Chapter 50: Chapter 50: Planning

Tyler and David spent the next couple of hours discussing plans for the fabrication plant, fleshing it out.

The problem for them wasn’t the site for the land as David can easily set up the front company in Gumua and acquire enough land for it.

The problem was transporting the machines and raw materials to Gumua after they have been purchased from their manufacturers.

But Tyler already have a solution to it. The idea was to set up at least three front companies in these three countries; Singapore, UAE, and Turkey.

After that, they will purchase different fabrication equipments and materials under cover, labelling them as lab gear, refrigeration units...

These purchases routed to major export-friendly ports for disguise and consolidation—Port Klang (Malaysia), Jebel Ali (UAE), Mersin Port (Turkey).

From there, the shipments would be broken into 3 sets and send to different West/Central African coastal nations, ideally ones with poor customs oversight, with bribe-friendly port officials and has close land routes to Gumua.

Tyler already has two ports in mind. The first was port of Douala located in Cameroon—it’s the closest to Gumua. The second was port of Pointe-Noire located in Republic of the Congo.

He had already done his findings and those two ports fits exactly what he wants.

Then comes the hard part and where the risks are high; inland smuggling of the equipments and materials to Gumua from the ports.

Tyler would need to use regional smuggling routes, plus legit trucking networks. He will break machines into parts, repackaged as agricultural, telecom, or mining equipment.

And also use cash-paid trucking companies or NGO supply convoys for plausible cover. He can’t afford the courier attracting any attention on its way to Gumua.

He already has a route mapped out in his head.

For the port in Cameroon, it would be Douala - Bertoua-eastern Gumua (via secondary roads)

For the port in Congo, it would be Pointe-Noire →BrazZaville - Oubangui River ferry → Gumua.

The second route would be for transporting the materials, as he can’t risk those very expensive machine falling into the water if the ferry were to capsize.

There was actually a third route, Cotonou → Parakou northern Nigeria -border town crossing → Gumua.

The issue with this route is that it’s longer and the fact that it pases through two countries before getting to Gumua increases the risk.

Though it’s not that the first two routes are without their own risks, but it’s not on the same level as the third.

Besides those risks can be mitigated if the deliveries avoid main customs checkpoints, rural border crossings or tribal-controlled territories.

As for the last part of the whole delivery process, David would have to rent warehcouse near border town for "assembly and maintenance".

From there, reassemble the machines that were taken apart, test-run components, and then quietly truck them to the main facility in Gumua, using unmarked convoys.

Of course, just like they say about everything that’s difficult, they are easier said than done.

There are lots of risks involved in this. The risks starts from the machines’ and materials’ manufacturing companies and only stops when those are safely at the main facility in Gumua.

But even with that, the risks doesn’t go completely go down to zero after this, but it’s very minimal to the point that it’s almost negligible.

This was especially with the fact that they intend to set up a front company in Gumua to disguise the main facility.

With the plan outlined and understood completely by the both of them, it was time to talk about the next thing.

This also reminded Tyler that he wanted David to do something for him.

"David, I need you to create a LLC, open a business bank account for it and trading accounts just like the other. I will be taking back control of the LLC with you, as the new LLC will replace it. Let me know when it’s ready so that I can do the needful."

"I will do that," David nodded.

As for the funds, David didn’t ask as Tyler had already told him previously that it wasn’t going to be a problem.

This concluded their meeting. Tyler looked out the window and he saw that the sky was already getting dark.

"David, do you mind staying to have dinner with us? It’s already late and my mom would appreciate if you do," he ordered.

David couldn’t help but turn to look at Tyler. He knew what the kid was doing. He was trying to use his mom to get to him.

"Sure," he accepted the offer, with a bright smile on his face.

Unfortunately, Tyler’s plan worked.

The both of them left the study, making their way down to the dining area.

As he made his way to the dining area, Tyler thought about the plans he was still working on in his head and he decided to push them back.

He can’t have himself spacing out during the time he’s supposed to be spending with his family.

Before Tyler and David got the dining area, their noses were assaulted by the sweet aroma of Helena’s cooking.

They walked to the dining table, took their seats and started eating.

The atmosphere around the table was light, cheerful and peaceful as always.

David and Tyler made sure that they didn’t bring up any serious topic. And Helena made sure that not to ask what they had been discussing in the study for hours.

After dinner, Tyler saw David off, walking him to the gate.

"I will get started on creating the LLC tomorrow. I will be traveling to Singapore, UAE and Turkey tomorrow to create the front companies and their bank accounts. After that, I will fly down to Gumua and finish up things related to VaultPay and also get started on setting up the front Agri company for the main facility, the border warehouses and employing the services of the courier companies that we will need for the road transport," David said.

"Good," Tyler nodded in appreciation, "Just let me know when the front companies and their bank accounts are ready, and I can forward the funds to them."

"Expect a call from me within a week time," David said, as he walked through the gate.

"I will be waiting," Tyler nodded, thanking David once more.

David smiled and started walking down the street. Tyler waited until he had gotten into a taxi, before he walked back inside.

Tyler sighed in relief and smiled in satisfaction as his plan was now in motion. But it doesn’t mean that he can now breathe easy.

He still has a long way to go before he can do that. David will take care of the hard part while he take care of the funding.

As for how much Tyler wants to upscale his daily profit to? A total of $50M across the ten LLCs he has.

Anything more than that was impossible for now, due to risks of attracting the attention of clearing houses and other relevant bodies.

Naturally, Tyler can still scale it up later but that’s still months away.

Also, $50M was still a lot of money. In five days, he will have $250M and the $4B total he needs will be ready in 80 days, which is less than three months.

You can say it’s slow but it’s better to take things slow than to rush and find himself in a sticky situation.

"Soon. The plant will be ready soon and I can start creating the GPUs."
