Chapter 75 - 75 59 Inventory of Spoils of War
75: Chapter 59: Inventory of Spoils of War 75: Chapter 59: Inventory of Spoils of War On Fire Island, Medea was giving Nora a lesson.
The seductive redhead, with her arms folded, adopted a “been there, done that” attitude, and, with her chin up, said to Nora:
“Men, you see, come in different species.
Most men are like stupid pigs, in heat 365 days a year, unable to resist mounting a pretty female when they see one.”
“But there are rare species too.
For example, our Squad Leader is like a proud feline.”
“To deal with a feline, simply waiting for him to pursue you is impossible since they’re essentially loners, but if you throw yourself at him, he’ll just think you’re degrading yourself.”
Nora blushed furiously, almost wishing she could dig a hole and crawl into it.
She and Eleanor wouldn’t share their private affairs with Medea, but alas, the latter’s Mind Power combined with Nora’s recent preoccupation made her thoughts as transparent as if they were written on her face, unable to hide anything from Medea, a seasoned veteran of such matters.
“So what should I do?” Nora asked hesitantly.
“The key is to maintain a barely-there distance!” Medea, using a stick as a pointer, wrote a line of words on the ground, “Too close, and he won’t value you; too distant, and he’ll neglect you.”
“You have to use the technique of a female cat with a male cat, maintaining the right distance at first, then nonchalantly flirt a little, making him blossom with joy, followed by swiftly and politely distancing yourself, inducing in him a sense of regretful loss, and then flirt with him again.”
“Like flying a kite, releasing and pulling, releasing and pulling.”
“This…” Nora was hesitant.
It didn’t sound too difficult, but why did it feel somewhat like being a Green Tea Bitch?
Her thoughts once again read by Medea, the redhead immediately scolded her as if hating that steel wouldn’t turn into a needle:
“What’s this Green Tea Bitch?
Heavens, Nora, you’re questioning the precious experiences accumulated by love experts over thousands of years!”
“Listen well, licking fur directly will never end well, confessing your feelings will only be rejected, and upon rejection, you will be kept at a distance!”
“Your current situation is very dangerous, like being slashed in the forehead by Lion’s Fang, on the brink of a split skull!”
“Uh.” Nora laughed and cried at the same time, “Your metaphor…”
“Why would I say such a thing?!” Medea too was helpless, holding her forehead, thinking she must have been trained too rigorously by Aske recently, brainwashed by his teaching content, and quickly corrected herself:
“Anyway, you understand what I mean.
You can’t get too close to him, but you also can’t be too distant.
The key lies in the words ‘elusive yet approachable.’
While she was engrossed in discussing the secrets of romance, screams of surprise came from the girls on the other side.
The two of them hurriedly got up and ran over, only to see the ground now filled with countless boxes and chests, with more being teleported in.
Aske walked up to one of the chests, pulled open the door, and revealed rows of Magic Potion neatly lined up inside.
Though all were Duel Sequence and Foundation Sequence level I Magic Potions, they were enough to solve some team members’ urgent needs.
“Gasp!” The girls, upon seeing the contents of the chest, all took in a deep breath.
Blunt Weapon I, Projection I, Evasion I, Block I…
Aske began to count them with satisfaction.
For a “Weapon Master” Bloodline, lv1-lv5 were all Duel Sequence Magic Potions, meaning he had collected all the Magic Potions he needed up to lv5.
He was the biggest beneficiary of this event.
Of course, other girls also urgently needed Duel or Foundation Sequence Magic Potions, such as Eleanor’s “Crusader”, Sigrdrifa’s “Titan,” and Miel’s “Destiny Shooter.” The former needed “Perfect Physique X” and “Block I,” while the latter two needed Foundation Sequence’s “Strong X” and “Agility X” to lay the foundation.
Without going into further details, after the second expansion of the team, the era of an all-Transcendent team was about to arrive.
With a “swoosh,” Mia’s figure emerged from the air, rolled stably to the ground with a Receiving Body, then stood up, breathing a sigh of relief as if she had had a close call:
“Scared me to death, the Demigod arrived so quickly, I barely escaped…”
Her gaze fell on those boxes and chests, and she immediately exclaimed excitedly: “Holy moly!
We’re rich, we’re rich, we’re rich!”
“Let’s move all this stuff into the house,” Aske said.
So, the girls started moving things excitedly, and in less than ten minutes, they had moved everything out.
Then, the happy unboxing began.
“3000 pounds in cash!” Mia shouted as she opened a folder.
“This Armor looks very impressive,” Sigrdrifa said as she felt around an armor set on a rack, “and it’s quite heavy.”
“That’s Magic Copper Armor,” Aske added, “Magic Copper is an advanced mineral; besides being a sturdy material, its most important property is anti-magic.”
“Wearing this full-coverage Magic Copper Armor, all Extraordinary Powers will have no effect on the wearer inside, especially abilities like Mind, Spiritual Body, or Desire.”
“So, who’s going to wear this?” Medea asked frowningly.
Blocking her Mind Power?
That didn’t sound like good news; it was like always cheating in exams, and suddenly a classmate won’t let you cheat.
“Give it to Eleanor,” Aske decided, “priority for the anti-Control equipment goes to the MT, switch the Meteorite Armor to Sigrdrifa for building up frontal defensive power.”
They had been together for so long, and the girls had somewhat gotten used to Aske’s various peculiar terminologies.
