which made him earn his place on his team
