Return Of The Supreme Beast Tamer -
Chapter 132: Kill!!!
Chapter 132: Kill!!!
The four girls recoiled, their eyes wide with disbelief as the undead horde poured forth from the gate.
"This...?" The leader’s voice was barely a whisper, her composure shattered.
"That... that skeleton is a legendary level!" Another girl exclaimed, her voice laced with pure terror.
All eyes locked onto the towering, four-meter tall armored skeleton. A formidable metal bow was clutched in its bony grip, its crimson eyes sweeping over the petrified quartet.
["Kill."]
The chilling command echoed in the air. Instantly, the two hundred skeletons surged forward, drawing their rusted weapons with a grating screech, a unified wave of death aimed at the four young women.
"We... we can’t win this," a girl with a trembling sword hand stammered, her weapon wavering.
"We have to!" The leader’s voice, though strained, held a flicker of defiance. Her gaze hardened as she fixed it on the advancing skeletal ranks, and with a desperate cry, she lunged forward, crashing into the forefront of the undead legion.
The remaining three exchanged a look of grim determination. The two swordswomen, their fear momentarily eclipsed by resolve, followed their leader into the fray. The last of their group, an archer, nocked an arrow, preparing to provide support from the rear.
"Hmm... Though these girls are weak, they possess a rudimentary understanding of combat," Christopher murmured from his perch atop a nearby boulder, his gaze sharp as he observed the unfolding battle.
On the castle wall, the skeletal general stood impassively, watching as the four girls, despite their initial shock, began to carve a path through his expert-level soldiers with surprising efficiency.
["AHHHH!!!"]
A guttural scream ripped from the general’s bony throat, causing the four fighters to momentarily raise their heads in unison.
’What is this ancient bag of bones planning?’ Christopher mused, his eyes narrowing on the general. ’His minions are only expert level, child’s play for them, but what about him?’
The skeleton general raised his massive bow, aiming it skyward. A pulsating red arrow, crackling with raw energy, materialized into existence. Without a moment’s hesitation, the general released the shot.
BANG!!
BAM!!!
The girls watched in bewildered horror as the remaining skeletons abruptly ceased their advance, digging furiously into the earth and disappearing beneath the surface. In less than ten heartbeats, the battlefield was eerily empty.
WHOOSH!
Christopher’s gaze remained fixed on the ascending red arrow. As it reached a hundred meters, the energy coalesced, and then erupted.
BOOOM!
The girls below stared in stunned silence as a rain of at least a hundred metal arrows, born from the fiery explosion, plunged downwards, aimed directly at their location.
"..."
"Shit!"
BOOOOOM!!!!
’A remarkably precise strike,’ Christopher noted, his expression neutral as he watched the dust cloud billow and slowly dissipate.
Through the settling haze, he saw the leader, kneeling precariously, blood dripping from her hand where she clutched her spear... a faint, shimmering barrier still clung to her form. Sadly, her companions were nowhere to be seen.
"Wow... Impressive resilience," Christopher offered, a hint of genuine admiration in his tone.
["............!!!"]
The skeleton general was visibly taken aback, its bony frame rigid with disbelief at the sight of a lone survivor.
["Kill!"]
With renewed fury, the general issued another command. The skeletal horde erupted from the ground once more, a legion of death charging towards the injured leader.
"I won’t fall so easily!" she declared, her voice hoarse but resolute. Shakily, she pushed herself to her feet, blood streaking her face. With a defiant spin of her spear, she lunged forward to meet the renewed onslaught.
____
[Werewolves’ castle.]
WHOOSH!!!
The severed head of the werewolf general spun through the air, landing with a sickening thud on the blood-soaked ground.
"So... underwhelming," Adrian remarked, casually resting his bloodied sword on his shoulder.
His gaze swept across the carnage that littered the ground – a testament to their brutal efficiency. Dead werewolves lay scattered amidst the bodies of other students.
"We did well," he stated, addressing the four figures standing behind him.
Mitchell cracked his neck, the sound sharp in the sudden quiet. He sheathed his sword, its surface slick with gore.
"Yes... but did you really have to kill the other students?" he questioned, his gaze lingering on the twenty lifeless forms mingled with the werewolves.
"We had no choice... They would have turned on us the moment we secured the castle. Don’t be so sentimental, Mitchell," Mariana retorted, dragging her heavy, bloodied axe behind her, leaving gruesome trails in the dirt. Half of her face was smeared crimson.
Mitchell stared at the unyielding expressions of the four, a sigh escaping his lips.
"But..."
"Shhh..." The second woman in their group stepped forward, halting directly in front of Mitchell. She reached out, tapping his cheek with a blood-stained finger. "I have no patience for weakness... Understood?" Her eyes held a chilling intensity.
Mitchell met her gaze for a long, silent moment before offering a slow, reluctant nod.
"Good..." Adrian turned his attention to the imposing castle gate. "Now that this is settled... we can proceed."
Before he could take a single step, his head snapped to the side, his eyes widening in alarm. With a swift, backward leap, he narrowly avoided the whistling arc of a blade, landing agilely beside his group.
The five stared in stunned silence as the sword, still spinning from its near miss, flew southward.
"I don’t think so."
BAM!
Chloe caught the hilt of her sword. Leyla, Katherine, and Advika following behind her, their weapons already drawn, their expressions resolute.
"Oh... Where is Christopher?" Mariana inquired, a mocking smile playing on her lips.
"We don’t have time for games... We need to take them down and secure the castle. Every second counts," Adrian hissed to his companions, who nodded in grim understanding.
"Why are you blocking our path?!" he demanded aloud.
"You are after our target," Chloe stated simply, her voice devoid of emotion.
She and her three companions formed an unyielding barrier before the five, obstructing their access to the castle gate.
"You!! We fought and killed all the werewolves! Why are you trying to steal our victory?!" the third member of Adrian’s group, a burly youth named Mike, bellowed in fury.
Hmph!
The four girls scoffed in unison, their disdain palpable.
