54: Chapter 44 Theodora “Your Majesty 54: Chapter 44 Theodora “Your Majesty Anatolia, Caesarea, fell to the mighty siege of the Seljuk army at 1:30 PM.

The planes from Constantinople circled high above, quickly dropping twelve aviation burning bombs.

The formations of soldiers hit by the bombs instantly erupted into fireballs, numerous men aflame screaming in chaos, unable to shake off the burning oil and tar clinging to their bodies.

Soon enough, these flaming men fell to the ground in agony, with their corpses continuing to burn slowly.

The Seljuk soldiers formed up nearby remained stable and collected, not even glancing at their comrade who were burnt to death.

Each formation had at least one Transcendent of Mind II to maintain and control the morale of the troops.

Even if everyone lined up to be bombarded by aviation burning bombs, it would take months to finish them all off.

Not to mention the Seljuk reinforcements that were continuously supplied from Syria, the Caucasus, and even the Ilanian Plateau.

Inside the ornate command tent, the supreme Sultan of the Seljuks, His Majesty Suleiman had just received the news of the capture of Caesarea from a messenger.

He strode out of the tent with his head held high and addressed the assembled officers and guards,

“Today, the Lord has brought us news of victory.

The central pivot of Anatolia, Caesarea, has been taken by our warriors.”

The officers and samurai guards cheered.

However, Suleiman quickly made a “silence” gesture with a clenched fist, prompting everyone to quiet down again.

“These foolish Solomon people have yet to realize why they have failed.

Did they fail because of the battle at Manzikert?

Because of the Emperor’s laughable orders?

Or because of a lack of military resources?

Because there was no support from the West?

Or even, because they are simply not as strong and valiant by nature as we are?”

“It’s none of those!” Suleiman lifted a finger emphatically, “Their failure is because they have become corrupt!”

“The Lord said, ‘I fashioned you from the soil so that you may multiply and fill the earth.

Every family must have four children, so that after the souls of the parents return to Heaven, the descendants who continue their bloodline can still run on this world.'” Suleiman scoffed disdainfully, speaking loudly, “Yet, the degenerate Solomon people, do you know how many children the average family has?”

“One!” The officers raised a finger, laughing together in ridicule.

“They are degenerate!” Suleiman spread his arms, flames of ambition rising in his eyes, “They indulge in the pleasures brought by so-called technology, chasing after spirits that numb the mind and ridiculous variety shows.

They have enough to raise children, but they do not wish to procreate.

They fear children would consume their wealth, hindering their own indulgences.

They disregard the past, do not seek the afterlife; they only desire ease and indulgence in this life!”

“Yet the Lord says, a nation that does not pursue the future does not even deserve to exist now!” Suleiman’s voice thundered, causing the officers to involuntarily bow in submission, “The Solomon people of today are becoming fewer and fewer; they continue to castrate themselves to the point where they are too few to inherit the glory of Ancient Solomon.

They no longer deserve this vast land and wealth!

Seljuk people, answer me, answer your Monarch Your Majesty!”

“What compels us to conquer the East Solomon Empire?”

“It is the Lord, the will of the Lord!”

“According to the will of the Lord, who should rule this land and sea?”

“It is us, the Seljuk people!”

“Who are we!” Suleiman bellowed.

“We are the future of mankind!” The officers and guards shouted back, their voices echoing far and wide.

“Go forth, warriors!” Suleiman drew his saber, pointing towards the smoke-ridden Caesarea, “Conquer Caesarea and bring redemption to those corrupt Solomon people!

Kill all men taller than a saber and all women with more than seven white hairs!”

“Send the children of the Solomon people to our collective rearing camps; they will become the finest Seljuk warriors!

Send the young women of Solomon to your tents and beds, and sow your seeds to your heart’s content!

Proliferate the Seljuk bloodline to the ends of the continent and sea!”

Following Emperor Sultan’s orders, the officers roared back to camp.

Moments later, the Seljuk army began to march in formation, a dark mass of armed soldiers pouring in from all directions.

The smoking Caesarea amidst the besieging army was like an island in a tsunami, about to face the most tragic of fates.

Calculating the time, the Seljuk army likely pushed into the central part of Anatolia.

Standing by the side of the street, Aske gazed at the bustling traffic, thoughtfully pondering.

In a month’s time, the Seljuk army would reach Nicaea.

In half a month, the Seljuk army would finish transporting troops across the Aegean Sea and begin the siege of Constantinople.

Two months later, Constantinople fell.

Zoe and Theodora fled to the Sirius Province by airplane, while tens of millions of Constantinopolitan civilians were massacred and plundered.

Thus, the main storyline of the public beta version came to an end, and the plot timeline entered the official version 1, “Blood Battle of the Balkans.”

For Aske, the final deadline for evacuation was two months later, which was when the Seljuk Turks crossed the Aegean Sea and officially approached the walls of Constantinople.

Once the western land route was blocked, it meant that Constantinople had become a besieged city.

With tens of thousands of NPC soldiers blocking the city beneath, breaking through was simply impossible, not to mention Aske was an esports player.

Even if he were an esports champion, it wouldn’t be possible, unless a GM account came and deleted these NPC soldiers.

The team still lacked an Arcane Mage…

Aske thought for a moment, his gaze landing on a bench across the street where someone was sitting and reading a newspaper.

A court spy?

Aske chuckled and walked away with Eleanor and the others.

The spy put down the newspaper, and beneath the sunglasses, his gaze followed Aske’s departing figure.

His hand quietly reached into his pocket and pressed the transmitter button.

On the other side, Theodora was already seated in a car, accompanied by two officer guards tasked with protecting her safety.

Michael took the driver’s seat and drove towards the GPS location indicated by the transmitter.

More than ten minutes later, following the clues provided by a neighbor, Aske and the others arrived at a local tavern.

As soon as they pushed open the door, the humid and sweaty scent inside made the three girls cover their noses immediately.

“There, at that corner table,” Miel pointed to a table where three men were drinking.

Aske walked straight up to them, pulled out a handgun, fired a shot into the air, scaring all the patrons into fleeing, and then pressed the gun against the back of the young man’s head, pushing him down onto the alcohol-covered table.

“I ask, you answer,” Aske said coldly.

“Break the rules, get shot.

Understand?”

“I understand,” the man raised his hands in surrender, his voice trembling, pale with fear.

His two comrades at the table scrambled away in a panic.

So only Aske’s group and the young man remained in the tavern.

“Come here, Miel,” Aske called with a wave of his hand.

“Is this man your uncle?”

Miel nodded.

“The noble who tried to violate you and was ultimately killed, did you introduce him?” Aske continued to ask.

“Yes…

yes…” The young man seemed to have a premonition of what would happen next and was so frightened that his legs went weak.

He barely stayed upright by supporting himself on the table.

“Why would you do this?!” Eleanor asked angrily.

“I didn’t want to either!” the young man cried out.

“Do you think I wanted to take care of her?

I’m just a thug!

I live by swindling and deceiving.

Suddenly, the Civil Affairs Bureau comes to me saying my brother’s daughter has become an orphan and, according to the Empire’s law, I, as the only relative, must take her in!”

“But where would I get the money?” he shouted, pointing to Miel, who stood behind him, pale: “She’s not my daughter!

Why should I take her in?

These damn Empire laws!

I can barely manage two meals a day for myself.

How am I supposed to afford another mouth?

How would I make money if not in the flesh trade?

Besides, isn’t she an Elf?

There are many Elves in that line of work…”

Eleanor’s face turned iron blue, and suddenly she delivered a heavy punch, knocking out all his teeth.

Sigrdrifa promptly jumped out, excitedly saying:

“Shall we begin the punishment?

Let’s start!”

Aske ignored her remark, simply looking at Miel with a gentle tone:

“To kill or to spare?

The choice is yours.”

Before Miel could speak, the young man, grasping at straws like a drowning man, began to plead with Miel in a trembling voice:

“Don’t kill me!

Am I not your uncle?

If you kill me, you’re committing kin-slaying!

You’ve already killed a person…

Yes, you’ve killed before; if you kill again, your crime increases by a degree!

Those who ran away have already called the cops, and they’ll be here soon!

Wait any longer, and none of you will escape.

You’ll all end up before a firing squad!”

“Who said so?” A girl wrapped in a veil walked in from outside, staring at the pale-faced young man, and said, “I heard from outside.

It seems you have quite the opinion on Empire’s law.

But do you know that evading your obligation to foster only results in a fine from the Civil Affairs Bureau at most and the revocation of your guardianship?

As for forcing a young girl into illegal physical trade…”

She chuckled, saying coldly, “That’s what gets you shot.”

Upon hearing this, the young man’s entire body shivered uncontrollably.

He instinctively felt the stranger girl was quite dangerous, for she exuded an aura of authority that came with occupying high positions, and for a moment, he was even frightened enough to nearly lose bladder control.

Aske, however, looked strangely at the suddenly arriving stranger.

His gaze focused on the pair of eyes visible above her veil, overlapping with the face in his memory.

Theodora in purple?

Why would Her Majesty be here?
