Shen Sinian: "Do I have to go through any selection?"

Min Jian chuckled, "With your appearance, height, and dance skill, you don’t need to go through those auditions."

His judgment was precise.

Shen Sinian uttered, "If you say it’s not needed, then it’s not needed."

Min Jian hummed, telling him that he would go through a period of training first, and then debut with two other selected people as a trio. If they got popular after debut, they might get chances to act in dramas.

After listening to Min Jian, Xu Chuning puzzled, "The first time you talked with Shen Sinian, didn’t you mention that a production team was also looking for people?"

Min Jian: "I haven’t forgotten about that."

He told the trio, "Indeed, there is a director selecting actors for a character, and I think Shen Sinian fits the image well, so I want to take him for a screen test."

But whether he’d be selected in the end remained uncertain.

Xu Chuning nodded understandingly.

Shen Yubai then asked a few more questions.

Throughout the negotiation, the trio gained a solid understanding of the matters concerning debut.

After the discussion, Min Jian said, "Any more questions?"

Xu Chuning: "He is still a high school student."

Min Jian smiled, "Don’t worry, we have considered this. If he signs for debut, we’ll arrange activities mainly during weekends and school holidays."

Xu Chuning nodded.

Min Jian turned to Shen Yubai, "Do you have any questions?"

From the conversation, Min Jian realized that Shen Yubai and Xu Chuning were not merely Shen Sinian’s classmates; they almost acted like his spokespersons, as the questions mostly came from them. They seemed much like spokespeople for Shen Sinian.

Shen Yubai, thinking longer term, asked Min Jian several professional questions with clear logic.

After concluding, Shen Yubai calmly said, "We will discuss it back home, and if there are no objections, we can sign the contract."

At this point, he paused and looked at Min Jian, "But before signing, we would like to see the contract from your side."

"That is natural," Min Jian expressed understanding.

Shen Yubai nodded, "The contract term cannot be too long."

Min Jian’s expression slightly stiffened, "How long exactly?"

Shen Yubai glanced at Shen Sinian, "Three years?"

Min Jian forced a smile, "This student, three years might not be really feasible."

Training a debutant artist requires considerable effort. No agency would offer a three-year contract unless the artist is already famous and it’s a renewal.

Only under such circumstances would a company agree to such terms.

Shen Yubai: "Our side will arrange for professionals to discuss with your company, we’ll see the specifics later."

Min Jian paused and then quietly said, "Alright, shall we wrap it up for today?"

Shen Sinian: "Contact anytime if there’s anything."

Before leaving, Min Jian couldn’t help but ask, "Are you two really not considering debuting?"

He was referring to Shen Yubai and Xu Chuning.

Shen Yubai: "No plans."

Shen Yubai: [The results will be available tomorrow morning. If you are anxious to know, I can arrange for someone to deliver them to your school.]

Xu Chuning thought for a moment: [Never mind, I’ll go pick them up after school.]

She was anxious, but didn’t want to trouble others.
